She is young, beautiful, sassy, and she knows how to use a sword, but she's stuck on the first level of a dungeon and facing goblins, orcs, and talking beetles. The monsters are stuck in the dungeon too and they all know the only way out is to find one of Zimon's ex-girlfriends and knock her up.

Can Beatrix escape this fate? Can she take revenge on her creepy ex-boyfriend? She has a long way to go to reach the top of the dungeon! Each novella-length book in the Fertile in My Ex-Boyfriend's Dungeon series includes three interactive monster encounters. Will Beatrix attack? Will she guard? Will she try to bargain with the monsters? Or will she just offer them her body without a fight?

You decide!

Fertile in My Ex-Boyfriends Dungeon: An Interactive Adventure Level 1: Featuring Goblins, Orcs, and Beetlekin Reviews

  • Chelsea (chelseadolling reads)

Honestly this was a hoot. V excited to carry on further into the dungeon lmao

  • Lila

The most bizarre book I've ever read. And not in a good way. Interesting enough concept, but failed in execution.

  • Laurie (barksbooks)

This was SO silly. It most definitely needs a bit of the red pen and some better descriptions of ladybits and anatomy (WTF was up with some of these?!) but the bones of it were fun and weird and gross so this is not me complaining, lol.

  • Jenn (The Book Refuge)

    Fascinating. Very weird, but Fascinating.

    3.5/5 stars

  • Anastasia Rowan

What did I just read? šŸ˜‚ I have no idea. The only explanation - Tiktok made me do it. I can't give any stars. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ I dont even know what to think yet.

  • Bailey

Donā€™t know what I was thinking going into this, but it was NOT as fun as the choose your own adventure books I read when I was a kid.

  • Elena Marmiroli

Un'avventura particolare, ma che ho stranamente gradito. Decisamente diveso da qualsiasi altra cosa io abbia mai letto.

  • Tati Alvarez

I canā€™t with this šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ this was so ridiculous. Why did I read it? No clue. But like, now I have to continue on šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I question all the questionable life choices Iā€™ve made to end up reading this book, but I have to admit it was really funny.
Itā€™s like a trashy WoW fanfic, and Iā€™ve never read an interactive book before, so this was quite the experience.

But this book also remembered me, that I really suck at (video) games, so I had to try several times to not end pregnant in the ex-boyfriendā€™s dungeon. Iā€™ll definitely return for the other levels.

  • Amanda Mervine

What the heck is wrong with me? Why did I enjoy this so much that I read it completely in one day and instantly downloaded the next level/book? This is pure entertainment and sinfully good. I have no shame reading this and I absolutely need to now read all of these.
Guilty pleasure of books! I donā€™t even care, TikTok needs to blow these up now, everyone needs these.

    10/10 yes

When I was a kid I LOVED choose your own adventure books, and had stacks and stacks of them. When I saw this on TikTok, I immediately went to download it, and I honestly can't decide how I'm feeling.

The entire story could have used another round or two of editing. Not only was the character description continuity off (eye colors changing, overuse of descriptors, etc), but there were quite a few times where the point of view changed nd that got distracting.

I added a star because I can only imagine how difficult it is to write a book with so many different outcomes and have them all make sense in the end. The author built a interesting world, where humans and "monsters" live together.

I wouldn't re-read this book, but I will be reading the next installment to see how things turn out.

I was obsessed with ā€œchoose your own adventureā€ books when I was in elementary school ā€¦ who knew this would be my return to that kind of storytelling. šŸ˜… Honestly, it was a lot of fun and exactly what I expected from the title.

  • Kate Brown

This is hands down the worst book that I have read this year. Two stars instead of one for the creative format only.

  • Rachel Foster

The book definitely needed someone to edit more closely. For example, one page she has green eyes, then blue, then green again. Also, how many times are we calling them ā€œcreamy mounds?ā€ Honestly. I went with a 3 because I can only imagine the work it takes to make an interactive novel like this. Quick and easy read though.

    ā™” Choose your own adventure
    ā™” Erotic monster romance
    ā™” Novella

All three of these stars fully go toward the creativity of this book. I hadnā€™t read a choose your own adventure book since I was 10 and reading Goosebumps, so this much more mature version was actually kind of fun and offered so much entertainment.

    Itā€™sā€¦. An adventure

  • Amber

Lmao saw it on tiktok good smut read

  • Kirsten

Why did I read this? TikTok
    Concept = awesome
    Execution = mehhh

  • Neyjour

Ummmā€¦ so, despite some issues I had with this, itā€™s still one of the better erotic CYOA stories Iā€™ve read. The author actually made an effort with the ā€œstoryā€ (not something Iā€™ve encountered so far with these types of books) and I appreciated that immensely. I also enjoyed some of the dialogue for the monsters/creatures (especially the goblins). It actually made me LOL.

This would have been a 4-star read for me if not for the prolific editing/proofing issues and the horribly laughable, cringy descriptions that completely destroyed the sex scenes for me. I just couldnā€™t get into it or find it hot. It was such a turn-off. :( (Eg., dewy folds, fluttering channel, pretty pink rosebud, aching cove, creamy mounds).

