My best friend was just trying to protect his little sister and I respected that.
She was the love of my life but I had to let her go for her own good.
Everyone knows my family’s reputation.
I come from crime and people don’t let me forget it.
She saw the good in me when it wasn’t easy.
Even after all these years I would do anything for her.
Looking at her so broken and in need.
I can’t turn her away.
It doesn’t matter how dangerous it gets.
Her brother is gone but she can always count on me.
I let her go once and even if she is with him, her place is with me.
I wont stop until she is home where she belongs.

Powerful Love is a super steamy stand-alone second chance full-length novel with no cheating and HEA. Not appropriate for readers under 18.

    Say What??!!

Talk about action....This book had tons of it. Even though this is the first book in this series that I've read, it was very interesting. The drama was believable and fast paced. Some typo's were present. I might read the other books in this series

I really liked this book. It had lots of action and adventure and sexy moments between Tony and Cara. I think the chemistry was pretty damn good between them and I liked all the interaction between Tony and his brothers. I liked it so much so that I continued to read into Power Players Book 5 because Tony's brother Val seems even more intriguing than Tony lol I actually started this series on Book 4 (this one) and it's my first book by this author and you don't need to start at the beginning, but I'll probably go back and read the previous three books in the series now. So clearly, I'm enjoying her work. Great writer and this is a decent series! I like the De Serra brothers!

Sorry, but could not get over or forgive the premise of the main characters getting back together over her brother’s murder. It cheapens the characters characters for me from the very beginning. So it was just an ok read but could-have-gone-without story for me. But for readers who aren’t bothered by that the tension between the leads and all of their history carries the story forward fairly well so it might be the book for you.—also I loath first person narratives lol so that was also a hurdle for me; just want to be honest.

    Anthony and Cara

I love this series, love the De Serra brothers! And I really enjoyed hearing about the others. So what happened to the family Sunday dinners at the uncle's house? (The dinners were in the first two books)
The only thing that keeps me from given it 5 stars is the epilogue. I want an conclusion to the couple, a further look into their life together, not a sneak pick into the next story.

Got to love them De Serra men! Tony has quickly become a favorite and I have to say Cara was perfect for him. Lots of action and romance with some fun dialogue between characters and De Serra reunion. One really can't ask for more. Outstanding story with some susense thrown in for good measure. Well done. Enjoy!

    Powerful Love

On a hunt to find her brother’s killer, Cara seeks out help from her ex who happens to be her brother’s old best friend. Antonio having many resources to help Cara. This story takes you on a journey at second chances at love. I enjoyed this book and going back to read the other books in this series.

    Absolutely Fantastic

I really enjoyed reading The Power Players series. The brother's are captivating, exciting and most every woman dream. This story is full of romance, drama, passion and captivating characters. It will keep you turning page after page of this exciting heartwarming story. I'm so excited to read another great addition to the series.

    Intense

I realized I read this out of order. If I read a series I like to start with first one. Now I will back track. Love that these two had a history that was thwir own. Sad about how they reconnected. The twist of who murdered her brother and his best friend is something that tied them together forever. Liked that the ending wasn't overly predictable.

OMG!! Out of all of the De Serra Brothers, I think that Antonio is my favorite!! The way he speaks to Cara and pushes her past her limits and the no-nonsense behavior he oozes at his position at work makes him my favorite!! Believe me when I say that once you get to this chapter in the series you will certainly not be disappointed!!

I have decided not to finish this book. At the outset there were a number of editing issues. Based on my past reading experiences, the problem typically does not improve as the book progresses. Additionally, I really didn’t connect to either MC, even though it was early in the book. I simply want to move on to a book I think I’ll enjoy and one that is not rife with editing issues.

Antonio and Cara kept me glued to this intriguing story that is filled with drama and suspense. Cara is seeking justice for the murder of her brother and help to stop a stalker that is after her. Will Antonio be able to keep her safe from her stalker and get justice for the death of her brother? This story had me in Cara's corner cheering her on to get what she was after!

arc review For honest review this story is about Antonio DeSerra the DEA and family member of the DeSerra crime family . When cara young comes to him about her brother jerome's murder old feelings bloom for them and he'll do anything to protect her. Awesome story

    Powerful love.

I love those De serra men. Antonio towing as keeping the law by day and breaking it(some what) by night. Cara, called him for help and she got a more than help. Can't wait for Val's story.

    Love romantic thrillers!

Tony is a bad boy who definitely has it bad for his woman. Cara, a damsel, who even in distress is ready to fight her way out of it. Read it, you’ll love it!

    Very Entertaining

A quick fun read for a relaxing and self pampering moment. I have only read this one book of the series, so I think that I might just have to go back and read the other books too.
