    Very lovely story

I really appreciated that this story was more about the different types of love, especially the love God has for us. It focused a lot on different friendships and how relationships change over time.

I have to admit, I am not a fan of first person narrative, and this one went back and forth from past to present tense; however, I was drawn in to the intriguing story, and I loved to see how the lives of the three point of view characters intersected.

I thought the themes were lovely, the character portrayals were honest, and I was sad to see it end. Overall, it was an enjoyable Christian fiction read that, to me, was more about learning to love yourself in whatever stage in life you happen to be than romance...although the married couples did serve as a reminder that it's always good to be intentional about keeping the love alive in marriage as well!

Fun and entertaining, I could hear the accents as I read (I'm American). Every girl needs friends like Kirsty's!

Such a Beautiful Combo of Sweetness, Humor, and Sorrow

I so enjoyed getting to know the main characters of this lovely novel. The author showed the ups and downs of dating, careers, motherhood/marriage, and friendship in urban Scotland. I laughed out loud, and I got teary, as I read this novel. If you loved Angela Ruth Strong's Husband Auditions, you will enjoy this contemporary tale of three characters f

A book about starting over. This story is set in Glasgow with Kristy, Paul, and Jennifer as the main characters. Paul is a Hairdresser and is very intrigued with a lady that is dressed in a raincoat and sunglasses. Will a relationship begin? Kristy and Jennifer are finding they might want to start over again also.
Have a little faith, you never know where you might find another chance at love.

This story has a nice blend of mature Christians and those who are early in their faith. The hardest part for me was some of the repetitive poor choices that Kirsty made. She created so much drama, I admired how her friends stood by her, encouraging her and loving her through it all.

My favorite character was Paul and how his group of Christian male friends supported him in his new faith journey. Kirsty and Paul's dating struggles were believable and to see them realize and overcome bad dating habits should be an encouragement to young people today that there is hope in Christ.

Jennifer's character as a struggling mom was very real and excellently portrayed. My main dissatisfaction was that in order to get to a more substantial place in all of these characters lives you have to get the next book. I felt there was some narrative that could have been taken out of the story to make room to have a better finale and one complete story.

The book description mentions "faith" once but I didn't expect it to have a lot of religious topics and references. It's not a book for me unfortunately.

Thank you for the e-copy received through the Goodreads Giveaway.

Not only was this a new-to-me author but it was also a slightly out of the norm for genre. But I enjoyed it throughly! I enjoyed the character development and the fact that I didn't always know where it was going next. Great read!

    easy read

Contemporary story about love and growing faith. Set in Glasgow. Told from various perspectives, organized by chapter. It was okay. I did find myself thinking about the characters when not reading - that’s usually a good sign with a book.
