The Wee-Hour Folk Reviews
-
The Wee-Hour Folk is a strange book by Adi Rajan and Archit Vaze. I have found books to be of four types: good books, best-sellers, critically acclaimed and strange books. The meaning of the first three types is quite obvious. However, the books dealing with an unpopular subject, leaving you in wonderment without quenching your thirst are of the strange kind. When you encounter such books, you continue to read the story in everyday life, beyond the last page of the book. One begins to wonder how the seeds of this concept found their fertile ground and flourished.
The book attempts not to shed light on the lives of beings of the night, but takes you into their dark world. You begin to wonder who these creatures are, who have already been ignored by the mainstream society, their motivations and the secrets of their way of life. All this leaves you totally baffled as you turn the last page and try to search for more wee-hour folks under the glowing moon on the back cover.
The book was also featured at Indie Comix Fest 2018 in Mumbai.
