Harlan turned his back on the siren world a long time ago.

Resigned to living an ordinary life, Harlan settles in the human world. And then his new assistant arrives. Smart, efficient, gorgeous… and a werewolf. Keeping Sam on is a risk Harlan can’t take. If he discovers what Harlan is, they’ll be in for a world of trouble.

Sam always wanted a knight in shining armor but he has a secret that can’t be told.

As an omega, Sam learned long ago not to draw attention to himself, but even that doesn’t save him when he catches the eye of the Alpha Prime. Knowing he has to keep the truth about his origins secret, he runs from the mating his pack has planned for him. He enjoys the chance to finally be himself, especially when that means flirting with his handsome boss, Harlan. Until his pack tracks him down, with deadly consequences.

Harlan’s armor does shine… but only when wet.

Harlan knows he should leave the business of wolves to the wolves but he can’t stand by and watch them drag Sam away. But now that Sam knows he isn’t human, Harlan has only one option: to bring Sam home, to the Cove.

The truth will bring them together.

Sam finds himself thrown into a new pack, his secret on the verge of being discovered. If they figure out the truth, he’s certain they’ll kill him. But then, these aren’t ordinary wolves and the Cove is no ordinary place. And Harlan, well, Sam just can’t take his eyes off him.

Hidden is a novel-length read, featuring office flirting, a secretive wolf, a stubborn siren, mpreg, and scenes not suitable for readers under the age of eighteen.

    Another enjoyable edition to
Claire Cullen’s fascinating world of sirens and werewolves. ❤️ I loved the first book and I loved this second one too. I really liked Harlan from the first book so it was nice to see him get finally settle down with a proper omega and the cove is definitely getting much more homey and crowded. 😌 I really enjoyed this book and will be waiting impatiently for next book in the series. 😁 Plus, half-breed babies are wayyyyyy cuter! 😉

I quite enjoyed this book even though Harlan was a jerk at the beginning. It must have been fate that brought Sam to Harlan since they both need each other desperately.
We get to learn more about Sirens...on to the next adventure

    Loved it!! 3.5 Stars!!

I’m not sure why I’m loving this series. Maybe it’s because the books are a quick and easy read. Maybe it’s because I love the idea of sirens and werewolves hooking up. Maybe it’s because I love the idea of wolf-siren babies.

This one had a bit more action than the first. We got to see Harlan, the city siren, meet his mate and I liked that he grew as a character. Same with Sam—the wolf. Cullen put a bit more into character development in this one.

Still, there’s not a whole lot of depth, nor heat to these stories, but for some reason, I totally dig them!

I can’t wait for the next book to come out!

'When can I read the next book?' That's the reaction I had after reading the book!
It is full of suspense as the sirens and wolf world is discovered.

The siren and half wolf meet at workplace and when trouble follows Sam (wolf), the Siren decides to take Sam to Cove, his birthplace. They slowly explore the dynamics in the new pack and their relationship.
I don't like the submissive roles of omega among supers and but here Siren 'omega' are feisty and headstrong. Full Siren 'alpha' is super strong being and their ability is finally seen it this book.

Not really sure what’s up with me and the mermen these days... it seems like that’s just how the dice are rolling at the moment...

Anywho, me and this author don’t get along all the time. There were times I have enjoyed her books a lot, like the first one in this series. And there were times I’ve absolutely hated her books, such as the first in another series of hers. I would say this was a decent medium between the two.

Where the book was readable and had a decent plot line, it was also a little flat and lacked a lot of emotion.

Harlan was the hardest for me in this story. He’s told to be all things, alpha, strong, smart, a protector.... blah blah blah... he was so flat and depthless to me I couldn’t stand it.

So far I am the minority’s though so please do read it for yourself. I am also pretty flat and depthless so it could just be me rubbing off on my reading.

Liked it more than the first one, Harlan made for a very yummy hero :) The opening was great with the banter, the unwanted attraction, the hint of danger but then it took a nosedive just like the first book, as soon as the MCs admitted their attraction to each other. I was very sad to see it, because those two were so great together in the beginning, but then Noah -the MC from the first book- took too much page time, Harlan put the breaks for no reason, and in general, many things happened that took the focus away from the main couple and cooled down things considerably.

I want to read more in this universe, but I'm tired of getting disappointed as soon as the MCs get together :( While the author is great at describing the tension and initial attraction, she doesn't seem to know what to do with it once the MCs admit to their feelings. Taking a break for now.

