A short novella chronicling the early adulthood of a small group of characters, the glimpses of their lives only seen at one setting: the beach where they go skinnydipping at night.

Amazon description:
Travel to, time and time again, a stretch of beach that connects a web of characters as they go through life, always returning to that special place where memories both good and bad are formed.

Burnie, a young man preparing to start his adult life, clings to the companionship of his longtime crush, Samantha, who one day asks him: wanna go skinnydipping?

Samantha, exposed early on to the joys of swimming nude, tries to sort her life out, amidst the confusing times of high school and college, while trying to do what's best for her younger sister, Tam.

Several other interesting and layered characters cross paths with Burnie, Samantha, and Tam in Night Swims, a nostalgic look back at times well spent.

    Night Swims

More a series of interconnected short stories than a novella, this details the pleasant experiences of Samantha and Burnie as they skinny dip at a North Carolina beach both together and separately over two decades. The end was both unexpected and bittersweet.

    Not. Bad to read

I liked the story, and in most cases, the jumping around would work with the story. But in this case, I believe the writer would have been better off sticking to the timeline instead of jumping back and forth in time.
