At 26, Declan Andrews is settled in his life. He’s been a Navy SEAL for seven years, rapidly climbing the ranks and doing everything he can to put as much space between him and his childhood. Being locked tightly in the closet is wearing him down, and seeing his best friend shamelessly flirting with a guy in a bar one night snaps something inside of him.
Will staying in the closet end up pushing Declan’s best friend, and the man he’s loved for most of his life, away for good? Will Ty’s sexy secret be too much for Declan to handle? Or will an on-the-job accident stop everything before it starts?
*Coming Home is an approximately 72k word, best friends-to-lovers, demisexual romance novel, with a sassy man in lingerie and an HEA. While Coming Home is the second book in the Finding Home Series, it can be read as a standalone novel*

This was sexy and mildly angsty read. Two childhood friends in love with each other finally find courage to speak up and explore their feelings. I liked both MCs and all the side characters. There was a bit of Colt and Derek in here, and it was so fun watching them interact. I loved Ty's lacy concoctions, and how growly Declan became after seeing him in them. While Ty was always open about who he loved, Declan was confused because of how much mental damage his own family managed to inflict. But the Scott family took him under their wing, and I think that unconditional love was what helped him to accept this new part of himself albeit slightly later that he should have. But once he did, he never looked back and made sure Ty knew how loved he was.
I loved their interactions - they were tender and romantic but always playful. Both men always had fun with each other and their mutual friends. I loved how Scott family rallied around Ty when Declan got hurt on the job. Declan finally felt like part of their family. I got misty-eyed when it hit him that everyone was there for him. I just wish he'd gotten some closure with his own family. They had a lot to answer for. But as they say if wishes were horses, beggars would ride. So they stayed far away and miserable for not being in Declan's life. Wonderfully written well-paced passionate romance, and I loved it! I recommend it! -
I enjoyed this more than I anticipated!
What I loved? A tight plot, with a storyline and relationship that flowed beautifully. It just felt natural - like they were meant to be. They each had found their person, and once they realised, it was uncomplicated. Found family was also hugely important. Medium angst in the last quarter that really hit me, and their happy ending in the epilogue was perfect. Great that there was no relationship drama.
What could have been better?
I’m not a fan of reading age play, but that’s just me.. -
Ty and Declan
Oh my, this was such a great read. Two best friends, way back to kindergarten, living together.
One is a med one a SEAL, one out and one not. When they finally are honest about their feelings it is on, and when I say on I mean ON.
It’s all so natural, sweet and funny. We get to know some delicious facts!!
“he looked at me like I was rainbow-sprinkle-covered ice cream and he hadn’t eaten in weeks.”
This was more than a wonderful written story, it had the spotlight just on the right things. I love it when there is no unnecessary time spent on things that don’t really matter.
The story is all about Ty and Declan, about their friendship and love and how they explore each other thoroughly, with a lot of steamy sweetness, it’s about Declan work as a SEAL, the danger involved and how it can go wrong, it’s about their circle of friends, family and colleagues.
The way of writing was awesome done, with smoothly flowing sentences.
This read is pleasurable friendly, lovely emotional and endearing, it was so vividly written it made my eyes blurred and my heart swelled several times while reading.
I’m so gonna read the next and the other books from this series!! I have to know more about the other amazing personalities!! -
I enjoyed Ty and Declan's story. I think it was easy to tell these two would end up together if you read At Home. These two are really perfect for each other.
Ty comes from a very loving and accepting family. Declan comes from a typical religious family that condemns homosexuality. They are just awful to him. My heart broke for him. But he had Ty's family and they accepted him with open arms.
Once Ty came out as gay, he is very open about it. Declan is just recently realizing he's gay based on some things that happen. But he's all in.
There is very low angst in this book, which was nice. I love how the family all comes together to support Ty and Declan when something happens to Declan while he is out on a mission.
I can't wait to continue the series to see where Jasper fits into all of this. -
5 stars…
I loooove a friends to lovers and this was really enjoyable. They got together pretty early on and I liked that Ty and Declan weren’t with anyone else or anything weird. I really enjoyed them being roommates which is always fun too and this book was not nearly as kinky as a lot of the ones in this universe/by this author.
I kinda hate the word panties, it feels like a word only kids and old men use but it didn’t bother me enough to DNF the book or anything.
Also I really wish I could read the next book in the series because Japsers story sounds great but I truely don’t enjoy reading about poly relationships (no hate) so I’ll be skipping that one and moving on to the rest in this authors collection.
3/5 on spice. 1/5 on kink. 1/5 on tears. If you think lace on a man is that kinky we are not on the same scales around here lol. -
I liked this, but it was almost ruined with the over sharing during age play/kink for dummies talk between the brothers. That was just too much. I know this family has over shared throughout the series, but this went too far for me.

