I’m not leaving your side, Memphis. You are my home, Angel, so where you are, is where I want to be.”

CREED

Creed Stephens lost his heart when his wife died in an accident that also took the life of his unborn child. He threw himself into his job as a trained sniper, no longer caring about anything other than his team. After one disastrous mission, which left him broken and battered, he entered the real world again. Creed lived only for his club and his position as its road captain. Love was something Creed never wanted to feel again. He knew loss and drowned in it every single day—at least, that was until a brown-haired, sweet, and stubborn goddess insisted on reminding him that loss wasn’t a reason to stop living.

MEMPHIS

Memphis Van Elsen had experienced far too much loss in her young life. She lost her parents, her sister, and her sight. The one person she had left was the only person she loved, the only person she wanted. But how could she compete with a ghost? Did she want to? All she knew was that the deep, aching love she felt for her former brother-in-law made her wish for things she shouldn’t. When a chain of events forced them together, would Memphis be able to make Creed see she can be the one for him, the one to make him smile again? Or would Rogue rip her heart’s desire away from her before she ever got the chance?

His Angel (Wounded Souls #5) Reviews

    What do you do when you read a romance novel and the woman you really wished had been the heroine, was the H's dead wife ?

    How do you rate a novel when you love both MC's separately but believe that they're not meant to be together ?

    This novel had a wonderful H in Creed:

    1. He was hot, sexy, handsome, kind, sweet, chivalrous and not a manwhore ! He'd only slept with one woman in his entire life and that lucky lady had been his dead wife, Lila Rose;

    2. He was the strong, broody silent alpha male type;

    3. He was loyal to his club but was strong minded enough to abstain from the clubwhores and the seedy side of club life, because he didn't have anything to prove to anybody;

    4. He was so secure in his masculinity that he didn't resort to banging lots of other women to prove that his dick was still able to function;

    5. He was the rare alpha male H who didn't embrace that dumb old cliched trope of the tortured man, drowning himself in vaginas in order to cope with his wife's death. That's because he was still in love with his dead wife and in his mind, love equals fidelity.

    But, at the same time, he was a man in pain; a silent man, who never laughed or smiled and rarely engaged in any festive occasions.

    This is the H, Creed:

    He'd had the perfect life with his wife and first love, Lila Rose. They'd fallen in love when they were both 14 years old and had gotten married years later when they came of age. Lila Rose had been pregnant with their first child when the villain, Rogue, had caused a deliberate road accident, leading to her death.

    After Lila's death, Creed was inconsolable.

    I listen to music while I read and I can't help but think that Audioslave's epic song Like A Stone sums up Creed's attitude to life after Lila's death:

    In your house, I long to be
    Room by room, patiently
    I'll wait for you there, like a stone
    I'll wait for you there, alone, alone

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QU1n...

    I would've enjoyed this book a lot more if the author had removed the early scenes between Lila and Creed. Don't worry: those scenes didn't include any sex ! Those scenes showed just how much he'd loved her and, more importantly, proved that she was a wonderful woman.

    That caused a lot of difficulty for me because I don't wanna "like" his dead wife ! I almost wish the author had written Lila as a horrible or unlikable character. How can the author expect me not to mourn the death of a woman who had all the qualities to be a heroine ? At many times in this novel, I kept wondering why the author had decided to kill off such a good character.

    It seemed as if Creed had already found his one true love with Lila and I kept feeling as if he was betraying her when he married Memphis ( the heroine ), who was also her younger sister. Don't misunderstand me: I loved Memphis !

    Memphis was an awesome and endearing heroine. She was 10 years younger than Creed and she was also blind. Her late parents had been hippies who hadn't taken her to the doctor when she'd started to have vision problems. It had been Creed and her sister Lila who'd taken her into their home, cared for her and helped her to cope with her blindness.

    This is the heroine, Memphis:

    Memphis had always had a crush on Creed, even when he was married to her sister Lila. But she was a loyal sister and never allowed her feelings to show. And, if Lila had been alive, Memphis would've continued to hide her true feelings for her brother in law.

    Nevertheless, I was still a little uncomfortable with the idea that the heroine had been in love with Creed even while her sister had been alive. It makes a woman want to take a second or third close look at all her single female relatives whenever they're around her husband ! LOL.

    In this novel, Creed and Memphis get married because of a clause in the heroine's grandparents' will: if Memphis fails to get married and have a baby within a stipulated time limit, she will lose her bookshop and her little cottage.

    The main conflict in the MC's relationship begins when Creed finds himself attracted to Memphis and is filled with guilt for lusting after his dead wife's baby sister. It doesn't help matters that the heroine closely resembles his dead wife !

