Because YOU Are Superwoman: How to create a positive birth experience with minimal medical intervention Reviews

This is a very special book. I will be gifting a copy to any friend or family member that is pregnant from now on.
We live in a world where it is acceptable to tell pregnant women traumatic birth stories because it is expected that birth is always traumatic. This is ridiculous!
Women need more empowering stories like the ones in this book so we can be reminded just how capable and incredible our bodies are at creating and birthing life, and doing so with Minimal Medical Intervention!
I love how this book gently reminds us that we are already equipped with everything we need to birth a baby. We just need a bit of help awakening the “superwoman” inside.
Pregnancy and birth can be an emotional rollercoaster. This book is both the emotional and analytical guide you need while pregnant. The M.I. techniques and collection of stories combine beautifully to help you overcome fear and become your own patient advocate.
Knowledge is power! Having these tools in your toolbox will ensure your birth experience is a positive one. Several of the women’s stories recommend classes and books for further labor and parenting support, like Hypnobirthing (my personal favorite).
This book has simple and refreshing advice with a bit of humor thrown in. I found something in each of these women’s stories that I could relate to. I really enjoyed reading the surprising and honest experiences of smart, like-minded women. Read this book! -
Mama you got this
As a mom who had three epidural free births and my last two less medical intervention as possible. It is important to have a birth plan and stick to your guns. Some medical professionals are discouraging and say things like “this is not like the old days.” Your instincts knows what is best for you and your baby. It is also important to have people by your side who respect your birth plan. I read this book because I want to become a birth doula base on my birth experiences. -
Brave for all of these women to share the intimate details of their positive birth stories. Really enjoyed the different perspectives.
