Minecraft: Stories from the Overworld (Graphic Novel) Reviews
-
My two devoted Minecraft fans greatly enjoyed this one at bedtime, and despite how clueless I am about Minecraft, I enjoyed these, too. It's a quick read, just six short stories that offer some unique and varied artistic and narrative takes on the game and its players, ranging from silly to dark to even... romantic? Or as romantic as a tale of "When Pillager met Witch" can be.
-
My favorite part was when the pig pushed the guy off the cliff...

Lmaoo I shouldn't be reviewing this as a useless adult but here I am. I enjoyed the mini stories like one might enjoy Lunchables :') Way past that age but they're still a fun snack and maybe it's not exactly filling and it's of varying quality, but yeaet. I have a challenge to meet and this book is a book that I have read

The pillagerxwitch story made me want to throw up ahahahaha no. -
Bit of a mixed bag. The first few short stories ended too abruptly for me and left me wondering what the story was even about, the last half of the book was more my style though. A Pig's Tale was my favourite of the bunch.

There are some good, some great, and some eh, stories in here. The pig one is my FAVORITE. Oh wait, maybe the Creepers Tale is my favorite. It's a tie. A wonderful tie. The kiddo (7) also loved those two. Highly recommend if you like graphic novels and minecraft :)

Purchased it to read with my son who is an avid Minecraft fan. Though I enjoyed the book, there were moments of sarcasm and darker themes that were uncomfortable for him and we ended up "skipping" them when we read together. Definitely suggest a pre-read to determine your kid's comfort level.

I expected silly stories with repetitive jokes.
Instead I got several wholesome stories about friendship, overcoming differences, and kindness. They were surprisingly satisfying and well-written! I would recommend this for adults as well as any kid. -
This was kinda cool and I was laughing a few of the comics. I think the pig was my favorite.
-
6 different stories. Some are better than others.
-
I liked how this book had several short stories about Minecraft. I especially enjoyed the story about the pig. ~ Lizzie :)