The descriptions, word choices, characterizations, and basically the entire tone of the writing was very reminiscent of some erotica Iā€™ve read thatā€™s written by men. It did make me wonder if the author is a man writing under a female pseudonym, or a woman writing primarily for a het male audience. (Just an FYI, in case thatā€™s not your jam).

Not entirely sure if Iā€™ll continue with this series or notā€¦ I may try one more with monsters/creatures that are more to my liking, and see if that would possibly make the sex scenes a bit less cringy for me.

I LOVE choose your own adventure/interactive books.
Needed some silly smut & came across this gem!
Love anime tropes dungeon or not and this totally has those vibes
Its not for the faint of heart since it is monster erotica but if you were looking to dip your toes in this would be a good all rounder to check out since you choose and it has various monsters each book or level.
Plus the overarching plot of revenge against the ex bf is a fun gold at the end of the rainbow sorta deal.
Kinda reminds me of a more light funny version of desires/sins of the flesh series which is a sorta brothel with a different sin in each room that said chick has to conquer less adventure and more like dark smut in that series though.
Anyhoo its my once in a blue moon taboo/monster erotica trash romance binge atm, so regular RH and what not will be back soon.

This was such a fun read! I especially loved the interactive aspect of the book and how you can choose the adventures the main lead goes through and you can do it again and again to your heartā€™s desire!

I had too much fun with this because I went through every playthrough and tried every option. The monster erotica was written so perfectly and the characters and smut really made it much more interesting! Itā€™s best not to take the plot seriously and just enjoy the silliness and cheesines of it. I went in for the smut and not the plot so I was not disappointed!

Overall, if you love monster romance and erotica and youā€™re looking for something extra entertaining to read, then I highly recommend this!

So far, I'm having a lot of fun! Zimon traps her in his dungeon for trying to follow him. He curses her to be fertile and basically becomes horny to any monster in the dungeon. She will instantly fall in love once they do it! Zimon will release her when she mates and gets pregnant to whatever monster she actually screws...

So it's actually a quick read because I already made it out of the first level, and I did mess up a couple of times with the Orc..

But bro.. there's a beetlekin? A beetle monster which you can screw and it vibrates hahah! This book is just overall fun!

TWs~ There was SA, Pregnancy, and DubCon, and Sex magic.

    DNF at ~25%
Idk what I was expecting but it wasnā€™t this. Iā€™m usually oblivious to ways in which a book needs more editing but even to me it stood out. Lots of typos, grammar mistakes, reparative phrases, and extremely cringe dialogue and sex scenes. The sex was also too weird for me (I can enjoy romance with nonhuman love interests but not when the narrative is describing how vile and disgusting they are the whole time). Through in the fact that some of the outcomes involve dubcon/noncon, and I decided to DNF at my first ā€œloss.ā€ I love the concept of a romance chose your own adventure but the execution was a flop for me.

    2.5

I really didnā€™t like most of this. Some of the words used were just absolutely terrible. Like I could have lived forever without reading ā€œhot seamā€ ā€œdewy foldā€ or ā€œmanly goo.ā€ ā€œAching coveā€ and ā€œplucked your pretty pink rosebudā€ was also just yuck. Also why was the fact that she said no and asked him to stop with the anal just skimmed over. Like that was absolutely sexual assault. It was so over the top which made it semi entertaining but I definitely wonā€™t be continuing on.

TW: sexual assault, he literally traps her in a dungeon, magic that makes her want to have sex with the monsters which can be dubious consent

Well this was SOMETHING. I read this because I heard about it on the diktok podcast and was intrigued by the idea of a choose your own adventure erotica. However I loathe the breeding kink so I have no one to blame but myself for how disgusting I was by this. But even if you do have a breeding kink I still fail to see how you'd find this specific portrayal sexy.

I also failed level one and Beatrix got bred by goblins. I guess I'd be screwed (lol, pun intended) in her situation.

Read at your own risk. Will I continue the series? Hell who knows anymore.

  • Katelynn

I was really excited to read an adult choose your own adventure and I was disappointed in this one. There was a lot of grammar/editing errors. So many that at times it made passages difficult to read and it took away from the story. The story itself has promise but it just fell flat in a lot of aspects, Iā€™ll read the second one to see if it improves but I donā€™t think Iā€™m going to fully finish this series.

  • Abbella DiNoto

Short, very limited endings! You make a selection the story goes on for 2-4 paragraphs or perhaps 1 chapter then itā€™s kinda over. There is really only one truly correct answer for each one. Is not like the make your own choice books I remember, they had More than a couple pages per selection. It was ok. Not my favorite but not the worse book Iā€™ve read., not by a long shot. Reminds me of anime comics read 3books in less than 1 hour. Super short

  • DJay

Woot! Made it through the first floor without getting knocked up once! Hell yeah! BTW, let's not act like I'm the only person who cheats when doing a CYOA story. I know DAMN well that back in the day a lot of you either used post it notes, or were lazy af like me and used your fingers until you HAD to use post it notes to get the best story out of the book. I'm off to book two now.