Sometimes love is with the person you grow up with.
I loved this. Think I liked it more than the first book. We met ty and dec when they were in high school together from the first book.
This book was interesting. Because the ty I met in book one. Is not how this ty turned out to be. Totally different. Granted that was 6 years ago. Rest assured both Ty’s are great!
Great book though. Ty and dec both realize they are in love with the other. Problem is ty thinks dec is straight, and dec isn’t sure what he is. This is one of my favorite story lines. Friends to more. And watching these friends become more is such a wonderful thing. I love exploring new kinks and fetishes. And just like jasper I find myself with my mouth open half the story and googling as the story ends. This could be a standalone, but you do meet ty and dec in book one, and colt and Derek do make appearances throughout this book.
I can’t wait to see what the last Scott brother has up his sleeves. I bet he won’t be so vanilla in the next book -
Ty has spent most of life in love with Declan, his best friend, what Ty doesn't know is that Declan has been in love with him for just as long. Declan has locked himself into the closet tightly, and doesn't know how to open it up. When he gets back from his last deployment, things are off between Ty and Declan and no matter what they do, they can't seem to get back to the way things used to be. Declan finally rips the doors off his closet, but will Ty and Declan be able to take things to the next level or will Ty sexy secrets and a accident keep them from finding their happy ever after.
Ty and Declan were great characters and it was nice to see the Scott family again. Both Ty and Declan are hiding huge parts of themselves from each other and both think that when those secrets get revealed the other won't be able to handle it. I think if they had communicated more instead of just living in their heads things would have gone much smoother for them. Still a great book and I'm looking forward to the last Scott brother's story! -
It was okay, and I definitely give the author points for avoiding the cliches that are too often part of the story when a military guy comes out. But some times it felt like she was trying to force in kink that didn't necessarily fit, and the ending was just a bit too cute for me. I do love how the family is always there for each other even though the amount they share is wildly inappropriate for me. I love that the friends from both the MCs mesh so well too.
In the end it was cute, and it didn't rely too heavily on expected storylines until it kind of did, but cute. -
This one was way better for me. I’m really interested in the next book. Jasper intrigues me more than any other character.

True rating 3.5 stars ... rounded up for a few reasons I will also list, along with other notes as indicated below!!
**** All of this was dictated so there are going to be typos! I will have to heavily revise and proofread everything written here, so keep in mind that I am aware that editing is needed! Once everything has been revised, proofread, edited, I will remove this disclaimer. So recognize that if this disclaimer is still here, I have not revised, edited, or proofread this review yet!! It is coming and will be done!!!
I will repost ... I just have to edit, because HOLY TYPOS ... the dictation feature is illiterate 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡!! But there are quite a few things that have annoyed me how this author writes [totally aside from the fact that there are also many things that I really really like in regard to how this author writes ... but that’s beside to point], and I will be listing the negatives shortly, because they ARE significant and important!!! -
3.5* rounded up
Much as with the first book in this series, this is a nice story with some good characters, but definitely more sexytimes in this one. The main issue I have with both books is that I find it too hard to imagine a group of brothers openly talking about their extreme fetishes. It just isn't believable or necessary to the plot imho. Having said that, the writing is good and I'm going to be rolling right into book 3 ☺️ -
Nice manties and sexy times, but I didn't feel nearly as connected to these two as a couple as I did with the first book's MCs. Not a bad story, but also not my favorite. Oh well...I have high hopes and a good feeling about the next one in the series!
-
The story was compelling enough but the narrator did a poor job. Every sentence had the same tone an rhythm, which distracted a lot. The emotional range was missing, too.
-
Stunning and engaging!
-
This book was fine. There wasn't the same chemistry between the main characters as the first book, but it was okay. What really pushed me into not liking this book was the scene where Jasper finds out about their kinks. Jasper, while a little awkward and definitely naive, has never been outwardly mean to either Derek or Ty, but instead of being kind and explaining their preferences to him, they acted snide and down-right cruel to him. Based on the way they talk about him, they've never been as close with him as each other, but this crossed the line. If my family ever treated me the way they treat Jasper, I would have to reconsider our relationship.
-
Loved Ty and Declan!! A sweet, sexy, feel good read. Looking forward to Jasper's story.

