One of the greatest title in the world is to be called a ‘parent’ and one of the biggest blessings in the world is to have parents whom we call ‘MOM ’and DAD’. It gives me immense bliss to present you an entirely personal, emotional ,heart melting and successful journey of Sharda. As the name suggest she is neither a master’s degree holder nor a PhD holder but again as the name suggest she has reached out as a Doctorate holder for her tremendous achivements throughout her life. She gives an urgent message of her eternal strength to raise her voice against the provocation women face. But the way she was betrayed, deceived, cheated emotionally by her own kids is actually the pulse of this book. Lady of letters, Cauveri gauges the substandard and unacceptable state of affairs and circumstances which leads our society towards anguish and dejection of the holy and immortal souls called parents in her debut novel. She tried to hold tight the missing link between parents and their progeny.

The title of the book is apt for the story. The concept of the book is what we are seeing everywhere in our daily life. The book leaves you with lots of questions, not about the story but about your personal behaviour, your ignorant behaviour for the people who love you. Narration is smooth and you can feel the struggle and pain of the characters. The topic is very emotional and I personally think book shows the reality. The value of our relations is well expressed in the book. Everyone can relate with this book. Overall, a good book with a realistic story.

Have you stopped loving? is an emotional journey of the protagonist Sharda from an ambitious small-town girl to a strong-willed woman who diminishes her obstacles with her hard work. The story gives the limelight to a not-so-discussed issue among the parents and their children. Here Sharda is a self-made woman who is highly respected in the society because of her commendable hard work. Despite her professional success, her children questions her ways, owing to the luring of some others.

I always think that the relationship and emotional connection between every mother and their children are immortal and beyond the description. Being a mother is the most challenging job because this status never lost even after you die. This unexplainable connection between every mother and her child is built upon trust and unconditional love. Woman are lucky because they can experience this state from their mother and also can set an example to their children by becoming a mother herself. With all these responsibilities, being a working woman is not easy.

Here in this story, we can see a woman who is the mother of three children and after their birth, she actually started chasing her dreams. Just like everyone, she also has a dream to be an educated and successful woman and obviously, she is disappointed when they are denied. But when she got a small chance she woke up and worked for it. She has done everything possible to balance her job and motherhood and even became successful in both.

But even though upbringing has certain effects on one’s mentality, it never is enough to predict a person completely. Time to time, people became puppets, in the hands of some other cunning people because of their delusions of love towards them. This is the true evil and this makes everyone forget their past and forcing them to live in the present and future. But the total dismissal of one’s past will eventually lead them to ultimate failure.

This story is a light-hearted family drama. It is not a story revolves around a single challenge but around numerous small problems facing by a family. This gives a touch of reality to this plot. The plot is snitched through numerous daily-life problems faced by Sharda and her family over the years.

The number of characters is low which is perfect for a small family drama. The author focused on these limited characters and their development.

I liked the way the author incorporated her view on woman-empowerment and education from the first page to the last. Often the work-place became the hide-out of Sharda from her personal problems. The way, the author encourages girl child to take their education seriously is worth mentioning.

The author has also given space to discuss dowry, low-income and practically all other problems faced by a woman. This is a good initiative.

I always love black and white covers and this cover also never disappoints me. From the title, it is evident that it is a woman-drama.

I liked the character of Abha and how she turns thing around at the climax. Her self-made personality is a good example. She made mistakes and she paid them. But with her confidence, she rectifies her life.

The language is simple and easily complete the reading within two sitting.

Overall, this is a good weekend read with a powerful message.

