A place without you, Lady, ain’t anywhere I want to be.
I love you, Rainn.

MANNIX

Mannix Steel lives by one rule—loyalty always.
It helped him through one hellish deployment where he lost an eye, friends died, and his twin lost his leg, and worst of all, when he lost his family. The Wounded Souls’ enforcer decided life is easier without letting his heart make the decisions. That’s why the club’s sexy dancer is perfect for him, no strings, no promises, and no heartache. Or, at least, that is what he thought, but when Rainn goes missing, Mannix realises she means much more to him.

RAINN

Being the spotlight dancer for the Wounded Souls’ strip club, Body and Souls, Rainn Storm knows how to use her body. She is a woman who is strong, independent, and, to her chagrin, deeply in love with the club’s rough-around-the-edges enforcer, Mannix. They have been in an open relationship for years, but that is not enough for her now, especially since she has a secret that may destroy everything she has with her lover.

Will Mannix and Rainn ever see eye to eye on their relationship? Or will the dangerous Rogue destroy it for them?

    This author gets better with each book in this series. There are always things in these books that I would normally hate but she writes them in such a way that it doesn’t bother me. I have loved Rainn since the beginning of this series. So glad that Mannix finally got his head out of his ass lol. I feel kind of bad for Darth right now and I kinda don’t. What he put Vegas through for all of those years makes it hard for me to have a ton of sympathy for him. I do love how he is with Shiloh though. And that ending was a real tear jerker. I’m assuming Creed’s book is next. I don’t handle the dead ex trope well at all. Especially when they’re still mourning. I like Creed and want him to be happy but I have a feeling his h will be put through the ringer of him pushing away and feeling like second best. Hopefully Ms. Sharelle proves me wrong as she’s done a few times now.

    There is something in the series that has me continuing with it. I am skim reading about 50% of it but still enough there for me to want to see how the couples and the plot roles out. Tighter editing and being truer to the characters would lift this into a pretty decent read. Here again This undercuts the edgy premise and makes it into rubbish. It might have been easier to swallow this tease if it hadn't been done before in this series. It can work for one or two books but after that, it just gets lame. The over the top behaviour often had me rolling my eyes and not in an amused way but then that's what skimming is for. I like the turn this took at the end, so am I going to continue? Not sure.

    First off let us say this is a new series and author for us and we have to say that we loved the first book in this new amazing series and each and every book that came after.

    I loved what this club stood for and the members who were part of the MC club. We often take for granted the sacrifices our soldiers make for us to keep us safe and the he** they go through and the long effects they have to live with. For us, I am eternally grateful for all they do to keep us safe. This Club was created for a team of ex-military soldiers and the men they served with. I loved the support system that this club had for each and every member as well as the former soldiers to come it was a place for them to feel like they belonged and had purpose. What I loved most though as they had the right people to cope with the nightmares, PTSD, mood swings, etc to help them make it through the day. This really was such a touching story that it definitely touched your heart and is not a story that you would be forgetting anytime soon.

    I really enjoyed this latest installment in this ongoing series. Rainn she was just the bomb! She is the perfect mix of soft and Hard. Omg! Did this gal give us a ton of laughs throughout the story?

    Rainn has been one of my favorite characters throughout the series she was just a hoot and a fresh of breath air. I loved that she was a tell-it-like-it-is girl. I loved that she was a sexual creature comfortable in her own skin. I loved how she was the go-to gal for advice, sexual or otherwise and I loved how she went about dishing that advice out. LOL, I found Rainn to be the leader of their little flock of all the old ladies. The story was filled with so much love as well as brought us tons of laughs especially when all the girls got together and then all He** broke loose.

    My favorite scene with Rainn in it would have to be teaching the girls to lap dance.

    "I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes!"

    Rainn was the perfect match for Mannix as he was a very hard man and also a very broken one but, when she was near him he seem to be softer somehow.

