Ahhh this is so freakin cute! And the art style is just so pretty!!! So. Freakin. Pretty. Also, I really liked the characters! I can’t shut up about how cute and good looking everyone is! I loved the romance and the paranormal element (the idea was so intriguing) and how nervous I was about it not having a happy ending! Also I loved that it reminded me a lot of Korean dramas? maybe it’s the plot or how Zelan looked like a Korean pop idol, idk! I just loved it all. The story kept me hooked that I binge read the three seasons in a day!

AAAAAAAHHHHH THIS WAS SO FUN
THE ART WAS AMAZING
THE ROMANCE WAS BEAUTIFUL
THE PLOT-TWISTS WERE SOUL-CRUSHINGTHE CHARACTERS WERE SIMP-WORTHY
there were some plotlines that i felt were left dangling at the end, like what happened to zylith's dad or the repairer (mostly because the urge to punch both of them is VERY strong), but there was enough fan-service at the end that i'm happy.
overall, it was a cute webtoon that i really enjoyed! -
I still doubt whether I should review webtoons or not, but here we go.
First off, the author really likes cliff-hangers (or just driving people insane).
The story starts off with Zylith (mc) looking for a cheap place to rent after getting kicked out by her parents. Unfortunately, her budget is very limited, so the best option she finds is a flat that is supposedly haunted. As she doesn’t have any other doable option, Zylith signs a yearlong contract and moves in. And here’s where the fun begins.
The premise is intriguing, and the heroine spends the first 20 episodes trying to figure out who the mysterious guy she sees is, but the moment they interact the plotline starts meandering.
This was one of the most confusing romantic triangles I’ve seen in a while. The MC has feelings for both the mysterious guy, Zelan, and her childhood bestie, Verose, so there is no proper development in any of those. I personally couldn’t even root for anyone.
Yes, Zelan is ‘hot’ (or we just see him shirtless a lot), but this wasn’t enough for me to like him or root for his relationship with Zylith.
This Webtoon really focuses on the visuals rather than on the story or relationship development.
There were a lot of clichés, as expected.
The mc used to be that typical rich girl, who thought you could buy friends with money, but Verose (her best friend) is an embodiment of the word ‘tomboy’.
Both of them had an unhealthy childhood (abusive parents/pragmatic and despotic parents), so now as gown ups they deal with the consequences of it (learning to trust, pursuing your dreams no matter how ‘’dumb’’ they might appear to others is much harder for the heroines). I truly didn’t expect a webtoon to touch on such serious topics.
At times it was a bit too melodramatic for my taste.
And I really wish the romantic plotline was more coherent.
Nonetheless, it was a fun read, and the art was beautiful.
Also,+rep for diversity (racial diversity, different sexual orientations)
Though, it made me uncomfortable when Zelan (straight) kissed another guy only because Zylith had dared him to do so. :// -

Ok so this webtoons art is really good, but story wise, I like the supernatural part, but I still don't know what the main plot is, if there even is a story. There's no arcs or maybe its just slow paced, but idk how the plot hasn't started if were already on episode 30 and the author said it would finish around 70-80. Zylith is trying to write a webtoon about romance, but I feel like its kinda boring? Additionally the author is trying to portray her as an edgy mc that aren't like "other girls" but honestly she is a bit slow and I feel like there's no character behind her. Zelan reminds of of jung from Cheese in the trap, we know he's not as sweet as he looks.... but that's it, there's no backstory yet, so I guess my main complaint is I don't see any story really

OK so this webtoon just finished! Honestly at this point the only reason I was reading this was for the art. And lets just say it was painful to read. The ending had some of the most cringiest dialogues I have ever read on Webtoon. Like seriously every few speech bubbles Zyltih calls Zelan stuff like “my seaweed softboi”. Like what?
Zylith was honestly so bland, and unfunny. The author’s definition of humour is to draw a “funny” face and put some really cringey slang as dialogue. I’m surprised the Author said that humour was one of their strong points. Zylith wasn’t anything thing special, there was no explanation behind her reasoning other than “Oooh she doesn’t know what love is!”
Zelan was portrayed by the author as a yandere in certain panels, but than never expanded more on that. At this point he was just there as fan service, where there were so many panels of him being shirtless that were unnecessary. It was never explained either what drove him to do music, what his motivations were, and how he succesful. (Unless it was explained, but it was just so utterly boring that i forgot?) Just like how a lot of parts in this webtoon weren’t developed. The world building, the extra characters, even the romance were all just so bland and uninteresting. Like ohhhh Zylith meets a guy and they know each other for 1 month and bang the last episode is just them railing each other.
This probably had one of the worst endings, you could tell the Author just wanted to end it. Overall this webtoon is just about a quirky girl who doesn’t know what love is that meets someone from a different dimension and than BOOM cringey dialogue and scenes of those two.
For me this went from a 3 star, to a 1 star. A 3 star at the start is me being nice. -

I like the premise, but the characters are just... meh. I wish they would've done something more with how they can see and communicate with each other idea, that's the only reason why it's 2 stars and not 1, lol. A lot of romance webtoons are like this. They will insist that they're ROMANCE. But in the end, they only have some cliché writing with forgettable characters and little to no actual development between the main character and supposed lover.