    I wish the author had not done that; it would've made more sense for Memphis to have a totally different physical appearance from Lila. That's a major reason why I had wanted the author to pair up Creed with Mia, the heroine from
    His Beauty. A part of me feels that the author chose to go down the route of OTT sibling angst drama in this series, rather than to opt for more tasteful MC pairings.

    In this novel, the villain Rogue is finally killed ! Rogue had brought so much tragedy to this club and I'd been shocked to discover that he was Booth's ( the H from
    His Honey ) legal ( not biological dad ). At the end of this story, Booth ( as the President of the club ) ends Rogue's reign of terror by killing him in hand-to-hand combat.

    The club didn't escape unscathed, though. Darth, Dundee and Vegas were killed. Memphis and Creed had their HEA and I believed that the H had truly fallen in love with the heroine at the end. He didn't see her as second best and he was able to recognize that his feelings of love for her were those of a man - more intense and visceral. He also acknowledged that his love for Lila had been those of boy - a more innocent and pure type of love.

    The author ends the book with a series of mini epilogues, giving the reader glimpses into the life of the other MC's in the previous novels. All couples are now parents of cute babies - including Creed and Memphis, who are parents of a little baby boy. It was also great to see that Memphis was a published author of romance novels - she was quite skilled with her braille typewriter.

    I didn't read
    His Lady because the heroine in that book had been a former clubwhore turned stripper, who'd also engaged in menage fmf sex with her H Mannix. It had been implied, in other novels, that she'd only done it to make her man happy. That kind of thing has no appeal to me so that's why I gave that novel a pass...

    Safety: No cheating, no OW, no OM, the H was not a manwhore.

  • Janie

    This book turned out to be an amazing read. The bonus epilogues of all of the couples were the icing on an already tasty cake. In the beginning of this one, I did not have warm, fuzzy feelings towards Creed. By the end though, I truly believed in his love for Memphis. The secondary characters definitely added to the story. This author actually made me cry while reading this one and that’s not easy to do but I’ve loved this group of characters since book 1. Can’t wait to see what Leah Sharelle has in store for us next.

  • Rejane

    Personal preference: I don’t like, actually, I feel disgusted, when a man have a love/sexual relationship with sisters. . Specially if hero was married to one. And it also doesn’t matter the wife died. She still was a sister. That status doesn’t die with the dead sibling. And hero and deceased wife took in wife’s sister when she was young because she was going blind, so they took care/watch over her. That’s not acceptable for the hero to have a love relationship with the alive sister. It makes it disturbing and disgusting.

    3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK, or decent reads.
    ==========================
    Here we have another story of a hero shared by sisters. Family sharing dick / pussy again.
    Our hero is a widower and his wife died in an accident caused by our favorite villain.
    Our heroine is the sister of his late wife. He keeps her separate from his life in the club, the other members are unaware of her existence.
    When our villain makes a threat to her life, he seeks her to protect her in the club.
    The two get married in an arranged marriage. I think it was an easy way out that the author used to make the hero be forced to move his life forward. Otherwise I can not imagine he would freely do it.
    Our heroine is blind and she is also in love with the hero from afar. She was always in love with him, even when married to her sister.
    It is painful to see his inner struggle to move on. He thinks he's cheating on his deceased wife every time he has sex with our heroine.
    The villain continues to attack and cause more losses to the club.
    I liked the series and will keep an eye on the author's future work.

    My weakness was my wife, and if she wanted it, she got it—no questions. I had a hard time saying no to her. We had been together since we were fourteen, and we lost our virginity to each other. There was no one else for me and never ever would be.

    It worried me that my feelings for Memphis were starting to change, I found myself thinking about her more when I wasn’t with her. Those thoughts weren’t ones I should have about my sister-in-law.

    The weight of the gold band on my finger made me feel nothing but guilt. I was betraying my wife, her memory, her love, our vows to forsake all others until death do us part.

    This would be our first kiss as husband and wife, but I had to disappoint her, though. I leant down and brushed my lips across her soft cheek.

    Me marrying Memphis was just to help her out, nothing more, nothing less. I had no intentions of getting married for love ever again, so marrying for convenience so Memphis could hold onto her grandparents’ home was the least I could do.

    Creed was ashamed of me. For the five years, he had been part of this club, and he hadn’t mentioned me once, at least that much was obvious. This was a huge mistake.

    Lila Rose was the only woman I’d ever had sex with.

    Mia was the closest I came to cheating on my dead wife, and I couldn’t do it.

    “You mean Creed is drinking up some liquid courage before he has to impregnate his blind wife, who is also the sister of the woman he is in love...

    I just cheated on Lila Rose with my wife—her sister.

    He cared, liked, and was happy with me, but he didn’t love me.

    It was our second time making love when I realised mine wasn’t the only wedding band on his finger. He had me so lost in passion as he loved on my body that I almost missed it—almost.

