What is Caitlin to think when she stumbles upon a naked girl in the woods? Certainly not that she might be a century old werewolf...

There were once wolves in the Highlands. Everybody knows that. There aren't anymore. Everyone knows that too. They were hunted down, trapped, shot, one by one until none remained. Extinct, a whole native species purely for behaving like animals. That's what people know. The truth is another matter. There are no wolves left in Scotland because they chose to become people instead. Landowners, farmers, soldiers, mothers, sons, husbands, and daughters. Werewolves. A whole species hiding in plain sight until one night, one human - one wolf - decided to stop hiding. Her name was Sarah MacQueen, when she had one.

Over a century after the last recorded sighting of a wolf, Caitlin Alder, a seemingly normal eighteen-year-old English girl unknowingly finds herself falling in love with one. Can she survive battling a new country, a new home and a whole new world all at the same time?

    Interesting, left me wanting more

I enjoyed this book. The characters were very engaging and easy to connect with. I only wish there had been more of an explanation on the werewolf folklore there were a few abilities that I wasn't familiar with. It is book 1 of a series so I imagine the next book will answer some of those questions. Can't wait for book 2.

Pretty good read. It sucked you in from the start and made you want to know more about Sarah. The Chemistry between Sarah & Caitlin is hot and left you wanting more. Good quick read.

It's a very engaging story, with great character interaction and I definitely didn't see the tiny twist at the end, so it's worth the read.

I can't make my mind up about this book. Is it an ABO shifter FF fic? Yup. Is it predictable and sprinkled with steamy scenes? Yup. Did I enjoy the story? I don't know. It did remind me of young love- everything is fast and loose. It's a bit slapdash. Some mystery, some loving, some shifting, some bleeding, well, lots of bleeding, but I think it's enjoyable because it's over before you know what's going on? The girls are witty in their dialogue, the plot is a bit everywhere, but I am going to read the next one so.... maybe I'll know by book 2 what's going on in my head.

DNF at 37% I tried to push through, but I had to call it. It started out interesting, but quickly became stagnant and very boring. There's zero chemistry here. No depth in this plot. This book also needs edited. There was a scene where Caitlin was looking out her window and it was written as Sarah and then changed back to Caitlin.

This was an entertaining, yet quick read. The characters were enjoyable, and it was easy to fall into the plot. I found Sarah's backstory particularly interesting. My main complaint is that it felt like it could use a bit more of a conclusion—it seemed to end fairly abruptly, particularly after dropping some significant information relating to the characters.
