All he has to do is strike one match to bring all her secrets to light
Gavin:
Only a Mountain Misfit would find opportunity in his own little brother’s motorcycle accident.
An opportunity to finally get Sloan right where I want her. Not just for the night, but for the rest of our lives.
She’s going to be my wife. She’s going to be the queen of the Mountain Misfits MC.
She has everything I need to wash this blood from my hands.
Everything I need to help save my club from my father’s appetite for destruction.
The fact that he hates her more than he hates himself makes me want her even more.
And now…
I’m going to throw her on the back of my bike and give her everything she wants.

Sloan:
It was supposed to be a one night stand with a big bad biker I’ve been crushing on for months.
I’ve already put my promising career at risk by tampering with police evidence and getting tangled up in their questionable club ethics,
but now that I’m up here on this mountain, not just in his bed but in his world, I don’t ever want to come back down.
I’m safe here from my life below. Safe unless someone finds out the dark secrets of my past.
And if they do… when they do… this man who I’m falling in love with will probably be the one who ends my life.

Never Coming Down is a 75,000 word full length motorcycle club novel with no cheating, a HEA, and a super sweet never before released epilogue, and absolutely NO cliffhanger. It features themes of violence, drugs, and lots of steam. Make sure you check out Above & Below to get up to speed on Gavin and Sloan’s backstory before you dive into this book!

Never Coming Down (Mountain Misfits MC, #1) Reviews

I have mixed feelings on this book which means this isn’t going to be an easy review to write.

Firstly I wasn’t sure about Sloan after reading the prequel Above & Below. But I liked Gavin and the MC enough to continue on with this one.

I warmed to Sloan a lot more in this. And it seemed like I was in for a good read. Plus it had humour which is always a good thing.

“Ma’am,” I say to her, “you probably shouldn’t be doing that. His ribs are broken.”
“My dick is still intact though, right, Doc? You saw it, didn’t you?” he laughs.
“I did see it.” I shrug.
    “And?”
“I was slightly underwhelmed.” Everyone cracks up, except for Morgan, who is shooting lasers from her eyes at me.
    “Only slightly, right?” Hank pleads.

I’ll admit I was enjoying this read and so glad I’d continued on. Because it could have gone either way. But then...
Now this is a pet hate of mine (yes I have a lot of them). Sloan knows she needs to open up about her past to Gavin. Olive tells her she needs to get it sorted before someone else tells him and gets it twisted.
    Does she?
Of course not and I hate it when this happens. It’s just a way to drag it out and make more drama.

And another thing I didn’t like was the unprotected sex.
He’s a biker who’s worked his way through most if not all the dirty birdies. She doesn’t know if he’s always kept it wrapped. Seems a bit of a gamble especially considering she’s a doctor and should know better.

I nearly stopped reading at this point because it just annoys me that much. But I kept going and then Sloan has a real “I’m better than everyone” moment. At this point I’ve written Sloan off. Now I just want Gavin to find someone nice.

It all got sorted and I even forgave Sloan in the end.

Now do I cut my losses or continue on with the next one and hope it doesn’t annoy me?

    Good book.....

This was really good. The storyline flows, angsty, gritty, hot AF sex scenes, sexy alpha male and a really good female counterpart.
Sloane and Gavin were perfect for each other. This has everything I want in an MC read.
    I recommend this book.
    Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis

    received copy for honest review
I can't rave about this book. I wanted to but I felt like I was missing some important facts. Sloan and Gavin met briefly and were very attracted to each other. It was not the right time for Sloan. She was trying to be a surgeon and had less than a year to finish. Gavin spent the time trying to make himself into a man he though Sloan would be with. He stayed away from the women, starting renovating his grandfather's house and kept things pretty quiet. Sloan continued with her studies. Circumstances throw them together and things happen pretty fast. The story in itself was good. The Club members were a bonus. there were things that detracted from it. The story seemed long and I found myself skimming through some of it. I did finish it but the story does not feel like it's over. I have questions about Gavin's father and brother. I have questions about the Sloan/Arthur situation at the end(don't want to give anything away). Hopefully there is more to come from these two. The story did leave me curious about the other members of the MC. I liked Gavin so I will not give up on the series.

Gavin wants the chance to convince Sloan that she is going to be his Old Lady. He had one night with Sloan and he wants more, but Sloan is trying to establish her career as a surgeon so the gamble of taking a chance on him comes with potential consequences. His MC club has a not so stellar reputation but Gavin is doing everything he can to fix that. However when his brother ends up crashing Sloan is there sewing him up and it puts her in a situation that he never wanted for her. Can the weather the storm coming their way or will they fall apart before they begin?

There is a lot to this story. I liked Gavin but there were some characters I did not like at all. Also a few questions that were left open. I did like Sloan and thought the chemistry with her and Gavin was there but scratched my head a bit at the end.