    He had no idea that I also knew he wept quietly after we made love. He made no sound, so no sobs gave him away, just the small shaking movements of his body as he laid facing away from me.

    He believed he was cheating on Lila despite us being married.

    My heart belonged to Lila Rose, my body to Memphis.

    Creed thought enough about Mia that he considered being with another woman again, willingly wanted to be with her, not forced to like he had to with me.

    2 stars

    The widower trope brought me here but unfortunately it was not enough to make this a satisfactory read. This is my 2nd book by this author, and though I felt let down by
    His Beauty, I figured that I should give more chances for another book esp. when the blurb looked promising. The overall idea was good but the execution was underwhelming for me.

    I think the main problem was that the characters were too shallow and their behaviours not properly psychologically supported. The H, Creed had so much inner angst at the beginning for marrying his ex-sister-in-law that his sudden powerful love for the h did not make sense. Meanwhile, the h, Memphis, at no moment showed any angst towards getting together with her sister's widower - again not believable. The only angst she showed was feeling insecure and being a drama queen about Creed not loving her as she expected him to (as a result she came across as immature and selfish in those moments) - which hardly made sense when they were in a MoC in the first place (the reasons for that MoC were btw so ott and worthy of HP-landia)!! Since it is romantic fiction, I was prepared to try to believe into all that nonsense IF only the motives and inner struggles of each character had been thoroughly thrashed out - which you guessed it was not the case. Add to that a writing style that lacked finesse, and it all made for a meh read.

    *sigh* I liked the small world the author was trying to create but unfortunately, just like for
    His Beauty the good ideas got lost in weak editing.

    First off, let's say this is a new series and author for us, and we have to say that we loved the first book in this new amazing series and every book that came after.

    We enjoyed this story and we think the author did an incredible job tying up all those loose ends but, what we loved the most were the Bonus Scenes, it was such a nice touch and just the perfect way to end the series. We loved the fact that the story had me crying from almost the very beginning of the story and throughout it, and this story definitely touched my heart and emotionally engaged it to the very end.

    Even though this is Memphis and Creed's story, we think it's important to include Darth in our thoughts, as he played a very important part in this series from day one. Darth was a big part of Shiloh's life, and she was in his. We loved them together as they both brought us so many laughs. We loved how in love he was with this little biker princess as Darth was her father figure, protector as well as her bestie forever. Not only that, but we loved the big guy from the moment we met him. Darth, we are going to miss you! "You brought us tons of laughs."

    ~Shiloh from His Sweetness~

    Quote- "Miss Char this is my bodyguard Darth," Shiloh introduced the large man."

    Shiloh and Darth's shared moments from His Sweetness

    Quotes- “She is having a timeout."
    "How long?" "Ten minutes"

    "Let me say, she was not happy about it. Turned on the waterworks, then stomped off, shouting at Darth. So…” He stopped the telling of the story to laugh. “So?” I prompted. “So, she gave Darth a timeout, too,” Charlie finished, laughing, too.

    “Darf! Be gentle with princesses,” Shiloh scolded the large man, who had the decency to look contrite.

    Darth reached over to end the call. “I’ll be fu**** if I am getting a timeout for this shit. Hear me, Squirt?”

    “Kay, Darf. I lub you.” She hiccuped.

    “Back at ya, Squirt.”

    ~From His Angel -Darth to Shiloh~

    Quote-"The day you were born was the day I found out what real love was."

    I loved the little things they did together whether they were having fun together, watching Tour of Duty, or being timed out together to fill the swear jar because neither could control their cursing, and they were always thick as thieves. LOL, I loved when she introduced him as her bodyguard and called him Darf along with all the other nicknames she came up with. She loved him fiercely, as he did her.

    Vegas brought us tons of laughs as well, and we were happy that she was part of their little flock of women because girl you made things interesting, that is for sure. Vegas, you broke my heart almost from page one, you had me shredding tears that came like waterworks. I have to say we were sorry we didn't get to know you better but, one thing we knew for sure is how much you loved Darth and Shiloh and how you touched both their hearts from your presence alone.

    I loved getting to know Memphis. Not only that, but I found her to be funny, feisty, independent and had one heck of a backbone. I loved how she loved life to the fullest. I loved how her disability never seemed to burn her. Furthermore, I love how deeply she loved Creed, even if she kept that little TID bit to herself. I loved that she was the perfect person to bring Creed out of his shell." Girl, you were all about making miracles." We loved seeing the new and improved Creed.

    I loved the story as it kept you on an emotional roller-coaster the whole time, and at one point I just got up and got a box of tissues to keep by my side. The story brought challenges, healing, drama, laughs, and cries, but, also joy as well as sorrow. The perfect mix of all things to keep you engrossed in the pages to the very end.

