Brielle: Blood Ties Series Book 1 (Paranormal Menage Romance) Reviews

Brielle is the first werewolf/shifter novel that I've read that doesn't include even one shape-shifting incident! I'd have figured that it'd make the book less likable, I mean if there's not a furry huge wolf there then what's the point of a werewolf novel, right? Wrong. Brielle focused more on the characters as people rather than werewolves, and that's what made it oh so special!
This novel was totally new. Every stereotype that I've read in so many werewolf novels was absent in this one.
The concept of Celestial Mates was interesting, and the characters of Brielle, Cole and Max entertaining.
The storyline was pretty awesome too, and I loved the fact that we got to read the novel in 3 different POVs!
The only thing that disappointed me was that the name of the enemy wasn't revealed. Maybe it's because he plays a part in the rest of the trilogy?
Anyway, to conclude, Brielle was a refreshing and enjoyable read! -
A completely compelling read, couldn't put it down. The dynamics and chemistry of the three main characters was amazing, I enjoyed the plots twists and turns and near misses. Look forward to reading the rest of the series!

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I liked this book, however there may be triggers for people that have issues with a sexual assault. The reason for my 3 star review is that I felt that in the context of the book that the sexual assault on Brielle was glossed over. She freaked out a little bit, but then seemed to be over it. I personally don't feel that is a realistic reaction. I understand this a paranormal romance FICTION book, however, I think it could have been dealt with a little better.
With all of the above being said, the backstory on the main characters was well done. All of the interactions between Brielle and her two mates were wonderful, as well as the reasons Brielle didn't know she is a shifter were all explained well.
I would definitely read more form this author and hope that she continues to hone her craft. -
I found this story very slow and hard to get into at the beginning but once the story started to get going everything started making sense and I started to enjoy it. Who doesn't love a shifter book and a insta-love ménage at that. Once established that both Max and Cole had found their soul mate and the threats made against her they will move heaven and earth to protect what is theirs with the help of the pact and family. We get a glimpse of other pack members and another probable pairing up which is gonna be explosive. I enjoyed this book and the fact that their story is more than just the ménage. I'm looking forward to boo too.

I found this book through a reading group and picked it up on Kindle Unlimited. This is the first book I have read by this author but won't be the last. The characters are developed well and the story line flows nice for a short story, I longer story I would expect a slightly slower pace but the pace works for the length of this story. There is action, suspense, sexy alpha males and some hot and steamy scenes, what more could you want. If you like PNR this is a must read!

The book was good overall, thankfully I rarely leave a book unfinished. The story was difficult to get into at first but came around about a third of the way through. I'm ready for the next book in the series. This book can be a stand alone; however, there were. enough teasers in this one to make me want to read the next.

A different kind of shifter romance. They never changed to a Wolf. Max and Cole found their mate Brielle.
I really enjoyed the interaction between the three of them. I got pictures in my head of them = well described. Need to find my next Ashlee story.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. -
I really enjoyed the storyline and I absolutely loved the chemistry between Ryder and Julia! This book was so hard to put down that I read it in one sitting!

Brielle had just experienced the worse moment of her life. Assaulted at knife point and left to die. If not for Cole she would have died, right there on the street. But what had the makings of being her destruction became her making. It brought her soul mates to her, her celestial mates. But the danger has not passed. There was more to the attack than a random encounter, a larger game is underway, and Brielle is centre to it all. Destiny itself lies in the balance, but can Cole and Max prevent the tragedy that they've been forewarned is to come.
A really nice paranormal romance. Great characters and an enjoyable read. Written in a soft narrative voice with care taken on more sensitive issues. I've never read twilight, but I imagine this to be a more grown up version. I particularly enjoyed the fact it was character driven and whilst the supernatural elements were important to the plot, the story didn't rely on them -
I wasn't sure how I was going to like this book. It was different from my normal reading but I loved it. I can't wait for the next book.
-
I love shifter, romance, and suspense. This book as it in spades. Did I mention it’s a ménage. You can’t go wrong with this book.
-
Weak arc.

I didn't dislike book but I surely didn't love it. What made me give it two stars is the back to back monologues. Every conversation was like an opportunity for the character to give as much information as humanly possible about their feelings and/or the history. The story line and concept was interesting but it was muddied by all of the dialogue. I likes the story line so much I'm tempted to read book two but I doubt I will. Books like this make me really appreciate the new Kindle unlimited program.

Poorly written but even worse was the editing. I could of been a decent series.
-
Shifter storyline that was intriguing and hot. Included a ménage relationship between Max, Brielle, and Cole. First book I've read by this author but definitely held my attention.
-
The story begins with Brielle leaving work, she is assaulted by a man who claims to be watching over her for his master. But he decided that he wanted her for himself, and he then viciously assaults her.
Cole a wolf shifter is also leaving work when he smells blood, a sweet smelling blood. He finds Brielle and takes her to hospital as his inner wolf is claiming mine. Cole calls his best friend Max also a shifter, Max meets Cole at the hospital and also feels the same way as Cole. They believe that Brielle is their celestial mate.
There is more danger to come as the attack was not just a case of Brielle being in wrong place at the wrong time. There is something much larger at hand.
I enjoyed this book, I love erotic and paranormal so with the two mixed together it made for a great read. Hot shifters, a threesome what more could you want. Awaiting book 2 -
Loved "Brielle" by Ashlee Shades. Brielle is attacked by a menacing man and left unconscious on the sidewalk. Cole hears Brielle's screams as he is locking up his business for the night. Cole brings Brielle to the hospital and calls his best friend Max to help him. These two wolf shifters soon realize that they have found their Celestial mate is Brielle. No more spoilers-this is a must read. Ashlee Shades is an amazing author whose erotic writing makes this story a fast and hot read. Book two: " Dani" is out to read. Loved this book!