    Rainn for me was a no-nonsense type of gal who will never take any crap from anyone and that goes from Mannix to and will always stand up and go toe to toe with him each and every time yet, she will be the one and only to pierce that armor of his. I love that Rainn makes Mannix feel things whether he admits she affects him or not. I love that Rainn's hard exterior beats the heart of a loving and caring and compassionate woman. I also found her to be tough, funny, sexy, and always had an upbeat personality that affected all those around her.

    I found Mannix to be passionate and protective of those he loved and cared about. Mannix was broken from the inside out and it was more than what the war did to him it was life's betrayals as well. I loved how he softened every time he was around Rainn. I loved how Rainn was always in his thoughts. I loved that Rainn was slowly healing him and his wounded soul by just being who she was. Mannix reminded me of a sexy pirate who I would not mind taking part in my own fantasies .lol Mannix was a take-charge kind of guy and I loved that about him as it made him sexy in my eyes!

    ~Favorite quote~

    Quote-“Rainn, babe, the day you walked into my strip club and demanded I give you a job, you mesmerized me. The night we made love for the first time, you bewitched me.

    In this story things heated up quite a bit as it became more suspenseful and more dangerous but, the stakes were upped because the men had even more to lose this time around. The story kept you engrossed and turning the pages to the very end. I loved the suspense but, most of all I loved the amazing characters that the story had for us to enjoy and fall in love with.

    I loved the story from cover to cover. We loved that the story was about love, healing, rebirth and finally finding the right person to give you the happiness that you rightly deserved. I loved seeing Mannix happy it brought joy to my heart especially after he lived in the dark for so long. I also loved seeing him reemerge into the living once again.

    Mannix and Rainn made an explosive couple both volatile and loved and fought the same way. As you can imagine they burned up the sheets!
    Omg! Did this couple create some major fireworks together?"Fanning Myself"

    Can you say Hot Hot and Hotter?

    Some of Mannix's secret thoughts of Rainn

    Quote - "The woman made sex look and feel like a sensual dance."

    Quote- "Rainn from behind had been a favorite go-to, as well."

    Quote- "She was a nymph who, basically, cast her spell over me."

    Quote- "Another thing Rainn and I shared, other than explosive sex, was explosive tempers."

    Quote- "Moody temper, sweet nature, sassy, and anything else she decided to throw at me in the future just as long as she was with me."

    This story as well as the series is emotionally engaging and I really love that story as one minute your laughing the next crying. I love that you feel connected to these characters. For me, they are all my favorites whether it's the men or women as they all have great personalities as well as their quirks that we love so much!

    Awesome read! Recommended read to All!

    A personal note: This is a series that needs to be read in order and although the story does not end on a cliffhanger all the books are connected by one common thread and are an ongoing story all the way to the conclusion of the series. I personally read the series all at once and I am glad I did because the moment I finished one book I started onto the next.

    Wow, I really loved this one, and I was worried about it. Was written very well. Lots of push/pull, but I think he definitely makes up for things. This one, parts were really heartbreaking to read, but oh, it was so good. Can't wait for the next as it does continue into the next and it looks like it's Creed's book and it's a little worrisome since anyone who has read these books knows that he loved his wife, but Leah Sharelle writes amazing books so I'm sure she'll make me love that one too.

  • DeeReads

    Very exciting story even though it ended in a very intense but necessary cliffhanger! 'So glad that Mannix (Beast) and Rainn (Lady) got their HEA. So sorry about Darth and Vegas (Julie) though... Finally, we discover who Rogue is and who has been feeding him information in the Wounded Souls MC! What a traitor she was too! And Shiloh is still a Miss Anne but the names she calls her uncles and aunts are adorable!

    Now how will Creed resolved this with poor Memphis now in danger!

    This series is best appreciated if you read the books in order. Great series!

    5 moving stars! *****

    3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK, or decent reads.
    =========================
    I confess that the heroes did not interest me as much as the actions of the villain who became more violent.
    Our hero has suffered a great betrayal of his ex-wife which has affected the way he views relationships.
    Our heroine passively accepted the crumbs of affection and an open relationship.
    When she accidentally becomes pregnant, he does not believe in being the father. Hence the drama begins and the push and pull.