    Creed- I have always had a soft spot for them, and we loved seeing him happy for the first time and reemerge into the light again. I loved that he allowed himself to love again.

    We loved the happy Creed the best!

    I loved the chemistry that Creed and Memphis shared but, also the bond they shared. Their story was complicated as they shared and past and their entire relationship now always has a ghost between them but, once Creed lets go of his past, we get to see the real sexy alpha and fun-loving Creed he was once and things started heating up mighty quick. Holy Hotness!

    One of the most touching moments in the story was Creeds and Shiloh's intimate moment.

    (Shiloh's secret wish from book one.)

    “Creed, what’s wrong? Why is Shiloh crying?”

    "She’s crying because she just saw her uncle smile for the first time in her life."

    Creed's thoughts on Memphis

    “You are so fuc**** beautiful, Memph. So sweet and so perfect.”

    “Those little moans you make drive me fuc***g wild, Angel, have I told you that?”

    "Oh, Jesus, woman, you undo me,” Creed whispered."

    I loved what this club stood for and the members who were part of the MC club. We often take for granted the sacrifices our soldiers make for us to keep us safe and the** they go through and the long-term effects they have to live with. For me, I am eternally grateful for all they do to keep us safe. This club was created for a team of ex-military soldiers and the men they served with. I loved the support system that this club had for every member as well as the former soldiers to come, it was a place for them to feel like they belonged and had a purpose. What I loved most though as they had the right people to cope with the nightmares, PTSD, mood swings, etc. to help them make it through the day. This was such a touching story that it touched your heart and is not a story that you would forget anytime soon.

    Final thoughts- I am sorry to see this series end. I loved the entire series, and we will miss the characters most of all. Every story was funny as well as emotional, and we loved seeing all those hardened wounded soldiers fall in love. When those soldiers fell, they fell hard. Their journeys to get there were not easy ones but, all worth it in the end. I loved seeing all the club members happy and in love, and we were glad to be part of the journey to get there.

    This series goes into the keeper pile, and we will be re-reading this series time and time again.

    Awesome read! Recommended read to All!

    First off let's say this is a new series and author for us and we have to say that we loved the first book in this new amazing series and every book that came after.

    Quote-“Do you know how long it has been since I had a nightmare?” My voice was low and quiet. “The day I met Charlie, all the nightmares stopped, as did the hot flushes at night, and the waking up screaming.”

    We loved all the characters this story had whether it was an MC member, or all the future old ladies to come but, we had a real soft spot in my heart for Shiloh.

    We loved Deck & Charlotte's/Teach/Charlie's story as no couple could be further opposites. Charlie a Pre-School helper/Dance Teacher and Deck the Ex-Soldier who was a bad a**.We loved them together they were the perfect mix of hard and soft.

    Omg! This couple burned up the sheets! Charlie/Teach had a little bit of kink to her and when she let her freak out Holy Hotness!

    Quote-“It’s good you like it, Sweetness,” he said, his voice a deep rumble while his gaze demanded my attention. I could not look away even if I’d wanted to. “It’s going to happen a lot more, Charlie.

    We loved Teach from the moment we met her. She was so sweet, kind, loving, and a breath of fresh air. Teach has a heart of gold and she was beautiful on the outside as well as within.

    Deck- We loved him from page one. I loved his caveman ways(lol), We loved his possessiveness, his bada**ary as well as the way he joked with his brothers but, most of all I loved the devotion and love he had for his daughter Shiloh.

    Quote-“A man so deep in love with his daughter his heart made a choice that at the time made perfect sense. Shiloh will always come first. And I don’t think you or anyone else should ever expect any different. If you do, well, then shame on you.”

    In this story and the stories to come, you will see that Shiloh plays an important part in every story. We loved that this girl was a savior and bright light to a bunch of broken soldiers and she was their saving grace in so many ways for these wounded soldiers.
    "Just Heart melting!" and "Oh so funny!"

    The story was filled with so much love as well as brought us tons of laughs especially when all the girls got together and then all He** broke loose.
    LOL

    We loved the suspense but, most of all we loved the amazing characters that the story had for us to enjoy and fall in love with.

    We loved the story so much we could go on about all the things we loved about it forever. We will also say that this author has now made it to my top favorite MC author and we hope that she creates another MC series for us to love and perhaps a series that will continue with the children of the club members.

    Some favorite quotes

    "At three, Shiloh was the ultimate biker princess. From the top of her curly raven hair to her size two sh**kickers. There was never more of a daddy’s girl than my Shiloh."

    “Hey, Sweetness?” As I looked away from Shiloh and Darth, my gaze immediately found the steely gaze of the handsome father. “There ain’t no need to be looking at Darth.”“Yes, you were, and it’s not on. You belong to me, sweet Charlie.”

