1879. American west. It had been nearly 7 years since Elizabeth Trelawney, an only child was sent East to live with her Aunt. The last 2 years wearing greatly on her. How many social engagements and meeting ‘suitable young men’ would she have to endure? None of it interested her.

It didn’t feel real or right and brought a sense of betrayal she didn't understand. She longed for the home she remembered. The life she'd left behind. Images would flood her dreams and her body would wake in anticipation and loss. It confused her and made her ache with need.

No longer able to hold back her feelings, frustrated and determined, with a pull towards home, she starts out on the journey that would forge the rest of her life. Alone, having escaped the ever-watchful eye of her aunt. She could do this. She had to.

    Great

This was such a wonderful book. The story fascinating, the bonds, the relationships are colorful and heatwarming. It's quite steamy to say the least. It's really a deep tale. The story telling is vivid and interesting. The only short coming is really poor editing.

  • Nothing Like A Great Book

I didn’t enjoy it, and had to eventually start skipping through the very lengthy chapters, looking for something interesting. There wasn’t anything interesting, but there was lots of convoluted craziness going on. The love story between the protagonists was drawn out to the max, and was a damp squid. I didn’t feel anything for any of the characters, and found the writing to be very disjointed; the story all over the place. Coupled with the grammar and spelling mistakes, it was hard going. At 483 pages, it’s 300 pages too long .
