Barron's AP Psychology Reviews

If you plan on purchasing a review book for AP Psychology, buy Barron's. I highly recommend it.

This book has everything. Beautifully concise yet all-encompassing reviews for each section of psychology, a diagnostic test and two more wonderful practice tests, multiple-choice questions to practice with after each section, practice essay prompts, and the names of important individuals you need to know. I'm pretty sure that if someone went through this book and studied it thoroughly, they could score a 5 on the AP Psychology exam without even enrolling in the actual course.

Also, this is the only AP book I'm keeping, out of the five I've utilized thus far. It is just so magnificently organized and contains a wealth of useful information. I'm sure I will reference it in the future as I continue to study psychology and discuss it with my friends.

For the sake of reader awareness, I scored a 5 on the AP exam. I contribute a hefty amount of my score to this book.

This book caused me trauma even Sigmund Freud and his stupid fucking oedipus complex couldn’t explain. The least it could do is add to my Goodreads goal!

Really good for AP psych test, and so aren't the cards you can get on Amazon. Very helpful in a sense where after a chapter, it will go over the things you need to know in bullet points and have small quizzes after each module. Which are very beneficial. I enjoyed this book both for my needs and educational purposes.

was pretty good, perhaps because it was paired with the sinister, god-forbidden devil that is ap chem.

either way it was more work so I refuse to condone it

A good study book, but I would recommend just watching YouTube videos before the test (if it is online every again). If it isn't online, then buy one of these books and underline the heck out of it.

This book is EXTREMELY helpful. It's organized well, definitions/explanations aren't confusing in the slightest, and there are usually examples. The author even says "I" at times when using examples from his own life. I actually found myself laughing at some of his examples when defining the multiple approach-avoidance conflict: "In these, you choose between two or more things, each of which has both desirable and undesirable features [...] University C has the best psychology department (hopefully one of your favorite subjects!), but you visit the campus and find it less than attractive" (177). He also might repeat a term's definitions in another relevant chapter just in case you aren't studying the chapters in order. This book is great! :)

My psychology teacher told me that the Princeton review psychology book had many errors within it. So, I bought Barron's instead. I was very satisfied with this book as it covered all the topics needed for the AP exam. It really helped me review for the exam and beyond. I recommend this book for review for the AP psychology test and/or review after you have taken the course.
(I got the 7th edition, by the way.)

Had AP Psychology as an online class -- didn't learn nearly enough to get a decent score that way.
Read the whole Barron's book the week prior to the AP exam, and it was good enough to get me that five on the exam.
    Barron's is my favourite.

I used this to prepare for the 2015 Psych exam and it was a huge help. It goes into excessive detail in some spots, but at the very least, it covers all your bases. Easily earned a 5 on my simulations and the actual exam with my sole review being this book.

good review of psych, covers a lot in easy to digest chapters.

    THANK YOU BARRON'S REVIEW.

I'm not going to rate this review book yet because I'm not sure how well it actually is preparing me for the AP exam so... but in content, it's pretty good at explaining a lot of the terms, and the examples are helpful.
