But in the heat of the moment, against the wall in a darkened hallway of an illicit club, none of those things mattered. It was just one night of giving in to what we both wanted.
I never expected to see him two years later, sitting across me during a family dinner, encouraging me to do my internship for his business.
On day one we both agree that repeating that night would be a mistake. But it’s a mistake we can’t help but make again and again.
The rules are simple. We can’t tell my uncle. We have to be content with our hotel rendezvous. And we won’t fall in love.
But we both know we’re liars.

'LIAR:' is the third full length romance book in 'Fiona Cole's 'Voyeur Series.' The storyline follows Olivia and Kent’s romance. Olivia is Oaklyn’s best friend and Daniel’s niece. Kent is Daniel’s business partner and long time best friend. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'
Going into this I didn’t realise this was part of a series so the beginning for me seemed as though I was missing a chunk of the story (which in retrospect I was) because it didn’t go into their first time together (which was over a year ago) so I missed that previous whole connection they'd had, which reflects in my rating. I needed to feel their connection, I wanted to feel all those forbidden feels that I should've felt, but sadly I didn't.
“𝙄 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙄 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙮 𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙚'𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙.
𝙄 𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙄'𝙢 𝙖 𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙧.”
I signed up for this because it just screamed forbidden!! Age gap ✔️Older guy-Much younger female ✔️Best friends niece ✔️The secrecy ✔︎
“𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐧, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐈 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐦. ”
Olivia needed to find an unpaid internship as part of her curriculum for the semester by creating a mock business based on what they had learned in class and that's where Kent comes into the story. He'll be her mentor, half owner of Voyeur, and is also in the opening process of a new hotel in Cincinnati which would be the perfect opportunity for Olivia to see the final stages of the business set in place.
Even though they tried to keep it all above board and professional it didn't take these two long to succumb to their attraction and that's when the true magic started.

After a night of passion over a year ago, Olivia Witt thought she never again had to face the man who showed her what pleasure really meant. However, Alexander Kent’s connection to her family brought them together again towards a path they knew they shouldn’t take. The allure was too hard for them to resist and came with consequences that they might not be willing to accept.I’d said I didn’t need him, and I wouldn’t chase him, but god, I hadn’t realized how much I’d needed this until I knew it was finally going to happen.
Kent and Olivia might be significantly different in age but they fit together well. They came from a similar background, so they matched intellectually and socially. I liked her boldness and his maturity.I felt like a little girl at the mercy of this man, and I loved it.
As usual, when it comes to sex scenes, the author managed to make it dirty yet sensual. The forbidden element certainly added to the hotness and intensity.
Liar is a story of pursuing passions in life and love. It would appeal to readers who enjoy a sexy age-gap romance.
Note: Though not required, I feel it’s essential for readers to read the short story prequel
Watch With Me in order to fully understand the connection and relationships dynamic. It will help in adding impact to the story.

With her in my arms, all was right in my world.
Liar is the story of Alexander Kent who unexpectedly falls in love with a much younger Olivia Witt. Apart from the age difference, Kent is best friends and business partner's with Olivia's uncle Daniel thus making their situation extremely messy. Having met in his sex club Voyeur, one night of hot sex was all that was on offer.
Fast forward two years, Olivia begins an internship with Kent, which they are both weary of due to their past history. Now realistically this is not exactly an original storyline but Kent to me was standout. Because the man had a conscience. He may have been a womanizer with particular tastes (rough sex, bondage, spanking, just to tantalize your tastebuds) but he did care about the ramifications if they continued their relationship. He did a good job of resisting the devious little minx Olivia, but what happens when you genuinely like someone beyond the bedroom?
Olivia Witt isn't looking for attachments. Having been burnt by her one real boyfriend she didn't know what she was searching for until she laid eyes on Kent. And sometimes the pull is instantaneous. Attraction, chemistry and want can make for bad decisions. However, given the opportunity to experience desire like never before, not many would say no. Like Kent, Olivia was reluctant to care because heartbreak wasn't on the cards..
While I didn’t chase men, for another chance with Alexander Kent, I may speed walk to get him.
Well these two incinerated the pages over and over and yet their connection was solid.
“Because you are just a little girl, aren’t you? Dry humping a grown man’s leg, nice enough to let you come on him.”
I really enjoyed their initial interactions gradually evolving into something substantial. However accepting their feelings and finding the courage to come out to the people they love is another scenario. I would highly recommend you read the prequel 'Watch With Me' (currently FREE on Amazon) for the complete story. Loved, loved! -

