Wow! What a book
I’ve read many books of mighty men of God, some put me to sleep, others got me on fire! This is one of those “got me on fire” books.
D.Lee goes into detail to spur you into prayer to the scriptures and words from historic and present men and women of God. In his book, he draws us into the prayer closet, kind of reminds me of War room. He invites us to keep still and listen after we worship and he encourages us to invite the Spirit to help us pray. It’s so true, prayer should never be a one way thing. “We pray to hear from God”. If we just pray with no word back from God, we are treating our saviour like the gods of this world.
I loved every bit of this book and the quotes toward the end got me hyped for prayer. God bless you D.L. Martin -
I read this book via an Amazon KINDLE Unlimited [KU] download.
There should be no question that those reading this truly love the Lord. And I believe we sum up our passion for the Lord by reading Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s Sonnet #43:
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise…
And although this might be the case for all of us, some of us are actuality lacking in the closest of our relationship with the Lord. While all of us pray to Him nearly every day, could we be missing a more meaningful level when we do? This is perhaps why some of us might still feel unsatisfied and pleased with ourselves once we’re finished praying for the day. There are many ways for us to pray to our Lord, personally I like the manner that’s described in MATTHEW 6:6 [ESV]
“But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”
What Pastor Martin does in this book is to take his readers, both newcomers and seasoned soldiers of the Lord, and guides them by the hand in learning how to pray anew. A newer way of praying that will allow them to be reborn without the baggage that has prevented them from totally experiencing the Lord’s greatest in themselves and their lives, through prayers.
For wanting to uplift all of his readers to a higher and closer relationship with the Lord I’ve given Pastor David Lee Martin the 5 STARS he so richly deserves. -
Great book on prayer
Although I have been a prayer warrior for years this book has wonderful insight and ideas to help. Take the ideas and use them and you will be blessed by tbs Father. -
Spiritual uplifting
The book will be a go to in prayer life. It answered questions, I've had for so long. Thank you
