Rainforests (Usborne Beginners Level 1: Nature) Reviews

Love learning with Usborne. Easy to read and great content to give an introduction to my elementary level learners.

This non-fiction book provides many bits of information about the rainforest, its structure, its animals, threats from developers and tribes that call the rainforest home. It would be appropriate to share as a read aloud with children between three and six. Older independent readers may be able to read with some assistance.

The book would be appropriate to introduce children to features of non-fiction texts like a table of contents, a glossary and an index. It combines interesting facts, illustrations and photographs that will engage readers.

  • Sydney McClure

This is another great, informative book for readers of all ages. The text is succinct and easy to comprehend. The pictures are great. There is a glossary in the back, as well. The rainforest and its inhabitants are discussed.

  • Dane Cobain

This children's book is surprisingly informative, a memento of a visit to Trentham Monkey Forest.