Going All In💘 For The Bad Boy🐺🍆🌋Biker

What in the 🌎world does a brilliant young intern surgeon want to get mixed up with a bad boy Biker🐺🍆🌋 for?
After reading this book, I'm still asking myself this question.
Oh Yeah, could it be that Gavin🐺🍆🌋 is such a bad naaasty lay and big handsome chic magnet that Sloan💃💋 can't help herself? She'd jeopardize her years of schooling and talent for the smell of leather and man 😓sweat?
Seems like I got into the middle if a series somehow with the references to Sloan💃💋 testifying at a trial in the beginning, but this title says book 1. Did I miss something?

    ARC Received.
I also got The book📑 with KU.

How did I talk myself into another MC Romance!? This is definitely a dirty, naaasssty baaaad boy Biker🐺🍆🌋 fantasy romance! Fun!

This is the first book I have read by the author and it will not be the last. Sloan is a woman who grew up in a trailer park and has struggled to improve her life by becoming a trauma surgeon. Unfortunately, she was not able to escape her upbringing entirely as she wound up in an abusive relationship with Arthur, thanks to her father’s connections. Her best friend Olive tried to get her to leave to no avail. While helping Olive get ready for her new job as a stripper, Sloan winds up driving to a huge mansion and meets Gavin. The two have chemistry but are interrupted before anything can happen between them. Fast forward a few years and Sloan and Gavin reconnect but things have changed. Can they pick up where they left off or will the past hinder anything that can grow between them? Just when you feel that things may be looking up, something comes along and blindsides you. The quintessential range of emotions that the reader goes through is remarkable. I cannot wait to read more of these books from this talented author. I highly recommend putting this on your to be read shelf.
I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.

So this had what I thought was a good base, but the execution was lacking for me.

Im not going to lie there were parts I skimmed because... the characters were just not engaging to me. The "alpha male" was wishy-washy and the mountain misfits just didn't work the way the writer intended.

The part to me that was disappointing is that I could see where it could have worked but it lacked depth and skimmed over the surface of what should have been deep.

Sloan recognized the patches on this young man's cut as he was moved through the ER to the OR as she and her mentor performed their magical trauma surgery on him. As she watched him in recovery, she called her only girl friend who worked for his big brother at the MC's Saloon. Then, on her friend's advice, she went through his things to find the packet of heroin in his jeans and slipped it in her scrub pockets. When his father, the MC President, showed and insisted on getting the patient discharged, she'd told him he'd be making a mistake, she didn't have the authority, she'd just put him back together and tampered with evidence as she passed the white packet to Gavin, the older brother she'd been crushing on. This is the beginning of a time-off she spends with Gavin, a different night in each of his three dwellings, experiencing a shoot-out, evading arrest, patching up the wounded, a MC 'hunt,' a MC celebatory feast, and showing him the tiny dump she lives in. But she never confesses that she's a police snitch turning state's evidence on her former abusive boyfriend. What will become of these two? A fantastic read for us, that's for sure! Lots of anxiety, depression, tears, and living on the edge! I volunteered this review from an ARC.

First time read for Ms Voss and I can assure you that I am her newest fan for life. Never Coming Down is the perfect way to kick off an MC Series. With the way Ms Deja Voss completely enthralled me from page 1 with this superbly crafted storyline as well as the well thought out characters that are so relatable and hot together, I promise you'll be as glued to your Kindle as I was. No joke, Ms Voss will suck you right in to this fast-paced and addictive storyline. We all have a past, however, what Sloan and Gavin have overcome is astounding. But to go forward together, can they not only lay all their secrets out or will they be the very thing that tears them apart?

Ms Voss, you have impressed me with your talent and I am kicking myself for not reading your work sooner but rest assured I plan to rectify this ASAP. I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Never Coming Down in exchange for my honest opinion and I couldn't devour it fast enough. At the same time, I didn't want Sloan and Gavin's journey to end. I loved this book and can't wait to see what is next for this Brotherhood.

    OH MY, MY, MY!!!
Talk about putting a new spin on MCs. This is one interesting tale. If you're looking for an action packed, smooth flowing read that captivates from the beginning and holds your attention until the last word. Congrats my friends you've found it. The characters are well developed and believable. The scenes are so graphically detailed it gives the illusion of taking on a life of its own. The characters personalities are complex, individual and balance out perfectly. The twists and turns and unexpected surprises adds to the layer upon layer of this page turning bombshell. Deja keeps the suspense riding that really makes the storyline pop. It is definitely a must read. Deja did an incredible job bringing this read together beautifully beautifully. Fantastic job Deja, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

I really enjoyed this book. Sloan has her demons that she’s battling, but she’s looking for a fresh start. She gets that when she finally gets with Gavin, but her past comes back to haunt her. When the truth comes out, her world shatters and even when she tries to explain why she did what she did. She finally finishes her schooling to be a surgeon, but life still isn’t what she wants it to be. She’s isolated and is barely existing. The heartbreak these characters all feel is overwhelming, but it just draws you in more and more. I cannot wait to see what happens with this MC. Goob and Moses are bound to fall eventually, I just hope they don’t take anyone else down with them. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Never Coming Down: Mountain Misfits MC Book 1 by Deja Voss 5 Stars *****

Awesome!!! If you haven't read the prequel you should cause this picks up right where the prologue left off with just as much intensity.