It's about Jonah's older brother, Harlan, who left for the city and is still uncertain about his little brother's wolf connection. So it's just right that he's falling for a wolf - or so he believes. Sam is an omega on the run and trying to make is own life instead being pushed into the bed of the Uber-alpha. Of course his past is coming for him and Harlan isn't able to resist saving him which eventually means to move Sam from the city to the Cove and Nate's pack.

I enjoyed Harlan and Sam's flirting and Harlan's resistance to what's inevitablitable. Like

She's also right that although there is not much depth or heat, the series gets me into a flow, but this time the pregnancy part felt too long and unfortunately the labor is not off-page. There's also my confusion about the mating - just some spur-of-the-moment vow during sex? Doesn't seem right for the holy grail of shifter-dom.

If it wasn't for the pre-mating part of the book I'd be tempted to rate it 2.5 stars.

Alright now this is the second Claire Cullen's book I have read and I don't know if it's this series or her writing style but this story fizzled out for me. I was pretty excited and intrigued, both by Harlan and by the ongoing issues surround the Alpha Prime, but this book followed a similar path of the first book. The romance was lukewarm at best and there weren't really any new developments with the Alpha Prime drama.

The romance between Harlan and Sam didn't work for me at all. Sam was running hot and cold throughout the whole story. Were these two instantly attracted to each other, yes. But once Harlan saves Sam, everything about their relationship burns out for me. The charming, flirty banter dies and in its place is Sam having an identity crisis and Harlan being a hard-*ss. They had so much potential but much like the first book, they lacked any depth or substance. Their relationship was very one dimensional and while they did have a few cute moments, they were all washed away as soon as Sam decided to go icy again or Harlan decided to go into alpha mode.

In terms of the plot, yes there are a few dangers but overall, there was really no development in terms of what was going on with the Alpha Prime. Other than the Alpha Prime now recognizing that he can't defeat these 'other' shifters, there are really no new developments. Sam brings forth information that other sirens exist, but we already knew that...there was no way that Jonah, Theo, and Harlan were the last three in the world.

Moral of the story is I need more substance and emotions to my story. So I don't think I will be continuing on with the next three books because there just doesn't seem to be enough plot lines surrounding the Alpha Prime to carry out three more full-length novels but also I just can't read these bland couples anymore.

I'm really loving this series, and I think I enjoyed this book even more than the first one. We have wolf shifters and pack politics, mixed with sirens - AKA mermen!, trying to find more shifters out there, and some lovely romance throughout.

Harlan is a siren, and he's also Jonah's brother and one of the two that left their father's home to make their own way in life and turn away from their siren nature. Sam, an omega half-wolf/half-siren, is on the run from his pack when they offered him up to the Alpha Prime. They meet when Sam goes to work for Harlan. Secrets are uncovered Harlan decides the safest and best place for them to hide out is with his brother and his mate's pack in their forbidden territory.

At first Sam is super weary of this new pack and he worries that he's gone from one bad situation to another. However, when everyone finds out his true nature, he begins to find acceptance from everyone since he is part wolf and part siren. He also reveals to Harlan and Jonah that there are definitely more sirens out there.

I love the overall story of the wolves dealing with the Alpha Prime and then the sirens wanting to find more of their kind. A new wolf was brought into the pack - Daniel, I think, and I wonder if he might be the mate for the third siren brother, Theo? I enjoyed the romance between Harlan and Sam, and enjoyed the way the mpreg was handled much more in this story than the first!

Also? Claire Cullen always has the BEST book covers! Can't wait for the third book!

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

I’m really loving this series. The books are fairly short so we definitely don’t get a whole lot of detail or world building but I love what we do get. The overall story arc is still not resolved so I believe we will get at least a 3rd installment with the last brother. I’m interested to see who his mate will be and if the story will be resolved within a trilogy. Looking forward to it and absolutely looking forward to reading more from Claire Cullen.

    Re-Read

I remembered most of the book and yet I enjoyed it as much as the first time. Harlan at first is hard to like, he's crude towards wolves and it's hard to understand his need of running away from his roots.

But then Sam comes around and the icy man starts to melt. Is interesting discovering more about Sirens and you can't wait for them to crush the Alpha Prime.

    A must read series, definitely.

    First read

It's official: I'm in love with this series.

I was so looking forward to Harlan's story, and it didn't dissapoint me. As I was expecting, his and his brother's stories are completely different, giving both books different vibes. And that's something I appreciate when reading a series, especially if I decide to read its books without stopping between one and the next.

I was intrigued by who would be Harlan's mate, and it end up being a completely new character, an omega from another pack who, after being offered as a present to the Alpha Prime, decides to runaway. He ends in the city where Harlan's company is, and starts working for him, getting him entangled in his mess.

