Despite not having a great start in life, Seraphina never gave up hope that good fortune would smile upon her. Just when things are looking most dire for her, she is whisked off to a new life at Primrose Park, home of Lady Tempest Knox and her husband, James.

When it is time for Seraphina to be married, Lady Tempest knows there is only one person up to the task – Lady Ambrosia, Matchmaker to the Discerning.

Dr. Lucas Spencer, the most eligible bachelor in the village of Briar Glen, is shocked by the lengths to which the local ladies – and their mothers – will go to ensnare him in marriage. Looking for a proper bride to share his life, he contacts Lady Ambrosia.

Seraphina has never met a man as handsome as Lucas, and when he boldly informs her that marriage to him will include firm discipline, Seraphina’s heart melts for her stern husband.

Lucas and Seraphina are well on their way to happily ever after. But will a secret from Seraphina’s past tear them apart forever?

This is book three in the Regency Matchmaker Series but can be enjoyed as a standalone.
Publisher’s Note: This steamy historical romance contains elements of power exchange.

    JUST BE YOURSELF

The third story in the Regency Matchmaker series will once again, having a lady—and a gentleman seeking the matchmaking skills of Lady Ambrosia. She will pair Dr. Lucas Spencer and Miss Seraphina Moon—and this is their story. I will admit that I was laughing out loud many times at the antics and behavior of Seraphina.

The plot will have Seraphina rescued from the greedy clutches of Mrs. Hartpence at her brothel, where she has entered into a contract to sell Seraphina and her virginity to Lord Ross, when Colonel William St. Clair as her guardian shows up to extract her from the home after making a promise to her dying father who served under him. It will be Lady Tempest and Lady Calliope who decide to take her to Lady Ambrosia for a match. Dr. Spencer has asked for a marriage match because he is ready for a wife and to stop the matchmaking of mothers in his town of Briar Glen.

I loved the chemistry between Lucas and Seraphina. She may have been raised in a brothel, but she was sheltered and a complete innocent from the activities. Both of them agree to a domestic discipline marriage, even if it is only a fantasy to Seraphina, she knows that Lady Tempest and Lord Knox have that type of union—and look at how happy and in love they are. Even Lady Tempest had instructed her, “I hope you will find a husband someday who loves you enough to provide you with the discipline and guidance you may occasionally need.”

“I expect an obedient wife and I am not a man to spare the rod when it comes to wifely discipline. When the situation calls for it, yes. I intend to take you over my knee and punish your bottom. As we will be husband and wife, it will be upon your bare bottom. Among other punishm—“

“I would be honored to have a husband who cared enough to turn me over his knee. It would be a small bit of discomfort for such a worthy affection.”

The marriage will happy, and the lessons begin of what takes place between a husband and wife, from kissing to mild petting, and nothing like a spanking to start it off right. But what happens when Seraphina lets loose with some colorful language? That must be corrected, but afterward, it is time to consummate the marriage, and they both are ready.

“We shall wash away the old, and start fresh,” he said when he told her of his intentions. “We are a new family, this is a new day, and we shall have a new beginning. You and me together. Dr. and Mrs. Spencer.”

The story has innocence, passion, angst, mystery, suspense, danger, and romance. Once again, Lady Ambrosia has made the perfect match between Lucas and Seraphina

Quite a Terrific Historical Romance with Spanking

Yeah I think this book which is part of series in which a matchmaker plays a critical role is quite terrific. I like characters and I enjoyed the steamy spanking scenes and the other steamy parts. There is a quite nice HEA at the end. I recommend this book to everyone who likes Historical Romance with Spanking

    His Little Bride

Seraphina was saved from certain abuse at the hands of a madame and a deranged suitor. Taken under a ton family's protective arms for a few weeks, she is matched to a stranger after she creates too much havoc for the lord of the manor's liking. After all, they can't possibly spare funds to feed and clothe this chit with no pedigree.

Lucas is paired with Seraphina by a matchmaker. A doctor in a small village, he just wants the young women to stop vying for his attention. Seraphina is the breath of fresh air he needs. He provides the safety and security she has always wanted. He is firm but fair, even as he flips her over his knee when she loses control of herself. When a fiend from her past arrives on their doorstep, they will do anything to remain in each other's arms.

This was a pretty good story, though the editing could have been better and the timeline a little broader. Over half of the book is their wedding day - meet, greet, wed, bed. I like that Lucas is firm but kind with his bride, luring her close to him slowly. I like that he tried to build up Seraphina's confidence in herself, not letting the circumstances of her birth hold him back from having a life with her. The ending demonstrates just how much of a good (and naive) person Seraphina is. She's certainly better than most would be in a similar fix, me included. The punishment meted out for the crime against her was unsatisfactory, but I guess it wasn't the done thing to have ton members put in cages with the rabble.

Book three in the Regency Matchmaker series a well written story that had me smiling. Seraphina is a headstrong young woman that gets herself into so much trouble. Lady Tempest her guardian contacts Lady Ambrosia, Matchmaker to the Discerning to find a husband for Seraphina. Dr. Lucas Spencer, the most eligible bachelor in the village of Briar Glen is sought after by the mother 's of all the single young ladies he decides to find a wife after he fibs that he is getting married. These two are very happy in their marriage but then Seraphina gets kidnapped by someone from her past. A story I enjoyed reading. This just might be my favorite in the series. The connection between Seraphina and Lucas sparks from the page in their every encounter. And the intrigue that closes out the book is compelling. This story is a bit of a slower build, and that worked for the book, however I was extremely frustrated with the apparent naiveté of Seraphina. I mean, she grew up in a brothel. I find it extremely difficult to believe that she has no knowledge whatsoever of what goes on between a man and a woman. But otherwise, I enjoyed Lucas’s alpha presence and the lighthearted style of this story.
I read a borrowed copy of this book.

    So Good!

I absolutely loved this book. Seraphina is so naively adorable yet she swears like a sailor! I love that she read all the romance novels and then was trying to swoon by putting the back of her hand against her forehead, but couldn’t produce a “worthwhile swoon”.
She made me laughed and yet I felt sad for her as well, as she truly felt she was unworthy to be Lucas wife. Lucas was the perfect man for Seraphina.
Nice to see past characters and loved the chattering between Lady Tempest and Lady Calliope. *****

If you’ve read the other Regency Matchmaker books, you know the general set up and some of the characters. I happen to love that we get to peek in on the past characters (like I generally do), but you could start with this book and not be lost. As for the main characters in this book, I LOVE Seraphina (and adore her name too). She came from very poor circumstances but is so sweet and has spirit. Dr. Spencer was also very likeable and they have a loving, fun relationship. This story is sweet, but don’t worry, there are challenges to overcome.

    Great match

A good historical, romantic and steamy read. Great character development as well as great chemistry between the main characters. I'm not much into corporal punishments though, but this was just mild compared to some that I read. This is the third book in the series and I am going to read the first two, since I kinda liked the plot with this one, and we'll see what is in store with the previous two.

Seraphina did not have it easy growing up but never gave up hope her life would get better. She ends up being married to a handsome Doctor. However, he plans to discipline her as he sees fit. Sparks fly between the two but Seraphina has a secret, will it tear them apart? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama, suspense and steamy chemistry. I was hooked from beginning to end.

Having read all of the books in the Regency Matchmaker series I have to say that this is my favourite. The characters were great, the story moved along at a nice pace, & provided a nice bit of drama as well. This was an easy, enjoyable read that delivered on the emotion. Loved it
