So here I am, about to ask my buddy Leo if he'll pretend to be my spouse for a few weeks until Mom buzzes off. My mother, the matchmaker..I just never thought she'd turn that gaze on me.
Thank god he needs the money or else... well, no or else. Leo's a great guy. He'd do this for me, money or not. I know he would. It's the whole reason I'm asking him and not some random guy off the street.
There's definitely no other reason. Sure, he's hot but I like my freedom.
Leo
Oliver is... look, he's a great guy but he's not exactly anyone I could picture settling down in the next four decades. He likes to party. He likes to play. I want something more solid than that in my life.
Not that this whole marriage thing is anything but a sham. We're just doing it to get by his mom so he can be left to enjoy himself in peace. I'm happy to help but I'm not sure how far we should take it. Should I move in with him? Get rings? Talk about our honeymoon?
I don't know what I'm doing, I just hope this doesn't ruin our friendship or... change it, somehow.
This 50,000 word work contains some seriously sultury scenes. This book is intended for those ages 18 and older since it has graphic depiction of m/m sex scenes within. Adults only.
A First Time Gay Billionaire Romance.

I received this ARC from BookSprout in exchange for an honest review.
When Oliver's mom won't stop bringing over women for him to marry, he decides to get married to his best friend, Leo. Leo's alone and working constantly and decides that marrying his best friend might not be the worst decision he's ever made.
I honestly thought this story was great. I totally believed the relationship and the emotion. I liked the slow burn and the dual point of views. It was a great read. -
Cute
Of my this was a nice, cute story. It was paced well. Both main characters were very likable and adorable. I liked their friendship then committed relationship. I enjoyed this book! -
When Leo's closest friend, Oliver, comes to him with a crazy proposition - marry him to get his scheming, matchmaking mother off his back, Leo doesn't know what to even say to him. He's pretty sure Oliver's not gay, for one, and two, Leo doesn't want anything to ruin their friendship, the most important one in his solitary life. He can't seem to resist his charming, impulsive friend, though, so off they go to a cheesy Elvis chapel at 1am, then spend the rest of the night in the honeymoon suite complete with a heart-shaped bed and pink shag carpet.
It's when Leo's fired and becomes homeless, though, that things start to change for the two friends. Oliver moves him into his penthouse and starts to notice his friend is hot - leanly muscled and adorable. It's a strange thing for Oliver, womanizing, commitment-phobe Oliver, but he rolls with it and soon is determined to seduce his husband. For his part, Leo's adorably nervous around his new hubby. Leo doesn't have much experience with either gender, and with Oliver being his best friend, his suddenly commanding, dominant best friend, he has no idea how to react when Oliver decides to seduce him. Will their fake marriage turn into a real one? And most importantly, will Oliver's mother EVER accept that her son is gay and married to a man she dislikes?!
I found Ace in the Hole surprisingly excellent. It's not the typically shallow fake-marriage, friends to lovers romance. It's much more layered and substantial than the kind of fluff that's usually prevalent with this trope. Oliver and Leo have a really strong connection, and I love how much they both accept their feelings for each other. There isn't a lot of angst, but there is definitely a little suspense, and a strong story backing up all the super steamy, slightly kinky steam between the two. And the epilogue is fabulous, too. I am really looking forward to Wiley's story after that epilogue!

4.25 stars
Oliver is in a bind and has taken to asking his best friend Leo to help him out. His mother is trying to get him hitched in the worst possible way and he wants no part of it. He propositions Leo to marry him and Leo is speechless as he does not want to do anything to jeopardize their friendship. However, after some consideration, Leo accepts and they get married. Shortly thereafter, Leo loses his job and his home and comes to move in with Oliver. This is where their relationship dynamic really takes a turn. Yet when Oliver’s mother finds out, she in not to pleased. How far will she go to sabotage Oliver’s relationship to get what she wants? Will Oliver and Leo be able to stay together with all of Oliver’s mother’s machinations? This is one well written friends to lovers storyline with engaging characters. You get warm fuzzies when you read the lengths each man will go to for the one he loves. It is also gratifying to see Oliver grow and adjust his priorities and admit his feelings for Leo.