📙Review - Have You Stopped Loving? is a heartbreaking, emotional and succesful jouney through different emotions of love, sacrifice, pain, betrayl and self realisation. The author has chosen quite a sensitive topic to write upon. The story is narrated in a unique way where the author seems to be talking with her readers directly while narrating the story. The plot is laced with deep and raw emotions. All the characters seem to be very relevant and relatable especially that of Sharda's. Sharda's humility, her pride, her piety, her courage, her truthfulness, her endurance are all brought out beautifully in the course of the story and these arouse our deepest admiration for her. The importance of education and women empowerment is highlighted throughout the story. Not only this the author through her story has also tried to brought out the harsh reality of children's bad behaviour towards their parents as they grow old.⁣⁣

The book is about Sharda, who is a very strong lady bearing 3 children. This is the story about how she turned around her whole life. A story about how it doesn’t matter if you start from scratch, what matters is where you end up after all your efforts. The way she faced so much trouble to ensure the proper growth and development of her children. Her sacrifices and troubles so that they won’t have to face a life of problems. She, along with her husband did everything to safeguard the future of her children. But the way her children pay her back is the spine of the story. It portrays a very sensitive but strong message that we usually forget about our parents. Our generation has become so much selfish that we fail to realize the struggles our parents must have faced to bring us up. Overall, this is a very pleasing read. The author, with her debut work has succeeded in tugging the strings of the heart with her story. In all ways, the story has some personal touch and the reader can feel the story unfolding right in front of their eyes.
The ending of the book has been thoughtfully portrayed and brings out the triumph of good over evil. There couldn’t have been a better ending according to me. While reading the book, I felt a variety of emotions and for that I am very much grateful to the author.
I would recommend this book for people looking for a light, sensitive and easy read. It is a good book to pick up while developing a reading habit.

The Book was good as the author was able to connect with the reader.
It is an emotional story. The writer has emphasised on the word Mom & Dad often.
Few of the best lines I liked from the book was-
1)"If these boys don't understand the true facts of life, then they neither have the rights to hurt them nor have the rights to call them mom and dad".
    2) "A lie can never stand long before truth". The Truth takes its own time to shine and show how glorious it is. It eradicates all the negatives & fluorishes no matter what may obstruct it's path.

Initially, the book did not surprise me much, but once the story progresses, you go along with it.

The story goes on smoothly, but some of it is dragged.

The writing is style is good but overall story narration can be improved.

Also, I really liked how the author emphasizes on a strong women character. The way Sharda is self made and her struggles to achieve success.

I also liked Abha’s character development as her character changes completely by the end of this book.

The book is a slow read, but overall it’s good and different read

Three for book one for the topic
    .
Review: This book is more like anecdotal style as story is in a continuous flow event happening one to another at quick pace, chapters don't complete one event, and turn to another chapter, author instead of writing chapter and no. Should have leave space and move to new page would make it more effective.
The topic is great that family stand by you all the time, one must not believe in person with cunning mind and look up to break the bond in relationship, parents love there children despite children wrong behaviour and attitude towards them. Truth is inevitable and can't be hidden for longer time. Always be on right side and love of siblings in today's life is to be the counted as greatest treasure. Freedom is good but not on the cost of someone respect and tears. Person should hear both side of the stories and then should take decision on the bases of what is wrong and right as story set in past after independence so important of education is major topic back then and consider to be important till now.

Have you Stopped Loving ? by Cauveri is an emotional turmoil of a middle class woman 'Shardha' and her life story..The story revolves around 'Shardha' ,her family ,kids ,their families and besides all these it also involves the self achievement of 'Shardha' ..She seems to be a strong woman who was very independent to do any task at the same time having her own attachment to family by sticking on to family values..
The author perfectly put on the story by adding the essence of pure emotions and sentiments and also the embodiment of parentage..The kids when they grewup tries to take up their life into their own hands by thinking that the parents now have become old or unmanageable..But they never think about the other side of the coin that Parents do hurt alot by the kids deeds when they were being ignored ..This story has this strong theme which the writer has perfectly penned down in the story..
Any middle class married woman can easily relatable to this story

The story touches such a sensitive topic that I'm glad I had the honor of reading it. The sacrifices of parents are one debt that we never can repay. This stunning narrative by the protagonist brings out the pain and struggles faced while fighting against the constant hurdles of life and society. A true woman story.