Oh how I wanted to love this. I enjoy Fiona Cole’s writing and I love a good age gap so I thought for sure this would be a win. Although I liked parts (specifically the hero ;)) the heroine really got on my nerves. It usually takes a mature heroine for an age gap to work and Olivia felt really immature to me. I also would have loved to see some of their past. I feel like that could have been shown to us a little better. Still, I liked this one but I wanted to love it.

Liar is the sexy forbidden age gap romance that we couldn’t wait to indulge in. It had all the makings of a passionate love affair, characters that were lovable but still had flaws of their own, and a solid plot that would make you want to read more despite being frustrated at times.
Tw years ago Olivia had a one night stand with an older man that rocked her to her core. Now a twenty one year old College student, she often thinks about that night and knows that nothing will ever compare to what she experienced a few years. But if it’s just the memories she can hold on to and let it leave a smile on her face, she’ll gladly take it while trying to navigate her own life and future career. While at a family dinner, her whole world becomes halted when the man who has haunted her sexual dreams in now standing in her parents living room as a dinner guest! And not just any guest, he’s her uncle’s best friend.
Running a company is hard work. Opening two more hotels is a stress nightmare but for a man like Alexander Kent, this is his normal and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Having one night stands every now and then to de stress is the only intimacy Kent can afford at the moment and nothing is going to change that. That is until a young blonde walked in and ruined him two years ago and little does he know, she’s about to do it all over again.
I have to say that I really liked Kent. He had this charm and aura about him that made you feel safe and wanted but at the same time had your body burning with need!! I loved his protectiveness and he knew exactly what he wanted in life and left little room for unnecessary things. The issue that I had with this story was that I truly felt like I was missing something and I didn’t get the connection between some of the characters and their dynamics. I also hated the conflict towards the end and I wanted Olivia to have a stronger back bone. If those two things didn’t occur, I would have really fallen in love with this one because I really like this author’s writing.
If you’re a fan of forbidden romance or you’re familiar with the Voyeur world, then I think you’ll enjoy this one.

Buddy Read with
Jade.
It took me ages to get back to this book after I started it months ago, but I'm glad I decided to go there with Jade - I really liked the writing.
The first part absolutely pulled me in, Olivia was a spitfire and such a fun heroine; and Kent was absolute male hotness in a person... And let me tell you, Ms. Cole can write some seriously hot anticipation and build up some explosive chemistry!
But then something happened with the heroine in the second part and I just wanted to slap this book - repeatedly.
Because instead of delicious character development I was waiting for, Olivia went through such a horrible regression into juvenile insecurities and drama, it almost ruined the story for me. Even at the end, she didn't get much better - I just wanted to shake her! Her constant need for appreciation and validation (from everyone!!) was sad and childish - and it went so much against the character we've met in the beginning, it made me dizzy.
“Really? You don’t think less of me because I’m in love with the guy I was interning with who’s much older?”
- Jeeeez... Cringe.
Kent, on the other hand, grew into a wonderful partner and really became a man every woman would run through fire for. Yeah, that good.
So I guess the hero and his character development saved the story for me, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. I still loved the writing and will be sticking with the series. -
A whole bunch of "meh" feelings come up with this one. It's not a bad book, I just didn't really care about anybody who was in it. And everything got resolved pretty quicky (which would never really happen in real life if you ask me) so yeah. Meh.
-
This was so disappointing. I was excited for a taboo romance between a college student and her uncle's best friend. Unfortunately, we missed when these two met and are dumped into the story when they've already hooked up at the club that this series centers around. I'm not sure if this scene was in a previous book (I read book one and skipped to this one since it's marketed as a standalone), but I felt like I missed an important connection between them. There wasn't much to their relationship other than the physical aspect. Then it turned insta-love real quick and I just didn't care. I knew the final conflict would be the uncle figuring out about the relationship, and it played out pretty much exactly as I was expecting. I wasn't a fan of that being the major conflict of their relationship and was just left disappointed with this book.
-
I wanted to love this one so badly (it’s an age gap/forbidden romance between a younger heroine and her uncle’s best friend) but the story was too short and didn’t feel developed enough. I never really saw why they fell for each other either outside of the bedroom.
-
Liar is a forbidden, age gap romance. And it is hot. Only on the sex scenes. The rest.... is OK. Maybe because I read too many books similar to Liar, so I did not bat my eyes nor shocking.
The characters are one dimensial. Not much on the character development. The twist and the forbidden aspect resolved too quickly. Without so much drama. Except for few punches.
Overall, an OK read.