Around the end of the story I started thinking that maybe this one wasn't up to the first one. The action came faster and I got the feeling that the book was shorter... But then I realized that I was only in the middle and there was another half to look forward to. And no, it's not shorter nor the story feels rushed. Just differently paced.

As in the first one, here we find more than the classical structure of: getting in love, settling the romance and then danger coming and action exploding. Claire breaks this structure, mixing the phases and making it feel more real. Because in real life, when you have problems and someone is chasing after you, they don't wait until every other thing in your life is settled to attack.

Also, I loved getting to know more about sirens. With the reveals of the first book about the sickness that killed many of them, I thought the story would center more in wolves, but was pleasantly surprised. Not only Sam is more related to sirens than we could expect in the beginning, but there are also hints and hopes of there being more of them out there in the sea. And I can't wait to meet more of this characters.

In short, if you are looking for an interest worldbuilding series with interesting creatures and stories full of action and romance, then you must try these books. Don't wait, just go for it.

    Tough read...

    spoiler ahead:

I felt no loving connection between Harlan and Sam except the physical one. I would have prefered that Sam couldnt turn into a complete siren at the end. Then i would have believed Harlan was truly in love with Sam no matter his heritage. But like that... and how happy Harlan was to NOW have his dreammate. Like he wouldnt want him as much if he couldnt change. Bah. Was kinda sad for Sam. He tried and tried and tried and even got himself in Danger before he could change fully because he felt he had disappointed Harlan. Yeah, that MUST be TRUE love. Yikes.

This book didnt give me a good feeling in the end like book 1 where you felt the love and devotion. Depressing

Now why in the world was this so rushed and weird, everyone treated the main character like they had no autonomy, very strange.

    Hiding to be free

An enticing second book as it becomes clear to the residents of the Cove that there may be more Sirens out there than initially thought.

Harlan has returned to his job in the city after the events of the first book. His newest assistant is a temp from a local agency and turns out to be a wolf. Sam is on the run from his pack after being promised to the Alpha Prime. When trouble comes knocking Harlan finds himself drawn to protect Sam and the two of them head to the Cove.

Harlan is going through changes as he once again has a shift of the worldview he had growing up. Not only does he find that Sam, a wolf, is someone he wants to be around, but he isn't bothered by going back to the Cove. His life has been about searching for something he thought he could never find and when it sneaks up on him it makes Harlan much more happy than he ever realized, even as it throws his life into a bit more chaos.

Sam had lived his life hiding within his own pack. Needing to learn how to be an omega, as the instincts of his station didn't come naturally, he has kept his head down and done work the pack would see as worthy that kept him out of view. The promise of mating to the Alpha Prie has him running which is more freeing than ever. Without the constraints of a pack Sam is independent and strong, willing to make his own decisions and stick up for himself. Meeting Harlan and then the other residents of the Cove brings back the need to hide submissively, but the taste of freedom he had my come knocking again.

A great book that promises more stories from the Sirens in the Cove!

  • Sunshine'sShop

As I have come to like and expect, Claire Cullen whisked us away with this strangers to lovers omegaverse book into her own well thought out and interesting world of Sirens and werewolves, with Sam and Harlan, A stoic alpha and an Omega whose bite is just as strong as his bark.

Spoilers for those that haven't read the book yet.

I love how Ms. Cullen has hinted at Sam being a hybrid through the book, how she has used little things, but most of all how she also showed us from his own point of view how much he dreaded being found out, but how he bloomed in being a siren and how he loves to "bark" back, to not let others walk all over him. Of course the curve of suspense sank a little, as it tends to do in some of her books, once Harlan and Sam decided to really get with one another, but in my opinion the sex scenes and the tender caring things do not take away from how much I like the book. The scene between Harlan and Magnar was also interesting, I am eager to see how it all will develop.

I recommend this book as always, and I hope to see a choir of sirens put Magnar on his ass in the near future.

While I enjoyed this one, I couldn't help but feel like most of my enjoyment came from the establishment of the wider world, the way the system of shifters and sirens works and the hint at things unknown out in the wild. The premise was sound enough but there wasn't really anything that made this book stand out for me. It read like a dozen other books I've read before and there wasn't that one thing that made it stand out. Harlan and Sam worked better for me in their office setting than they did at the Cove because it was a different dynamic away from the pack and Jonah and I think that might have served this book better. Once they were at the Cove things fell into a similar patter to the first book and that had me knocking off a star.

Still, worth a read and a look at the next instalment.

