SUMMARY: This Non-Fiction book goes through the specific lives of ancient Egyptians and specifically a little boy name Shen and his life and how his day and life looked as an Egyptian. The book is very specific about the climate, environment and survival skills as well as religious behaviors of Shen and th Egyptians.

EVALUATION: This would be a great book to also include in a text set, the text is not difficult to understand and would be an easy book to use as a resource for research. The true story of the little boy would also be a way for children reading this book to compare and contrast their lives to that of Shen.

TEACHING POINT: I would use this book in a history lesson or in a research assignment for students in my class to have for research purposes.
