Mostly Humanoid, definitely alien, sentient liquid metal. Not what Dolan had hoped for in a lover.

The ‘Molten’ collection is one of the most creative science fiction stories I have ever read. The worldbuilding is exceptional, the characters are multilayered, mysterious, and fascinating, and the storyline takes some very unusual turns. With an alien life form that has physical and psychological characteristics that are pretty unique, I found this series to be spellbinding, entertaining, and it has left me thoughtful and craving more science fiction like it.