⭐️ 5 "Wickedly Hot" Stars ⭐️
I’ve been obsessed with the Voyeur World novels since the first book released. I was really titillated about Liar as age gap is a guilty pleasure trope of mine and the fact that Olivia is the niece of Kent’s best friend added to the intrigue! This couple was sinfully hot and captivating from start to finish! Fiona Cole crafted an exciting and steamy read packed with emotion!
Right from the start, I was enraptured in Liar. Let’s say that Kent and Olivia have such a great chemistry in spite of their age difference and when they meet it's lust at first sight. Kent is the ultimate alpha hero! That man has a commanding presence that I found so alluring and oozes power and sexuality. He tries to deny his raging desire for Olivia, but they only succumb to the temptation in spite of their best resolution to stay away. As much as he’s a very persuasive and sexy man, he doesn’t control Olivia that easily. The girl is so sassy and a little temptress that likes to push him to his limits. Their relationship is intense, passionate and tumultuous! As much as the first half of the novel is very explicit with lots of hot encounters, I loved the progression of their romance into something meaningful. It’s evident they’re into deep!
Their love builds slowly and their intimate moments only get more touching. I enjoyed that Kent stops his player ways and fall so deep for Olivia. He’s really committed to their relationship and it’s exquisite. It doesn’t mean that everything comes easy for them. There’s doubts about how Olivia’s uncle and family will react to their relationship that put some tense moments between them! They just need to trust in they commitment to each other and their love!
I adored this spicy, emotional story so much! I just can’t get enough of this world! It was everything I wanted from Fiona Cole with a great balance between sweet and dirty. After that epilogue, I’m so eager for Daniel and Hanna’s book, Teacher! It will assuredly be another very exciting one.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Well dang! This might be my favorite of the series.
I mean what’s not to like?
Age gap ✔️
Light BDSM play ✔️
A possessive man ✔️✔️
Secrets✔️
I do love secrets. I especially love those ‘oh shit!’ moments when it all comes crashing down.
The steam factor was at an all-time high but once those pesky emotions sinked their teeth in, I was living for everything Kent and Olivia.
I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I will never 100% like Ms. Cole’s heroines. They always drive me nuts at one point or another and Olivia was no exception.
I get it, Uncle Daniel’s opinion means everything and you’re scared about that among other commitment phobias. But come on girl, pull your head out before you lose him. At least she admitted her faults, I’ll give her that.
But in the end my annoyance with her didn’t really effect my overall enjoyment. -
I was really enjoying this book up until Olivia put her relationship with her Uncle Daniel before her love for Kent. I feel that if Daniel hadn’t caught them having sex she would’ve never told him about her relationship with Kent and ended her relationship. Apparently she can’t live without her Uncle and his approval, but she can go on without Kent. This made me feel her love for Kent wasn’t as strong as she portrayed. That left me with a bad taste in my mouth and in the end I feel Kent loves her more. Thats why this book was just ok for me.

