How Time Is on Your Side Reviews

Well-written and unique time management book.
Bridget does an excellent job speaking to the ever present myth that time is the enemy. It is not; it is our friend.
Highly recommended for readers who have enjoyed books by David Allen, Paula Rizzo, and Laura Vanderkam. -
At this point in my life this book wasn't very needed (retired and have a lot more flexibility with my time). However, I did get some inspiration about setting priorities (which does require discipline) and taking advantage of little amounts of time during the day to exercise a bit, learn something new, etc. Emphasizing things don't need to be looked at as large projects, but can be broken down into increments instead, which gave me some ideas about how to change my outlook on some of the bigger projects I'd like to do. It also relieved some feelings of guilt for doing some of the things I always wanted to do - more time spent reading, playing the piano, walking the dogs, cooking.

Cute design! This was an pleasure-to-read book while doing lots of tasks. Loved reading the stories of others (other parents). Perfect reminder that time is not our enemy. I am trying to apply some tips such as doing something for fun (creative hobby) even if it could be just 10-15 minutes daily, that even listening one podcast a day is meaningful. Cause nobody will remember us for nicely ironed mountains of laundry.

A sweet, small and gentle reminder of how much we do have on our hands when we transform our perspective and relationship with time. It’s a thin little gorgeous thing, and I’m glad I stumbled across it at the SF MoMA’s gift shop!

A smartly-designed guide to empowering one’s self, simplifying and categorizing wants/needs, changing one’s mindset for a healthier, more focused, and more positive approach.
-
Witty and insightful. Not a how-to guide, but more of a compilation of different examples on how people spend their time and on finding what works for you.
-
Concise time management hacks that spur you into actions to regain time on your side. Unique presentation of time management.

Always looking for ways to look at time and life differently. This helped, and was a quick read.

“Time, it turns out, is not actually your enemy. It’s not against you. If time could want, it would probably want to be enough for you.”

This is a fun and light-hearted book about time management and different perspectives on life’s biggest dilemma, how we spend our precious time on earth. There are a lot of examples of people’s lives and how they manage the chaos.
The book gives some tips and tricks but ultimately it doesn’t give any solid answers. (Who really can?) It’s definitely a fun, short read and I recommend it for people who could use a few new time management skills.
