Sgt. Betty Bruce of the RCMP, has some clues to the "foot in sneaker" finds over the past several years after checking a novel reading more clues in plain sight. She just didn't look into the sources. Those same clues are still sending niggling feelings down her spine as she continues to silently investigate the death of three friends. She is trying to adjust to the ugly rumors about her father and some of his dearest loved friends. Drug-sniffing dog in pet whisperer rehab, a cow that won't eat after the shock of being tazered, and flower child raising game birds and herbs with her husband drinking tainted moonshine. Well, Betty has her hands full because through it all romp Gertrude, the pot-bellied pig and her best friend, Peaches, the jersey cow. Touchy tickling fun through the pages as this merry group of characters live their normal lives on a small Canadian island.

I gave the book 4 stars. I enjoyed this book. But I didn't think the answers to all the mysteries was answered. Fun read with the pig and the cow adventures. Enjoy this funny book. -

Intriguing plots. The only thing I don’t like is the nonendings. I want a book to be wrapped up by the end. The story within the story was fun.