Gavin and Sloan will blow you away in this book!!!! I couldn't put it down till I was finished. OMG!!
I'm in Love with these two. Talk about being Intense and Thrilling, better hang on cause you are gonna be all over the place with this book, lol.

A struggling MC Club, A crooked father, A pyscho ex, Drugs and a Powerful Attraction that gets more gritty and intense as the story goes on. Sweet!!! And it has a HEA that is perfect. Touche to the author.

Mature readers, some strong language and sexual content.

loved Gavin and the misfits but not so much sloan_no woman who has been thru the trauma of a bad abusive boyfriend is going to put herself back in a situation that possibly could turn out the same way especially with all she has sacrificed to become a trauma surgeon just for some "D"___ not saying bikers are abusive as i am one myself but our lifestyle isnt the most stellar....would love to read a story where the girl isnt some tiny cute thing but more like everyday women with meat on her bones and not some gorgeous drop dead face_tired of reading about some pretty girl with head trips getting the gorgeous guy...how about a reg woman with a beautiful smile that lights up a room .....

  • Jennifer

Loved this MC romance! Gavin has come back to the MC, leaving his dreams of law school behind. He wants it to be the kind of club it was when his grandfather was alive. He never expected to fall for the woman he spent one hot night with. Sloan thought she could get the sexy biker out of her system and return to surgery residency, but he has gotten under her skin. They both have pasts that threaten to come back to haunt them, but Gavin will do whatever it takes to protect the one woman he can't let go.

  • Amber Fueston

Spent a lot of time rolling my eyes, but despite the many small issues I had with the story it was quite interesting. Sloan is a doctor, but her and Gavin never use condoms. At one point Gavin comes in covered in blood after murdering people and they just go at it. I would think that a medical professional would have more concern about diseases than that. The sex is overly dramatic at times and most of the characters speak like teenagers. All of that being said though, the story kept me reading and there were lots of funny moments.

    Suspenseful

Wow I have to say I am happily impressed with how the story played out. The last book left me wanting more and this one definitely delivered. I enjoyed how the author had the family loyalty aspect of the MC down. Plus the friendships that are built. Sloan & Olive have a wonderful bff relationship with each other just like Gavin and Brooks. This book had some very hot and sexy scenes but nothing gross. It had violence and a bit of drugs and alcohol to round it all out. Overall I thought it was a great read.

Omg, how have I missed reading this author's work before, I need to remedy that, this is a fabulous book, Sloane who works in ER helps when Gavin's brother is brought in after an accident, knowing the patch on his back, she contacts the club to tell them where he his and that's when she sees her crush. There is a lot going on, it's fast paced and I loved it
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion

  • Netanya

I literally found it hard to read at times because of the way it was written. I’m sure when she wrote it, a lot of the dialogue sounded better in her thought than what was transcribed on paper. It was a good book and it held my attention, though. It took me 2 days to finish it and I haven’t done that much hardcore reading in a millennium!! I was a bit lost during the story because I guess the author wrote about these characters in an earlier book.

  • Suzette

A raw, sensual and beautiful love story. The intricate way in which the writer goes into details sharing the different perspectives from Sloan and Gavin of the same scene in the book is magnificent. The variation of energy, moods, themes, and scenery is described in such depth to bring as much realism as possible to the reader.

  • Laila Viking

Enjoyable story and storyline. Likeable characters who are well described. He tries really hard to change and be the man she wants. She has her education that she wants to finish. I felt it was a bit slow at times but I like the new aspect to a MC romance.
It is worth the read but I recommend to read Above & Below first.

  • April

    Enjoyed it.

It was a good read. I wish the inner workings of the clubs and the boys was elaborated on more. It was slightly brushed on, that they have enemies but you’re not really told why or what’s happening. You get a feel for the boys but don’t really know who does what. Hopefully this is the ground work for future books.

  • M Robinson

really enjoyed the book, some of it was a bit unrealistic, like sloan spends all those years to become a trauma surgeon and just gives it up? yeah and what about all her student loans and debt? its never mentioned and skipped over. so a few little niggly things just were a bit of an annoyance.

overall a good book and defo interested in reading book 2

  • Sue

We're back with Gavin and Sloan. Things are bumpy and he's still have problems with his younger brother he rescued. His father is really a pain. Sloan doesn't know how she keeps getting caught up in these mountain men, but she's got a thing for Gavin so she puts up with a lot. There's danger and plenty of heat. HEA.

    Sexy time with Mountain MC

"Never coming Down" is a great start to Mountain Misfit MC. I enjoyed every moment reading it, the story ticked all my boxes, it had drama & action, insta attraction & sexy time, family & friendship and last but not least important interesting characters, Sloan and Gavin made the impossible possible.