  • Sarita Chapdelaine

This is a great addition to the Siren Cove series and I really enjoyed it. I love the mix of wolf shifters and sirens and the world building is excellent. Harlan and Sam are great together and have an amazing connection. I am happy that Harlan has changed his mind about wolf shifters as he was adamantly opposed to them in the first book. Sam has a surprising secret and after he flees from his pack he has to learn to trust Harlan and the new pack he introduces him to. There is danger, mystery, a beautiful love story, sweet babies and incredible characters in this entertaining story. I can't wait to read the next book in this exciting series.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

    It’s official!

It’s official, this is my favorite Claire Cullen series to date. I love the different shifter type - Sirens. The author is solidly building a fascinating world where Sirens and wolf shifters not only co-exist, but mate and thrive. Sam and Harlan had some friction at first, but it was fairly short lived and the fun begins. Sam is adorably cheeky, quirky and kind hearted. In other words, a recipe for disaster. Harlan is quickly under his spell. I enjoyed seeing Jonah and the others from the first book. I love when the previous characters are still active in the series, and the author skillfully creates the perfect balance and doesn’t over do it. This is a really enjoyable book that needs to be read in order. It’s really worth the money.

    ANOTHER INCREDIBLE STORY

SIREN COVE is my new shifter fascination. This series is absolutely AMAZING. Harlan and Sam were both refreshing. Because of both of their nature, they aren't the stereotypical pair. I find this series to be fun, engaging and fascinating. I love when an author can take me to a new and exciting place. I love the way Claire Cullen develops the characters and doesn't take you down the rabbit hole of the past. There is enough here that missing BOOK #1 wouldn't matter. It can be a standalone. But BOOK #1, FORBIDDEN was FANTASTIC!! This is an EXTRAORDINARY and EXCITING place. If you love shifter stories, this is a beautiful breath of fresh air. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS AMAZING SERIES!!!!!

  • Sabrina

These are great books to pass the time. They are not WOW 5+ stars in my opinion but they aren’t that bad either. I’ve read worse (sadly).

It was very similar to the 1st one and that’s not good. The trope of “omega gets in trouble even after explicitly being told not to do the thing, they went and did it anyways putting themselves and everybody else in danger, alpha saves them, there is some guilt and forgiveness, sex ensues, omega is pregnant, omega gives birth and they live happily ever after”. Very similar to the first book. If the 3rd book does the same thing, I don’t think I’ll read more.

I was so excited to get to read about Harlan’s story and I really did like Sam but he was so stubborn at times.

His bratty nature was at times cute then annoying. But Harlan liked him that way so I guess it doesn’t matter. Sam was pretty lovable albeit stubborn but I wish he had thought his big plan out more before doing what he did in the middle of the book.

If not for Harlan, he could have seriously been hurt or worse. Not to mention he endangered himself and everyone else. Happy it works out but Jesus, I was super worried.

Not very smart but his lone wolf behavior does get better and I’m happy he found the family he needed. Super happy for Harlan too.

    On to the next !

  • Kaitlin

Again pretty good but not great

I like claire cullens work fine but it doesnt push any boundaries.
I would say this book was a little more underwhelming for the typical character doing something stupid because fictional characters dont talk things out like regular people. Yeah it heightens drama but boy can it cast a character in a bad light. Especially when they are portrayed as really smart people like here.
Again its not bad i just believe it could have pushed some boundaries and been better if it hadn't relied on cliche troopes.

  • S.R. Harris

    I really like this series.

This book focuses on Harlan, Jonah's older brother and Siren Alpha. Harlan turned his back on the Siren world and was living his life as a human when Sam, an omega wolf crosses his path.

Because of the trouble that the two of them come across with Alpha Prime (same villain from the first book), Harlan takes Sam back to the cove, which brings back the lovable characters from the first book.

I love that the plot line from book one seems to be expanding over the entire series.

I look forward to seeing where this series goes.

  • Kathryn Manzella

Hidden is the second book from Siren Cove by Claire Cullen. I really enjoy the Siren angle of this series... I havent read a lot on Sirens in mpregs so it's pretty interesting. Harlan and Sam are great characters, as are the supporting cast of characters. The story is entertaining and unique. It has a bit drama to add spice but is sweet too. Definitely satisfying to read.

I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Second verse, as good as the first.

I enjoyed this second entry in the siren Cove series at least as much as I did the first. The antagonist is really starting to annoy me, and I can’t wait till he gets his comeuppance, hopefully in book 3. And the mystery of where all the sirens went is nagging at me as well! But the core of this book is the romance, and it was sweet to watch. Can’t wait for the sequel!
