This tale is one of fantasy and magic with an important underlying message. One day a fire dragon named Flame happened to be playing out in the field when he saw a brightly colored rainbow. For some reason, it appeared strange to him. That's when he spotted a unicorn at the end of the rainbow. Flame strikes up a conversation with the creature whose name is Sparkles. The unicorn teaches Flame that all beings are magical and that we just need to look inside ourselves to discover our talents which can be developed with practice. Sparkes and Flame resolve to become friends and combine their magic in subsequent adventures.

The author is ten years old. His mother assisted him with the illustrations. This book might also be used as a beginning chapter book for new readers. Recommended for ages three through seven.

This book by a young author shows how each of us has magic and we can expand it even bigger when we join with other magical beings! I'm impressed and think it's a great read for all ages, but particularly for young people who need to reminded of their unique gifts and magic. I love the art that is filled with brilliant colors and will catch the attention of young audiences.

Cute story about friendship, trying new things (even if they are a bit scary), and finding magic all around you.