9/8/21 Reread. I will be honest. I don’t remember reading this, and I'm sure my memory will come back.
-
Loving someone just out of your reach, been there done that. Loving your uncle’s friend is quite a thrill. I remember obsessing. Fangirling. Unlike Olivia I didn’t end up in a hotel room. Such a rush reading. Very sensual. Loving the journey of Olivia and Kent discovering their love for each other. He was so patient with her, waiting for her to tell the secret while she’s afraid she’s going to let the one man in her life who’s always SEEN her down. Wow. Love. It. -
Fiona Cole knows how to write erotica cause holy moly did I enjoy Olivia and Kent in Liar. Their chemistry is off the charts blazing hot right from the get go. A delicious and sensual age gap romance that starts off as a one night only and turns in to them teasing each other and wanting more. More of one another and more of how the make each other feel.
Olivia is a nineteen year old girl who’s had enough of her cheating boyfriend. She wants a man who’s experienced sexually and knows how to use it. Kent is 38 and has certain tastes when it comes to sex and Olivia is not afraid to try them.
Together they slowly starts to see that this sexual relationship is more than just that. They evolve into more but with that comes fear. Fear of what people will think. Olivia and Kent try to navigate through those struggles. I had such a good time with them. Their scenes are deliciously erotic and held emotions too despite it being rough at times. These two characters surprised me with their strength and hidden layers to their personality. Definitely my favorite from the Voyeur series.

Would I read this again? Yes, if only for the hot parts.
I liked this one. The writing was good & it kept me entertained throughout the whole book. The characters were solid enough & I liked the way they were around each other so much!
Something felt amiss, however. Little details that annoyed me. Like the fact that our nearly 40-year-old hero, Kent, managed to get hard by simply looking at Olivia & the frequency it kept happening was honestly unbelievable for me. And the unnecessary OW/OM drama that was just put in to show us how alpha & jealous Kent could get. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love that. But when it just keeps happening and in a way that the hero or heroine are always conveniently present for it (eye roll) is just stupid.
The last 30% got me really frustrated with Olivia. I liked her though. I always like women that go after their mans & we got plenty of that.
All in all I definitely recommend this for everyone who wants something super steamy, forbidden & low on angst read!
**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review** -
Hated Olivia, she was a bitch. Kent, my baby deserves better. This book had potential and it definitely could've faired better without the "Daniel" drama, it was annoying. Olivia is lucky she's fictional smh🤦🏻♀️

Wtf did i just read, I loved Another by fiona cole so much but this book was such a disappointment. I literally wanted to dnf towards the end. I dont even know how the hero heroine fell in love cuz they met each other, the heroine teased the hero, they had sex and in a week they confessed that they love each other. It was more like they love each others body. i really liked Olivia at the beginning cuz i thought she is smart and really mature for her age but at the end she behaved like a dumb girl which she is. She kept running away from her problems and didnt want to tell her uncle that she is sleeping with his best friend. Like she annoyed me so much, and it seemed like Kent and Olivia were trying to convince themselves that they love each other. It was never love between them, it was just lust. I mean i didnt even feel the connection. I was so disappointed in this book. The sex was hot in the beginning but after 60% everything got boring, the first part was fun to read since Kent tried to ignore his “lust” for olivia and she kept chasing him, but when they confessed that they lust... *cough* *sorry* LOVE each other, the whole book just became idk...eh? It got really boring thats it and there was literally no connection between the two. I cant..ugh