    “So, are you my boyfriend, and I’m your girlfriend?” Even as I said the words, I felt like an idiot. “You’re my woman, Charlie, and I’m your man.

    “Daddy, look, watch me burning effing rubber,” Shiloh called out as she did her best to get the plastic wheels to do a burnout. Fuc**** Darth.

    “I like that you touch me all the time. Like you can’t go without touching me.”

    A personal note: This is a series that needs to be read in order and although the story does not end on a cliffhanger all the books are connected by one common thread and are an ongoing story to the conclusion of the series. We read the series all at once and I am glad I did because the moment I finished one book I started onto the next. Deck & Charlotte Story ok we started on the next.

    This was a great story. I loved it. It does have a dead spouse, but it was great. It was a heartbreaking addition, but everything came together and there are bonus scenes at the end where we see all the babies from each couple. It is definitely worth a read. Leah Sharelle can take a hero that you are iffy on and turn him into a great hero.

    description
    Creed and Memphis. My heart has hurt for Creed for a long time. He was so happy with his wife, and baby on the way, until that happy was torn from him. A horrible event that took them away from him. He's filled his life with helping his brothers hunt down Rogue. He secretly takes care of his blind sister-in-law, until she too is threatened. Now he'll do anything in his power to protect her from evil.

    Memphis hasn't had an easy life. Mistreated by her parents, she was taken care of by her sister and Creed since she went blind. Now he's all she has. She's loved him since she was fourteen years old, but her sister held his heart. She can't compete now with a ghost, but she needs his help.
    Omg this book threw me so hard. So many things happened and it was difficult to keep my emotions in check. Memphis was strong, she had to be. There are things in life though that will break even the strongest. I loved Creed, and I wanted more than anything for him to be able to fully move on from losing his wife. I was enthralled by his story and watching him change and open up to Memphis. She was amazing for him and the sweetest thing.

    This was a great way to end the series, although I could have done without one part. That one event wrecked me, especially the effect it had on the others. This is definitely a series I'd recommend, each and every book. I give it 4.5 stars!

    I don’t even know where to start. I hate to see this series end but boy has it been one fun ride.

    Creed hasn’t fully lived since his wife died. Now that her sister is in the path of of the rouge, Creed knows what he must do. Memphis is a stunning character. She is strong but knows exactly when she needs to learns on someone. The storyline for this book was fabulous and I won’t be giving away anything with this review. Just know, you don’t want to miss this book or the entire series for that matter. Awesome writing.