Scrolling through the WebToons app, I was looking for something to read. As I searched, 'Freaking Romance' by Snailords that completely caught my eye.
The artwork is just so stunning. The writing has way too many twists, those were really delicious *chefs kiss*. The way it was switching POV’s, is really thrilling and addictive. It easily captures the attention of the readers with its unique characters and intriguing dialogue. I may have died from softness, this has to be the most adorable story ever!!! But those cliff hangers AAGGGHHH!!! You can't put it down from your hand if once start to read!!!
There are two gorgeous OST of this webtoon that will melt your heart-

I loved each character, except for Zylith's dad, but... AHHHH VEROSE! I LOVE YOU! She gives me a massive Moonbyul vibe! I wish I could hug you right now. So many emotions, I can't handle the pain. I'm glad everything turned out well, but oh my Verose...
If you love fluffy rom-com, 'Freaking Romance' may just steal your heart. -
This was pretty cute.
Zylith is an artist, trying to make it on her own out in the world. At 18, she has little money, and the only apartment she can afford is allegedly haunted. During a tour of the place she sees a super hot ghost and is like, "yep, I'll take it."
She starts seeing this guy around all the time, but he can't seem to hear or see her. Or can he 👀👀
This is a story about interdimensional love.
It is v cute.
I will say for me personally I don't really go for "soft" guys, but I still thought that Zalen was decent to look at. I think if the art was slightly more my taste and the romance wasn't so drawn out, I would probably have given it a 5, but overall, not an unpleasant read. (: -

I am not into romance novels, but this one has this fantastical element of parallel universes which makes the webtoon very intriguing. The two characters are from very different worlds, but they can see each other in a very specific house. They can't touch each other, when they do, the other vanishes. There's a lot of mystery behind the characters as well apart from the plot itself. It's unravelling layer after layer.

This Webtoon felt all over the place. The tone goes from overly serious to melodramatically cliche romance to borderline-cringe comedy. The premise was so interesting at first and had me hooked + the art was stunning… but the plot and story development is not there. A lot of the characters’ behaviors didn't add up and the character development and progression was not subtle enough to feel like it was done well. Zelan and Zylith’s love story feels very forced + the plot twists are shocking but they come out of nowhere (don’t follow the theme of the story) + just felt like an overall mess at the end.
I think the creator definitely has skill in art and thinking up story ideas, but the storytelling is too lacking. There's too much reliance on Wattpad-like cliches and facebook-type-humor (if that makes sense lmao) to try and sell the story to the readers. It's honestly a shame considering how the first few chapters were excellent and then... you could see the effort completely disappear.
I don't really recommend this Webtoon considering the wide variety of stories available on the platform, so if you're looking for a sign to skip, this is it. -

- more plain lust than actual romance (it's just fanservice and flirtatious jokes while no actual romance is being built between the two leads)
- the characters don't act like actual believable people, they talk they're awkwardly reading a script rather than having a casual conversation
- dramatic events + supernatural events happen in the story and everyone around the main characters seem to react to them realistically until, only hours later, going back to normally going about their days (actions in the story feel as though they have no real weight to anything beyond the main characters)
pros
- good build-up to certain mini "twists"
- the supernatural element of the story is well incorporated into the world and characters -
Me gusta mucho el dibujo, el que sea en color es un plus, y la historia es bastante diferente a lo que he leído hasta ahora en los mangas. Este primer volumen conocemos a los tres personajes principales y se nos presenta la situación paranormal en la que se ven inmersos. A ver qué nos deparan los siguientes.

This definitely got me reading all 3 seasons in one night. I found this webtoon extremely addicting. The art was perfect, the plot was engaging, the romance... oh man!!! I loved it. So, i am one of those people who despises love triangles - yet, I didn't mind that freaking romance has one because I was rooting for all three of them to be happy. Jeez. First season was just a teaser for the other two seasons that were equally as entertaining as this one.
PS: Zelan is perfect. He is the sweetest creampuff ever. He is mine. -
