A stunning, compelling compilation of poetry that excavates the inner workings of the human heart.

I loved this poetry book. I never ever read one, but Ryan convinced me that poetry is so beautiful!
Her poems are filled with energy, love, sadness, ahhhhh the coaster of feelings I ve been experiencing while reading it. I finished it very quickly because I couldn't put it down.
So, yeah, READ IT. LOVE IT. LIVE BY IT. ❤️❤️❤️
Congratulation for this amazing book!!! -
This is a beautiful book all around. From the cover design to the words.
I enjoyed the ebb and flow of this poetry collection as it did not leave you stagnant in any one emotion for too long. It’s a steady roller coaster as the author takes you to ride the highs and surf the lows with each powerful epiphany and each ache of loss.
This collection has something for every heart— young and old, new love, old love, freshly parted from it, self love, man and woman alike. It’s relatable to the heart’s most humble levels.
I would recommend to anyone feeling lost. To know they are not alone. Anyone needing to find themselves. Learning to love again. Learning to love themselves again. -
Poetry is all about emotion. A poetry author's success is defined by the emotion they draw out of the reader. Arterial Motives has almost 170 pages overflowing with pure, raw emotion. The author is wearing her heart on her sleeve for all to see, as if to say, "Yes. My heart is broken, but at least it is still a beating heart." And that, my friends, is what poetry is all about.
One poem that I would like to address is "The Waiting Game". That feeling almost reaching your breaking point is something that everyone goes through at some point in their lives. Its the feeling of being lost without any hope of ever being found. Its the feeling of being so alone that there is no one left that seems to care. I know this feeling well, and I know that I am not the only one. This author describes this feeling so simply, yet beautifully that any comment I make just cannot do it justice. All I can say is that this poem stands out among the others. It will resonate with your soul strike you to your core in only a few simple lines.
Another noteworthy piece that I would like to highlight is "Traffic Light of Life". Alternative to the other poem I spoke of, this one is inspirational (at least to me it is). The author challenges the readers to go on adventures, travel, chase after their dreams no matter what obstacles stand in their way...including people that you hold dear. This short, but uplifting passage made me feel like I can accomplish anything! That is a remarkable feeling and I believe the author did a brilliant job of bringing that euphoria to life.
There are so many other passages that I could discuss, but I would hate to spoil what this author has spent the last few years preparing. With that being said, I highly recommend this book of poetry to anyone who has ever loved and lost, to those who have been to the darkest depths of despair, but also to those who have learned to overcome the trials that once controlled their lives. This is a must read for you, just as it was for me.

It’s hard for me to come up with words to review another person’s emotions. Because how can my words compare to theirs? How can I describe their emotions better than they can? I just want to tell you to read this book because it speaks for itself, but everyone wants to know “why.”
So here goes: Why? Because I haven’t read a book in three months and I read this whole thing last night. Why? Because it tells an honest and raw story that many of us can relate to. Why? Because it’s daring and vulnerable and I wish more people were this courageous with their feelings. Why? Because even in the darkest parts of this book there is a golden thread of hope woven through. Thank you for trusting me with your words, Ryan. They were beauty and sincerity defined. “Arterial Motives” comes out this May READ THIS BOOK 💜 -
I am a big fan of indie poetry because it feels closer to home; more personal and relatable. This collection of poems was stunning. So many of them wowed me with the writing, the feeling or both. I got lost reading it and loved the entire journey.
Something in particular I like about it is that you can see the author's growth as the book goes on, both as a writer and as a person.
The thing I appreciate most about this collection of poetry is that so many of these poems, even the ones that come from a lonely or desperate place, still have hope in them and they extend that feeling of hopefulness to the reader. -
Reading this before it was released was already exciting enough, but once I started to dive into the pieces Ryan presented throughout the book my excitement only grew. This easily became something I didn't want to put down, and resonated with me the way a good book should. I found the pieces thought provoking and caught myself reading them more than once just to soak up the words. I would recommend this as a 'to be read' for anyone going through challenging times and seeking something to balance you. I don't believe you'll regret it.

First and foremost THANK YOU Ryan for sending me a copy of your ARC!
The dedication in this book made my heartache.
I’m as always so humbled by poetry and the stories each one weaves within the short expanse of a few pages. I have no idea how to talk about this collection because it feels so personal… It’s a diary that we the reader get to take a peek into those pages and relive those very real moments.
Some of my favourite passages are:
-We are all wild inside
-There is beauty in the brokeness
-Ongoing
-Humanity
We are all wild insideis honestly my most favourite because I relate so hard to these words, I feel them so deeply like being a human is hard sometimes. You can persevere through anything, it just takes time.
Rereading these passages really made me happy to have gotten to have a piece of these words inside me.
You can feel the emotion of each poem. There were some that I couldn’t entirely relate to and that’s completely alright most of this is a reflection of thoughts. I have read very few books that have left me speechless. Miss Jones has a true talent and I highly recommend this collection of poetry no what season of life you are. If you do choose to read it, hope her words bless you as much as they blessed me.