    ~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
    With Rogue still out there and targeting all the women of the Wounded Souls MC, them burying Vegas and trying to keep Darth from drowning himself in his grief the last thing they needed was a surprise from Creed. Creed walks in with a beautiful woman holding his hand and he introduces him as his wife. Creed lost his wife Lila Rose when Rogue targeted him and he has never recovered. Memphis is Lila Rose's baby sister and due to unforeseen circumstances they have to marry and other things. With Memphis being vulnerable and Creed blind to her feelings for him, will they find a way to be with each other. Even when Rogue comes calling again and puts his sights on Memphis and Creed is determined not to lose her no matter what. What a finish, I truly hope that Leah Sharelle continues this series down the road. I have loved this series since I first opened His Sweetness. Each story is riveting, heart wrenching, hot, sexy and surprising. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
    Freaking Phenomenal end to the series. The author has touched my heart with each and every one of the Wounded Souls stories, especially His Angel. The author truly outdid herself with this one. I am not sure if it was because it was the last of the series and I knew the club’s torment would be coming to a close or if it was the way the events played out (sorry no spoilers from me) or if it was the fact Creed had been through so much, but His Angel turn out to be pure perfection in my humble opinion. I am very sad to see the series end but I look forward to what Ms. Sharelle gives us next.
    Years ago, Creed lost his wife Lila Rose and his unborn child due to a motorcycle wreck. But as the prior book ended we learned “Rogue” was the cause of their deaths, the first of all the deaths and heartache he would cause the club. But that tragedy took its toll on Creed. A large part of him died that day and he closed his heart off to ever being happy again. But it seemed the world was working against him. Outside forces were not only forcing him and his former sister-in-law together, Rogue was also threatened her life, something Creed couldn’t bare.
    Memphis had loved Creed since she was a young girl. He was always there for her, even when she was losing her eyesight and even after her married her sister. Determined to make the best of their situation, Memphis wants nothing more than to make Creed happy again. But can she? Will he ever let her in or will she always be in her dead sister’s shadow?
    This is an amazing story that will having you laughing one minute and reaching for the tissues the next. It’s sexy, tender, heartfelt and heartbreaking all rolled up into one amazing book. The love these men have for their women, the lengths they go to in order to keep the women safe and protect what’s theirs is extraordinary. This is one of the Best series this reader has read in 2018 and I offer you 2 Thumbs up for an awesome 5 star read in a 5 star series (if I could I’d offer all the books in the series 10+ stars - they are just that dang good).
    Memphis Van Elsen knew Creed Stephens loved her sister like no other and when she died with his unborn child it destroyed him. Creed has watched over Memphis and even though Memphis has been in love with him for years, she knows the feelings will never be returned. However, now Memphis finds herself married to Creed in order to keep her home per a condition of a will, she feels she is asking too much of him.
    Creed has every plan to be Memphis's husband and not only in name only, but the feelings he has stirring within have him feeling like he is betraying his first wife. Can Creed finally move on and what about the threat that has been targeting his club will he be able to protect Memphis?
    This was my favorite so far in this series. Tear jerker and filled with a ton of emotions. I thought the way the author wrote Memphis was perfect, it was filled with emotion and feeling lost. I have been waiting on Creeds story to see where it would lead and this was beyond what I had hoped. Excellet read.
    Love this series!!!!!!!! So glad that Creed and Memphis got their HEA !!!!!!
    "His Angel" will pull at your heartstrings and keep you cheering for the H/h as they truly find that love was always there! Also, the previous couples, lil' Shiloh and those pets are what makes this series work. Oh and the antagonist, Jerry aka Rogue... my goodness was he demented and his demise was a long time coming! Epilogues were at its finest to include individualized stories of all the couples!!!!!
    Gut-wrenching moment: "Her declaration humbled me. I opened my mouth to speak, but I couldn’t put the words together. I remembered that morning. Lila Rose and I had slept late, enjoying being together before I had to deploy again. We had gone down to the kitchen to find Memphis at the kitchen table. She never looked at us when we walked in, nor gave us her usual cheerful greeting. She just smiled sadly and told us her sight was gone. Just like that. No tears or tantrums, just a sad smile and a shrug of her shoulders." -Creed
    Bring on Ford and Lucky's story. There are so many layers with Ford and Lucky!
    Really sweet ending for the main guys
    I enjoyed this book and thought it was good series ending. I never felt like Memphis was a substitute for her sister and really believe Creed loved her.I especially loved the epilouges about each couple. Even though their gone, I wish that they had one for Darth and Vegas together looking down on everyone. It just breaks my heart that Darth never had a chance to make it right with Vegas but I guess that's life. All in all a good solid series and I would recommend.
    Title: His Angel, Wounded Souls #5
    Author: Leah Sharelle
    Genre: MC, Contemporary Romance
    Rating: 5/5
    Ms Sharelle is back with the 5th book in her Wounded Souls series, this time the focus is on the clubs Road Captain, Creed.
    Creed had been living life in the shadows after the death of his wife/childhood sweetheart who died whilst carrying their unborn child in a tragic accident, now it’s his MC brothers, their significant others and the clubs princess Shiloh who keep him going from day to day they’re his family, he may think he’s incapable of love and that his heart’s closed off but his actions speak louder than words. There is something missing in his life and when that "something" is in the forefront of the troublesome Rouge’s reign of terror Creed realises what’s been in front of him all along.
    Memphis is a strong, independent, self-sufficient young woman, she’d lost both her parents (if you could even call them parents) and her only sibling however she’d carved out a decent enough life for herself considering the fact that thanks to her parents neglect as a youngster she’d been left permanently blind. Just like Creed there’s also something missing in her life, she wants to love and be loved unconditionally.