STOP USING DEMISEXUALITY AS A PLOT POINT.
I wanted to love this so much as as an asexual I was really excited to see demisexual rep in a romance, but y'all, if the demi rep is solely used as an excuse as to why two friends haven't gotten together, it's not good demi rep.
I sometimes think people just have absolutely no idea what being demi means. Being demisexual means your asexual until you're not. You don't feel sexual attraction to anyone until a super close emotional bond is formed and even then, it's not a guarantee that you'll be sexually attracted to them. I thought maybe this book would get it right because Declan is described as not being super interested in sex and having very few sexual relationships, but everything else was handled so poorly.
You can't have demisexual rep and then turn around and treat sex as a universal thing. You don't get to use our sexualities as a plot twist and then make huge and gross judgments about why someone wouldn't be into sex or state that "you'd be worried if a twenty something wasn't horny". That's not how this works. Allyship isn't a label you get to stick on. You can't claim to be an ally to aspec people and then pull out that shit in a book.
The worst part about this entire book though is that it would've been a solid book if Declan had just been someone who came out later in life. There was no reason for him to be demi if the author was just gonna be acephobic.
One of my biggest pet peeves with demisexual rep is that so often authors let the character come out as demi but then never use that label to refer to them again. Like when Declan and Ty come out as dating everyone assumes Declan is gay and no one ever questions it or corrects it. Now in real life, I understand that. I'm demiromantic asexual but often use the term queer because it involves less invasive questions, but the fact of the matter is that this is fiction and setting up an environment to dispell some comment myths about demisexuality and to claim pride about it is absolutely mandatory if you want to use our identities. You can't just use our sexuality as an excuse then pretend that it doesn't exist.
I think had this book just had Declan as gay or bi or pan or literally any other sexuality besides demi, it would've been a 4 star book, but with how awful this aspec rep is, I can't even bring myself to give it 2 at this point. This is the first book by Carly Marie that I've disliked and it sucks so badly to have a new favorite author be such a disappointment. -
I am loving this series and we still get to see so much of the couple from the first book too. You saw this book coming from a mile away but I loved seeing how Ty and Declan figured everything out.
Ty and Declan have both been keeping secrets from each other but once they let go you can see how perfectly they fit. I mean, they were basically dating anyways without the benefits. Ty is so cute but fierce too and I can just picture how sexy he looks in his panties.
I am loving the openness in this family and how close Ty and Derek are to each other. It was awesome seeing Jasper when he first saw their kinks, hilarious, I was laughing so hard. I can’t wait to read his book and see how everything works out for him.
Bolton Hill did a great job on the narration, I thought the voices he used were perfect for the characters and was glad he did go to the extreme with them as many I have listened to lately have. His reading also didn't run together so it was easy to keep track of the story. This is a book that I read not too long ago so it was nice to just let the story wash over me.
I received an ARC of this book and am giving an honest review. -
3.5 stars rounded up. This was an OK read featuring two lifelong friends: one of whom was a lingerie-wearing veterinary surgeon and proudly out, the other a SEAL and fairly confused about who he was and what he wanted, but needless to say that all changed 😉 and Ty got his man Dec in the end.
Have to say I'm glad I didn't read book 1
At Home as it featured a Daddy Dominant and his 'little' [who happens to be Ty's elder brother]...the thought of a 30+ year old man swanning around in a nappy [diaper] with a bottle or sippy cup in his hand does not appeal at all I'm afraid...but each to his own as they say. Although it must be nice to have a country singing star for an elder brother who can just drop $4 million to buy you a house of your own... -
5* great best friends to lover story. Was great to read more about Ty and his family. Now I can’t wait for Jasper‘s story. From the preview I sense it will be great :)