GAHHHHHH.....Alexander Kent is LIFEEEEE. I’m pretty certain this is my favourite book in the series so far.
We’ve met Kent before (he is the co-owner of Voyeur with Daniel, and his bestie) and Olivia we also know from VOYEUR (she is Oaklyns bestie, and Daniels niece) Theirs is a deliciously steamy age-gap romance (approx 20yrs) and it was just absolute perfection. Fiona Cole writes the sexiest Alphas, and Daniel is no exception...but what I truly love is her sassy, strong heroines, and I fell head over heels for Olivia.
I’m so sad that this series is almost at an end, but I know I will reread these books many times. -
Taboo & Steamy
This wasn’t bad if you enjoy taboo hidden age-gap romance. It was steamy. There were some moments that were a little corny and over the top, and felt a little forced to be honest BUT if you’re looking for age gap and like the secret aspects and don’t mind over the top happenings, then you’ll probably enjoy this read. -
Nikki~
Liar by Fiona Cole gives us the steamy story of Olivia and Kent.
Liar is a hot age gap romance that is full of forbidden trysts, and sexy taunting foreplay. Olivia and Kent should not be together, they are at different times in their lives and if caught could ruin family relationships. But there is no denying the chemistry or bond these forbidden lovers share.
Olivia is one of the most genuine female characters I have read in a long time. Some may see her as immature and spoiled but I disagree. I think she is a young woman that has no experience to deal with the feelings Kent brings out. She wants to wrap herself in the passion of their affair but she still holds back to guard her heart. She willingly submits her body to Kent even as she fights her feelings that this is more than sex.
Kent is older so he should know better, especially since his friendship with Daniel is on the line. But when these two come together what seems so wrong feels so right. I love how Kent guided Olivia in their physical play always pushing her boundaries while fighting his inner struggle for Olivia.
I really want more of this series. You should definitely go check out the work of Fiona Cole, excellent writing with charismatic characters! -
5 Stars / 4 Steam Fans
Liar is my second favorite story in the Voyeur series. I LOVED the dynamic between Olivia and Kent. There is so much angst, sexiness, heart, and feeling from start to finish of Liar.

My friends knows that age gap isn't my thing at all...
10 years between the main couple is my hard limit and anything over that gap, I'll just fake dementia, and keep it to 10 anyway. 😂😂😂😂
Soooo age gap isn't my gem, but i can't deny a good taboo and in this one we have uncle's best friend on it's prime!
Kent is a sweetheart outside the bedroom but a hot sex machine behind close doors... Or hallways for that matter.
He's 17 years older than Olivia (but yeah... Let's keep it to 10, because no one wants to imagine a 5 years later epilogue, with saggy balls!)
Olívia was kinda of annoying but i understood her reasons behind wanting to keep their relationship a secret from her uncle Daniel, since he was the one to always support her for her brain, not her looks.
I really loved their first interaction and all their sexcapades, also how Kent was the mature one, trying to bring the truth up with Daniel. Their friendship was definitely goals!
Olivia been the immature one, was expected.
I can't believe that it's only one book left to finish the series!
It's been a real pleasure to listen to it all!

4.5 stars!
first BR with Lana!
i was very excited for this one and dived right into this after reading
Watch With Me and it didn't disappoint! especially bringing out the forbidden aspect in Olivia and Kent's relationship.
i really enjoyed Kent's character as he was literally like an 'all in' guy. he's decisive, he knows that he wants Olivia regardless of their age gaps or the fact that she's basically his best friend's niece. most importantly, he's all about HONESTY! oh, and he's pretty intense too 😍
the only issue was Olivia's character being inconsistent. instead of becoming more mature as the plot develops, she became rather indecisive and slightly selfish..? bringing out excuses like she didn't want to hurt his family, or because of Kent being the guy she's doing intern for, orrr because she's much older than him.. but like isn't she the one that started 'seducing' Kent initially??
however, this was still definitely one of the best forbidden/age gap romance that i'd read. the sexual tension was there. all those stolen glances, secret hookups and flirty banters were done right! and of course, Fiona Cole writes some really delicious filthy sex 🔥🔥
that being said, i can't help but wonder if there will be a club like Voyeur in real life while i was reading lol 🤨
and can i please have a Alexander Kent in my life too 😉 -
I’m a bit disappointed with this book.
I hoped more.