    When circumstances put Creed and Memphis together in a way they never expected and in the path of Rogue we get to witness how their relationship changes from friends to lovers, it’s a beautiful emotional story of second chances, new beginnings and HEA’s.
    When I said that this was an emotional story what I really meant was this is a gut-wrenching, snot faced emotional tearjerker of a story, my heart broke, reconstructed then broke all over again but the overhaul it went through made everything more meaningful in the end.
    His Angel can be read as a stand-alone as the story focuses on Creed and Memphis and their developing relationship however I highly recommend reading the previous books in the series as there’s an ongoing theme throughout them which adds to the storyline.
    Ms Sharelle has done an amazing job in bringing us this brilliant series, making us feel part of the Wounded Souls family, great characters especially Shiloh the star of the WSMC, laughter and tears made this and all the others thoroughly enjoyable reads and Sharelle surpassed herself with the epilogue/epilogues I was grinning like a Chesire Cat. I really can’t wait to see what this author will bring us next, will it be MC or something different? I’m excited to see what’s in-store.
    A well deserved 5 star read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
    I will try my best to express my feelings for this book, without giving anything away! Be prepared! You will need copious amounts of tissues at hand before even starting this book! The 5th book in the Wounded Souls MC series focuses on Creed, the Road Captain.
    Creed had an amazing life. Married to his only love, who had been his since he was 14, happy beyond words. Until, suddenly, he wasn't. Life after his wife and unborn child are gone is like living a shadow of a life. He isn't really living, only existing, day to day. The only bright spot is a little girl, brought into his life by one of his MC brothers, that holds the heart of each man in their eclectic family.
    Memphis had a rotten childhood. Uncaring, oblivious parents left her permanently blind at a young age. She lost her parents (horrible as they were) and her only sister. Despite her disability and less than stellar upbringing, she has managed to carve a life out for herself. She is self-sufficient, and happy. But there is something missing.
    This book....It started with tears, and I was in tears again by the end. The story of Creed and Memphis was a beautiful one of second chances, forgiveness, and renewal. Watching them move from friends to a couple was absolutely awe inspiring. They both deserve a HEA, after everything that they have gone through. This story could be read as a stand alone, as the focus is on the building relationship of Creed and Memphis. However, there is also an ongoing story that continues from book to book, that will be harder to follow if you have not read the other books. Regardless, don't forget the tissues!
    I do not even know where to begin. Or how to think of enough words to explain what this book put me through. I’ve loved every book in this series. Every beautiful happy moment, and every heartbreaking one. But nothing could have prepared me for His Angel. Pulling out every emotion in existence, Leah Sharelle delivers a story that you can’t put down.
    Brace yourselves, this addition to the Wounded Souls series is going to gut you while also capturing your heart. Mass amounts of tissues are necessary here. I was hit with quite a few blows I never saw coming with Creed’s story and the ugly cry was strong. I’m talking full on hysterical sobbing here. I’ll leave it at that because as River Song would say, Spoilers Sweetie.
    Having my heart ripped out aside, Creed and Memphis have one hell of a story. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about Creed. His past and grief getting in the way of him seeing what was right in front of him made me want to smack him a time or two. Buuuut, like every man in this series his heart is made of pure gold and the love he finally lets loose will take your breath away! I adored Memphis from the start. Sweet, cheerful, and amazingly strong. She has a quiet strength and a good bit of optimism despite all she’s been through and goes through. Constantly bouncing back from every blow she’s dealt and loving not just Creed but his entire MC family immensely.
    4 1/2 out of 5 stars
    This series was intriguing from the very beginning and the alpha males were smokin’ hot. The females were a little hard to believe, but nonetheless, I fell in love with this crew. Creed’s story was heartbreaking from the beginning, but I’m thankful he found what he was looking for - or more accurately, what he didn’t even know he was looking for.
    Memphis is a new character to the story, but has been in Creed’s life since he was 14. Their past is close, but not romantic. Creed is tough on the outside, but his inside is still broken. Memphis is tough all around though sometimes she breaks, too.
    I really enjoyed their side of the love story, BUT i also loved getting the epilogue for each couple at the end!! This was a great wrap up for this series and despite the few tears I shed while reading, I would highly recommend you work your way through this series because the characters are some that you won’t soon forget!
    I hate when authors kill off main characters but this was actually done well even if it ducked
    Reviewed for SNS
    I don’t even know where to start. I hate to see this series end but boy has it been one fun ride.
    Creed hasn’t fully lived since his wife died. Now that her sister is in the path of of the rouge, Creed knows what he must do. Memphis is a stunning character. She is strong but knows exactly when she needs to learns on someone. The storyline for this book was fabulous and I won’t be giving away anything with this review. Just know, you don’t want to miss this book or the entire series for that matter. Awesome writing.
    Absolutely loved this book. Great ending for a great series. This book made me laugh. Cry and then want to throw something at the author. She had me on the top of my toes all the way throughout it. Emotional rollercoaster of the best kind.
  • Angela
    I knew that this book was going to put me through the wringer, and I was SO RIGHT! HIS ANGEL put me through an emotional freakin’ roller coaster. But I wouldn’t have had it any other way. It was completely beautiful as a whole. It showed massive strength from both Memphis and Creed, and how actions have consequences. Now, I was not expecting what happened, and I was very saddened by that, even if I understood the reason why. But I am still crying at times, not only because of that, but because it was ultimately beautiful.