Sweet
This is a cotton candy sweet read with a bit of kink and a lot of sex. The characters were well formed and relatable. -
Loved it just as much again!
Original review... 4.5 stars
I'm really enjoying this series. -
Did someone say friends to lovers with healthy demi-sexual rep? YASS!!
This was so stinkin cute. I mean I think I even liked it more than Derek and Colt story (and that is saying something). It's friends to lovers which is my favorite trope EVER and it's done so well. It has the awkwardness that I love followed by the ease that comes with the understanding of it nothing really treat changes just now we're doing it haha. Which reminds me, the smut, solid A overall.
The characters are great, the writing is good, it's a cute little story I think anyone who enjoys mm romances we'll have a fun time with. Plus there's demi sexual rep and as someone who is Demi it warms my heart to no end. I kind of wish it was talked about a little more than just in the first third of the book but the fact that it was mentioned at all (and done well!) I'll take it.
Why does it not get 5 stars if I enjoyed it so much you ask? Well in truth, I really don't know. I like the book a lot, I really did, but there was something...missing I guess. It was close, that's for sure but it didn't give me the giddy, lighthearted, cozy warm fangirling feeling I get when I read something that is 5 stars. I don't know if that makes sense and maybe that sounds unfair of me but...yeah. That's where I am.
But it's great, seriously. It's not as Kinky as the first book (which wasn't that Kinky at all if you ask me) so if you're looking for something a little more familiar here it is. But it's not vanilla either. Like at all haha. Anyways, 4 stars but a high 4. -

I loved this one! Sweet, & sexy, and a wonderful demisexual, best-friends to lovers romance!!
This is a somewhat epic second-chance and sexual awakening story with many years passing between book 1 and book 2 in this series. Ty and Declan are in their mid-20s now and Ty has been in love with/fighting his feelings for Delcan most of his life. While Delcan seems settled in his life but is finding the closet rather suffocating. I liked the connection between Declan and Ty and how they both love each other but can't say, show or act on it. It made for great dialogue and funny moments.
I love Carly's cheeky approaches to something "kinky" and this story is no exception! I loved Ty sexy secret and felt it added some wonderful heat and sexy, teasing moments between these two, while sort of forcing Delcan into action and bridging the gap between their friendship and more!
I love inclusive stories and various representations and I felt this was a beautiful representation of demisexuality, with a Carly sexy twist that just works! I loved it and look forward to more in this series and more cheeky kink from Carly ;)
Bolton does a fantastic job narrating this story. I felt all the emotions from Bolton's narration. I loved it! Bolton and Carly are a dream team!!

Carly Marie's Coming Home is the second book in the Finding Home series. It is a contemporary m/m romance with a best friends to lovers theme.
Ty and Declan have been friends for pretty much their whole lives, secretly in love for the last several years. When "straight" Declan comes out to Ty and professes he may be demisexual and in love with him for years, these two decide that falling into a relationship is definitely worth exploring... especially after Ty realizes Declan is drawn to Ty's love of Lace panties. But of course there will be challenges - like Declan getting deployed.
I love Ty and Declan. Ty is comfortable in his body and has a great attitude. Declan is great and I love how he is full in when it comes to being with Ty , no more hiding in closet - he embraces it and makes no apologies. Their strong friendship just makes their lovestory stronger and hotter. This story is so sweet and yet sexy. It made me smile and I just enjoyed every moment -
This was such a sweet romance. The first book in the Finding Home series was really smut + kink first, and then some plot on the side. This book, whilst of course having some softer kinks (mainly one of the characters wearing lacy underwear), the plot was forefronted a lot more. I absolutely loved the demisexuality representation! As someone who is demisexual themselves, it's also so refreshing to see this in romance books especially. The demisexuality representation really worked in this book as it had the best friends to lovers trope, which made the connection between the two characters even sweeter. However, demisexuality doesn't mean you are in love with your best friends(just anyone you have a connection with first), which this book kind of leant into, but other than that, it was great!

The relationship between Ty and Declan was adorable and sweet. I loved how they went from best friends to lovers. Plus, Ty in manties was hot and the sex scenes were great. The only thing I didn’t really like was how the author talked about Declan being in the Navy because there were some details that were wrong that jarred me out of the story when I read them. I don’t think those wrong details would matter to the average reader, and I was able to brush them off fairly quickly. I read this story for fluff and kink, and on that front, the author delivered.
Overall Rating: 3 Stars. It was a good story with decent writing. The characters were likable and the sex scenes were great. -
This book was super spicy 🌶 🌶🌶🌶🌶 and wonderful. This story is about Declan Andrews and Ty Scott. Ty and Declan have been friends for quite a while. Ty worked on keeping Declan in the friend zone. At twenty six Declan was a Navy Seal. When Declan saw his best friend flirting with another guy he didn’t want to be in the friend zone anymore.
He admitted to his best friend that he wasn’t straight and was into him. Ty was also harboring a secret crush on Declan. He also had a secret that he never told Declan that he was into wearing lingerie. Declan gets turned on seeing Ty in lace and satin. This book was quite good and very very hot 🔥🔥. I loved reading this book.
