The Second Chance Patriot (Georgia Patriots Romance) Reviews

Second chances are the best, especially when they come in the form of love. This one takes a little twist, as Danielle wasn't involved directly with Zach in the past, but their paths have now intertwined.
There is a lot of inner turmoil with this story, as Danielle has a big secret that she doesn't want exposed. She resists Zach's efforts at friendship, help, and more at every turn, which is understandable, yet frustrating. There are a few gaps here and there, but the epilogue ties it all up nicely.
I did enjoy seeing how things unfolded, especially regarding the secret, and the true character of Zach is manifested throughout. He has every reason to be conceited, but he's not and that's what really makes him likable. He's selfless and kind, and it's not a show.
These are fun characters and if you love new beginnings and sports, you'll love this one.
Content: mild romance

I loved this second chance story! This is a trope that is one of my favorites and I could read over and over again.
Anne-Marie Meyer did a great job with these characters and their history together. Without spoiling anything...Danielle has been assigned to do a story on Zach, she's not sure how it will work out because of the history between them and family members.
And when I saw history between them, it's complicated. There is hurt and loss and sorrow and a couple secrets. Danielle doesn't know if she can allow Zach to become a part of her life again. She's torn. Doing an in-depth interview with Zach will be great for her work but the personal implications are making it a tough decision.
Can I just say that I laughed out loud so many times while reading this. The scene where her faucet is having issues and the mixup with the landlord's message. Hahahahaha! Yes, I laughed hard at that one. You'll have to read it to understand. But just know that there were several such moments.
The chemistry between Danielle and Zach was sizzling. These two work so well together, if only they could figure out life and really make it all work together.
All you fans who love football stories with clean romance, humor and fun characters, this is one I'd recommend reading. I haven't read the other books in the series but I've heard good things about them as well.
Content: Clean. Some kissing, no sex or language.
I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
Happy Reading!!! -
Talk about a complicated past in a second chance romance. A single mother with a secret. A big shot football player. I'm not much for sports romances often, but this one was worth the read.
Ms. Meyer gets you invested in the characters early and doesn't let you go. Be prepared to enjoy a sweet read of emotional depth, twists, and satisfying kisses.
No football background necessary. The real action is off the field. -
This is a sweet and clean second chance romance with a football player.
Zach Stedman played offensive lineman for the Georgia Patriots and had made quite a name for himself. He had plenty of women throwing themselves at him on a regular basis, but there was only ever one woman for him but she had been his brother's girlfriend, Danielle. Unfortunately, when Isaac died, Danielle left, too, but not before Zach had kissed her and she had kissed him back. No other woman could take the place in his heart that had been left by Danielle when she disappeared.
Danielle was a sports reporter and was assigned Zach Stedman to complete an expose' on. He was the last person in the world that she wanted to see. She had a secret that she had been keeping from Zach and his family after Isaac's death and she couldn't let him get to close. It could destroy everything she had worked so hard to achieve in the past eight years. But, there had been something between she and Zach the last time they had seen each other. Was it possible that there could be a chance for them? Would she be willing to take the risk?
I enjoyed this book because it was a quick read with a happy ending. There was no foul language or sex, just a sweet second chance romance. I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest opinion. -
This story had a lot of potential, but I don't feel like it made it. I enjoyed the story of Zach and Danielle and they are sweet together, but I felt the story jumped around a lot, didn't have smooth transitions and left a lot of questions unanswered. I don't know if it was a length requirement that caused this or what, but I feel like this story needed to be longer, it needed smoother transitions and I personally needed more info about Isaac and his parents relationship with Danielle. That was supposed to be the big conflict of this story, but we never find out why. I gave it 4* because it is a sweet clean romance that I'm sure others will love, but I needed more.

Absolutely loved Zach and Danielle ‘s love story . The book has romance , secrets , and so much more . I could not put the book down ! I bought it today , and then I shut out the rest of the world . Georgia was on my mind that is for sure . The chemistry between Zach and Danielle is present through out the book so do not let a clean romance make you think it is not . The writing was very smooth and it made me want to keep reading . I am now one of your number one fans . Can’t wait to read more books from this amazing author .

A sweet second chances romance, Zach and Danielle's story does keep one guessing as to how Danielle's secret will eventually come out. As much as Zach will do what it takes to win her over, Danielle is reluctant about becoming involved with him. There were a few gaps in the story and I felt that it did fizzle out a bit at the end, although the main points were covered in the epilogue, which in turn leads into the next book in the series. Nevertheless, this is a standalone and comes to a sweet ending. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This is a second chance story to see if Zach can finally win the love of Danielle. Danielle was engaged to Zach’s brother and then Isaac died in an accident. After Isaac’s death, Zach kisses Dani and she runs. It’s now eight years later. Dani has been assigned to do an expose’ on Zach. Dani can’t get too close to Zach because she’s kept a secret from his family and him. I really enjoyed this fast read and I can’t to read Jonathan Braxton’s story, the best friend of Zach.

This second chance story was well worth the read with the well written storyline and characters that were so well developed that grabbed my attention from the very beginning! However, it was the interaction and chemistry between Zach and Danielle that kept me totally captivated until the very end! I was so invested in this story that I ended up reading it in one sitting!

I really enjoyed this second-chance romance. I received this for free and I voluntarily chose to review it. I've given it a 4.5*. The heroine, a reporter, has a secret, that she has kept for 8 years. Her angst is because she can't bear to reveal it until it's taken out of her hands. This was a fast reading, short story.

Cute story. I liked the way the main characters got together.

I really loved this story. Zach and Danielle had an "interesting" past, and an explosive chemistry. Danielle was keeping a huge secret from Zach, and she was so worried it would ruin any possibility of them as a couple. I really enjoyed how strong Zach was when he knew that Danielle was "it" for him. I highly recommend this book.

Zack is on the winning side of the football team when he meets a blast from the last. His brothers girlfriend, although his brother passed away she is here where he plays but she is holding secrets. Danielle is back to do a job but with her heart etc in turmoil it may be more difficult than she thought. Will Danielle give up her secrets and tell Zach? Will they realise they are meant to be together? A great story that kept me on the edge of my seat. Great characters.

Great read!
This was a super cute love story, friends who held feeling s for each other. This story is bit taboo bc the heroine was engaged to his brother, whom passed away. Years later they are back in each others lives. Will they finally get there HEA? -
Forgiven Love
This is a refreshing and forgiving love story with adorable and heartwarming characters that will steal your heart and touch your soul. -
Good Characters and good story line it just lost me half of the way. I hate giving it a 3 so it's a 3.5 STARS. It's a sweet read.