This is my 1st read and review for this author and what a fantastic start in getting to know his stories and I will be looking out for more from this author. I love reading friends to lovers stories and this is a great one. Oliver is being hassled by his mother his match making mother she keeps bringing women home for him to meet so he can get married but he looks to his best friend Leo. Oliver offers money to Leo to marry him a fake marriage and Leo thinks that he could do worse than marry his friend so he accepts. What happens when a fake marriage starts to feel real?, can Oliver and Leo have a happily ever after or will there be too much interference from other people?. This is a fantastic love story but if you want to know more then read Peter’s blurb and that will give you the gist to this story. A great read a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

This has everything you need: friendship, love and suspense. It is very well written and will keep you wanting more.
The relationship between Oliver and Leo is a beautiful friends-turned-lovers that neither of them expected.
Oliver needs help getting his manipulative, match-making mother off of his back. Oliver doesn't want a wife and kids, so he turns to his best friend Leo, because he knows he can trust him.
Leo is stunned when Oliver proposes a 'fake' marriage. Oliver is always seen with a different girl.
Want to know how Oliver and is's relationship plays out?
Want to know how manipulative Oliver's mother is and the lengths that she will go to in order to get Oliver to do what she wants?
Read the book! It will keep you on the edge of your seat! -
I always wonder did I miss something big when I'm one of the very few people that didn't give a book a high rating? This was one of those stories. It confused me and the high ratings confuse me. There is so much unnecessary stuff that I started skimming pages and that's never a good sign.
I didn't dislike everything there were some good things about this story but it got lost in there which is unfortunate. The premise is good, the mcs are good (even though I didn't really connect with them) and the little conflict near the end was good but all the stuff around that was muddled up. The one thing that I really disliked was the epilogue it wasn't even really about Leo and Oliver. Where did that come from? Yeah, not a fan.
I see potential but this story missed the mark for me. -
Oliver needs a spouse to get his mother off his back. He decides his friend Leo is the perfect answer. Leo needs the money and is a good friend, oliver has never been with a man so nothing will get complicated... nothing will go wrong, right?
Well, when Leo gets fired and has to move in with Oliver, an attraction builds. Things feel natural and perfect,,, but will that last?
Oliver and Leo are great... sexy, steamy scenes with a bit of kink. Sweet and caring friendship. Their love story entertains and satisfies.

Oliver's mum is pushing him to get married. To stop her schemes he asks his friend Leo to marry him to get her off his back and miraculously he says yes!! What follows is a delicious ride in the sultry place that is Las Vegas through ring picking, an Elvis themed wedding, a mum who will not quit and a huge poker tournament.
Another good book by this duo, it's not and steamy, with leather and lace, fast paced enough to keep you interested and wondering when hurricane mum will hit. An enjoyable book

I really really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the relationship between the two. The only thing I would’ve changed is the pacing. I felt like everything was pretty good up until the 75% mark and then after that everything went at hyper speed. Though I really did love that there was almost no angst. I’ve had my fill of super angsty books lately and I just love reading a book where there’s no miscommunication.

I actually liked this. It was odd at first to see how a straight guy fell for his male best friend without doubting it much, but I guess that is what made the story even better. I was afraid he was going to pull away out of fear of the unknown, but he pretty much embraced it. It was worth reading.

Best friends
Oliver professional poker player needs some quick to marry so his mom will stop bugging him. Leo waiter in Las Vegas buffet just happens to be Oliver’s choice. This story was so cute and erotic at the same time. From friends to lovers and still more. I hope Wiley gets his own story. -
DNF after 1 minute.
OMFG the narration on this was awful. I don't even think I made it 5 minutes.
Obviously Amature and completely the wrong voice. The reader obviously never read a story out loud before, putting the wrong emphasis in the wrong places.
Wow. I haven't DNF'd a book that fast in a long time. -
It’s not a new premise but I did like the twist toward the end. I would never have thought they’d make such a good couple, as Leo seemed so quiet, I guess it’s a case of opposites attracting. Oliver’s mom needed the rubber room for coming up with this particular scheme, I don’t know how she thought it would ever be successful.

This is a quick and easy read. The storyline is well-crafted, intriguing, suspenseful, has drama and steam. The characters are defined, and likable with sizzling chemistry. I liked it.

Really cute!
Oliver and Leo were really cute! There was super light BDSM. Nice unexpected plot twist that seems to set up a story for a secondary character. Good chemistry and perfect heat...excellent read -
Prometia mais no inicio do que aquilo em que se desenvolveu, quer o romance quer o mistério em torno da acusação.
