    2023 - 365 Days of Horror

Issue #10: A good read. First issue where there seemed to be a theme to a number of the stories. I’d say, just don’t lose your head.

Crawling Evil: A man hating witch teaches her granddaughter to be the same. The choice of spell is interesting but it changes from being verbal to automatic with no explanation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Haven of Terror: A good, old fashioned haunted house story with a drifter the chosen victim of a mother and daughter murder team. Best of the bunch. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

True Tales of Unexplained Mystery #54 (illustrated text story): First of the trio of headless stories and first of two taking place in a wax museum. Short, predictable. ⭐️⭐️

Gallery of the Dead: Misunderstood, misshapen protagonist. Taking place in another wax museum with another beheading (or two if you count wax figures). Another theme that extends through all issues, love must die to win. ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️1/2

Your Head for Mine: As the title says, another story where two people lose their heads (one by shotgun) and another evil, cheating wife. No wax museum in this one. ⭐️⭐️

Issue #11: A low point. Or maybe I just wasn’t in the mood.

Beast of Bedlam: A reincarnation story of an insane woman who thinks she’s the Queen and the “Master of Bedlam”. Good, just not quite there. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Miser in the Coffin: Greedy old man on his death bed figures out how to take his wealth with him. Quite predictable. ⭐️⭐️

The Missing Man (text story): A proper text story this time. A scientist who worked in seclusion for two years with one other man to develop the atomic bomb. But where is his partner as their train home approaches? Best of a bd lot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

Terror in the Night: Screams fill the night air as death stalks the streets. But what is the killer really up to? Another meh. ⭐️⭐️1/2

Bool on her Lips: Predictable werewolf story with a Canadian Mountie. ⭐️⭐️