    I knew that Creed’s story was going to be somewhat hard. Readers have only gotten teased with his past, and then got bludgeoned by what happened within it. Now is time for explanations and moving forward and that is what HIS ANGEL has done. This book has now become my favorite of the series.
    While I don’t feel that readers will need to read the other books in the series, I would highly recommend it. There are things that are brought up in this story that might be hard to understand unless they read from the beginning.
    Overall, amazing! I ran through every emotion that I had while reading this book and then put myself through it a couple more times. And each time I found something new to like about the book. I have truly enjoyed this world that the writer has created and the characters within it’s world. Two thumbs up from me!
    This is the book we have all been waiting for and it was definitely worth the wait. This was a perfectly written book it flowed really well and was extremely easy to follow. The charecters in this book touch your heart and soul, it is so easy to get attatched to these people and emerse yourselves in their story. This book was such a pleasure to read. This book had so mamy beautiful moments full of love, laughter and some heartbreakingly Heartwrenching moments, This author has delived all the feels for you.
    Creed is a beautiful wounded soul who seem to have no wait out of his pain, we gave all followed his story through this series and fell in love with him and felt his pain and wondered if there was ever a way out for him. Memphis is a sweet girl with a heart of gold, a well kept secret who loves deeply and she was a pleasure getting to know.
    I would definitely recommend this book and author to anyone who love an epic love where their souls are destined to be as one but not quiet sure if they will get there and you have to keep reading to find out how it all works out. I enjoyed reading past people from the series and seeing how their lives are still going. I honestly hope you love it as much as I have. Happy Reading ♡
    His Angel definitely feels like an ending to a place that I love to live in while reading, and I'm a bit sad about that. Leah Sharelle is an author at the top of my list that I'm addicted to, as her Wounded Souls MC guys, and the feisty ladies they have found are tattooed on my heart forever. I know each of the books are about different couples, but there's one story line that is throughout all the books, so you really must read all of them in order to fully understand everything that's happened leading up to the final hurrah! This Creed's story, and finally we really see what makes him tick, or be so broody if you will. Trying to protect his sister-in-law leads to the opportunity for his heart being healed, but it's not an easy journey, as he's broken. Not to mention, she's in HUGE danger, which is some of the big twists that kept me cussing like the mighty tiny human, Shiloh. The angst was off the charts emotional, and more than once, I found myself with eyes leaking. Sexy times are per usual SUPER HOT, like setting the sheets on fire HOT, while the cast of secondaries are accounted for, with my favorite, Shiloh, stealing the show once again. I LOVE this series with everything in me, and I will be revisiting it over & over again. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
  • Sharee
    I'm so conflicted. I don't think I can give this a rating. I the fact that their relationship developed so fast. It didn't make sense to me. I understand the stipulations in the will but geez. Where was his struggle to let go of his wife's death and find peace? How can you go from being seriously closed off and the the very next day you're married and have feelings for someone? I just don't understand that. I felt like their relationship was rushed.
    The subplot with rogue left me with questions. Who the heck was helping him? What happens with Callie and what did she want to talk about with Mia after she got locked up? Why does she hate her? Is it truly over?
    The only truly unsatisfying thing about this series is Julie. I couldn't believe how everyone was saying that she knew he loved her and that she was the only woman for him. He was constantly sleeping with other women and he knew that she was heartbroken about it. So no, I don't think she knew you loved her...I also want to know what her family needed to tell him.
    Poor little Shiloh. I don't think she will ever be the same. That poor baby has dealt with so much at such a young age. I would love to see how she grows up.
    All in all, I still loved the series.
  • Indie Wish List
    I don’t even know how to write this review… His Angel, which seems to be the final book in the Wound Souls MC Series, was a rip your heart out and make you curl up in the fetal position and cry book. OMG! I really don’t know how to rate it.
    I loved the romance between Creed and Memphis. There are some cringe-worthy aspects for Memphis, but it all gets ironed out fairly quickly. I loved how Creed never downplayed his love and devotion to his first wife, Lila Rose, while you still feel an equal love and devotion to Memphis. It’s a different love but just as powerful. I didn’t feel like she was getting the shaft.
    It was everything else that I’m not so sure about… I’m not going to go into detail, but all I can say is… Darth. I did not agree with that, and probably wouldn’t have read the book had I known.
    It was well-written and the ending tied up in a nice little bow. I felt a little depressed after reading it, but overall if you like an emotional novel with a little angst? It’s a good read.
    After the tragic death of his wife and unborn child Creed has resigned himself to surviving but he isn’t living. His whole life focuses around his MC brothers, but he doesn’t plan to let another woman close as his wife owns his heart and he wouldn’t be able to survive that kind of loss a second time.
    Memphis life has not been easy as she has lost her sight and has no family, but her parents neglected her long before they passed away. Memphis has loved Creed since she was a teenager, but he only ever had eyes for his sister and there is no competing with a ghost.
    When Memphis is in danger it is Creed who steps to the forefront to protect and he finally realizes what has been in front of him all along, but will he be able to protect her from the threat that surrounds her?
    Full of emotion, angst and answers this was a fitting conclusion to this series. I am sad to see this series end, but it was great to catch up with all the characters we know and love. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
