Great Expectations: The Elt Graphic Novel (Classic Graphic Novel Collection) Reviews

i didnt enjoy this one compared to other graphic books ive read. it was hard to keep up with the storyline, too many characters, changing scenes too frequently, not so interesting. i wonder if the book is better.) will i ever read it? probably not. esp since i now know the story in short... i will watch the movie.

This was done well with all the graphics. A story about a man who tries to figure out what he wants from life. He tries to better himself and then is not sure whether he wants to be that person or just a commoner.
    Enjoy!

This is a great adaptation of Dickens' novel. I didn't realize I had forgotten so much of the story. I think Viney did a good job condensing the plot into a very manageable story to present in graphic novel form and to JH/SH students.

  • Heaven Hayward

A really great interpretation of the source material, though it is very text heavy in some places.

  • Fran Gándara Hofbauer

Me gusto bastante, aunque sentí que todo paso muy seguido, supongo que es porque es la versión en novela gráfica.

  • Kevin Izworski

Great story, rather abrebiated version. Definately a shortcut, but I got the gist. I'll probably read the original when I have time, but now I know what happens. Oh well, it will lead me to check out more Dickens at least.

  • Slow Man

I was drawn by the drawings and the emotions of the characters. This is one of my favorite Dickens story.

  • Jaye Latts

I had a faint inkling about this story, but it has never been of interest to me. Reading this graphic novel served me well enough.
