I have liked the Ben 10 animated episodes that I've watched, and the other comics that I've encountered, so I had high hopes for this one. It almost threw me, though, because part of the story requires Ben to be unusually immature, an odd attitude considering what he's been through in the stories up to this point. Still, his prank was of the "mostly harmless" variety, and he did quickly realize that he had to own up to it at some point. The thing is, with his experiences with aliens, mutants, mad scientists and such, it wouldn't seem like people having fun searching for cryptids would be as weird or unusual as he seems to think.
Other than that weakness, the writing was good, it was a fun adventure, and fans of the TV show should like it.
