Forbidden Passion (Book One 1) Reviews
-
I've been struggling with writing this review for quite some time. Part of the problem is that writing reviews for books that you didn't enjoy can be really difficult. I don't want to be awful and mean about something that an author has spent time over, but at the same time, I want to be honest.
This one really didn't work for me. I'm not sure if it was the writing style, which wasn't to my taste, or possibly some issue with the editing, but I couldn't really relate to any of the characters in the book. By the end of it, I was just glad that the thing was over and I wouldn't be reading book two. I found the female character really unbelievable as a woman, which is odd seeing as I believe the author is a woman. She seemed to be both really prude and open to things at the same time and it was just strange. The other characters barely even registered if I'm honest. It didn't help that the copy I had continually switched from Sara to Pam for the main character and I had no idea that they were the same person, to begin with (as I say, editing issues). The dialogue was unnatural and the storyline itself just didn't seem to make much sense.
The only good thing about this book was that it was quite short, so over quickly. Really not for me, sorry.
