The Domestic Dominatrix: Tips, Tricks and Thoughts on All Things Femdom Reviews

Female Domination for non-vanilla beginners.
This book is a ''How to'' about the basics of Female Domination aiming at wives whom husbands ask them to introduce Female domination into their marriage/relationship. The tone is gentle, but I feel it details many activities but doesn't cover enough about psychology to be a good introduction for the vanilla wife. I'd say it is best for beginners already sold to the idea of implementing Femdom within their couple.
The author positions herself as a wife who indulged her husband's fantasy out of love and found it benefitted her along the way. The fact that she refers to her own experience helps to present Dominance and Submission in a less threatening way. She covers subjects like Domestic service, Domestic discipline, Chastity. She says she will talk about "Humiliation" later in the book, but it never comes; maybe the missing Chapter Seven explains that? In the last part of the book, she presents short scenes to inspire the readers to perform their roleplay scenarios. Useful comments dealing with various aspects of the power exchange illustrate her points. Those are useful to give a kind of realistic setting for implementing the Dominant/submissive lifestyle, but they also can be detrimental if you don't share the fetish involved.
Miss Lawson does well, exposing that fantasies are not a rational thing; they are not dangerous for the couple. The real danger for the couple's harmony would be to ignore those needs. Many hassle-free domination practices are discussed, helping create a positive environment for both spouses in a non-threatening way. There is a chapter dedicated to husbands, reminding them to remain wife-oriented, to show patience and to be thankful for sharing those new experiences with a loving wife. If kink is excellent to spice life, it does wonder to bring intimacy at higher levels. -
This book by Rebecca Lawson was most informative in its presentation of the idea of female domination to women who are unfamiliar with it or BDSM. I liked how she expanded on the safe, sane consensual idea to include loving and nurturing, which are definitely important too. This book is a great model for women beginners to use as they explore the concept with their men. This is a voluntary review of this book.