    “Fuck me, Alannah. There has to be something that can fix this. You’re my wife, the mother of my kids. We have been married for thirteen years, for Christ’s sakes. Is this something you really want to throw away? I love you.”

    “In there are the results of the DNA tests I had done on Ebony and James.”

    “You aren’t their biological father. Cade is,”

    As I’d listened to their tale of deceit, the lies, and the hiding the fact that my kids were not mine, my heart froze over and became a solid block of ice.

    We were perfect, except for Mannix’s refusal to be exclusive with me, not that I complained about it—ever.

    No strings, no commitments, no drama. We always used condoms, without question.

    How could I watch him go off with other women? How could I join in with the other women? Which I had a few times.

    I took off to find Tori and Rainn that night for a threesome.

    I didn’t want any more kids—that much I knew.

    “Who the fuck is the father? Because I know it ain’t me.” No fucking way.

    He didn’t believe me. I meant the world to him, but he didn’t believe that I was having his baby.

    I was his friend, and apparently, no more than that.

    What I was sure of was Mannix didn’t trust me. Trust meant more to me than anything else. If he couldn’t trust me, then what did we have?

    Rainn was very adventurous in bed, and at times, we indulged in kink, a bit of bondage now and then, and a couple of times we had taken part in threesomes.

    description
    I've followed this whole series, and I've been dying for Mannix and Rainn's story. They've been an unofficial couple in a non-exclusive relationship for years. Mannix has one rule these days; don't involve the heart. He was in the service and had a wife and two kids at home. After one horrible accident where he lost an eye, his twin lost a leg, and he lost friends, he came home only to lose his family. His wife was a deceitful liar on her best day. She destroyed him for any other woman. Now his life is easy. He lives for the club and turns to Rainn when he needs her, no strings attached. My heart broke for him because you could see that he felt more than he was willing to let on for Rainn. They were perfect for each other if only he could open his heart.

    Rainn was a main dancer for the MC strip club. She was the best at her job and she loved the no strings relationship she had with Mannix. I absolutely loved her take-no-crap attitude, and that she gave as good as she got. She was amazingly strong trying to do what she thought was right for the club, instead of herself. I found her to be a very selfless person and she did everything she could for the other ladies in the club, no matter their status.

    When "Rogue" targets Rainn next and she disappears, it pushes Mannix into action. I took a deep breathe when he finally got his head out his butt and realized what he wanted. His insecurities got the best of him at times, but once Mannix Steele sets his mind to something, he gets what he wants.

    This series has been full of action and mystery. Rogue still plays a huge part, but they're getting closer to nailing him. This author is great at keeping you on the edge of your seat, just waiting to find out who it is and what he has up his sleeve next. One of those questions has now been answered and I cannot wait for the next installment of this exciting series!

    This series just keeps getting more intense. Let me start by saying if you haven’t started the series, now is the time. Just wow. The author has given us a great storyline with His Lady. This is Mannix and Rainn’s story. From the first time they were introduced I had a feeling their story would be explosive and may I say the author did not disappoint me.

    Mannix is The Wounded Souls MC’s enforcer. Having lost his eye in the service and then his kids in a cruel twist of fate, they seem to fuel his actions and his decisions even now, years later. That includes his relationship with Rainn. Due to his past he won’t let her get too close even though if he’d admit it, she owns his heart. As for Rainn, she is in love with Mannix and he has been it for her since the first time they hooked up. She’s a fiery, independent woman that won’t take crap off Mannix or anyone for that matter, but she too has her secrets.

    When Rainn becomes the latest target for the Rogue, the killer out to make the club pay, she runs away, causing Mannix to become furious and frantic to find her. When he finally does, and he learns of her secrets all heck breaks loose. Will Mannix and Rainn get past it or will his past continue to control his actions and leave Rainn still on the cusp of what could be? I Highly Recommend His Lady and give you 2 Thumbs Up for an amazing addition to the series. It’s definitely a 5 star Must Read in a 10 star Must Read series.

    I’m still trying to wrap my brain around all the amazingness that is His Lady. Leah Sharelle has fast become an author I adore with this series. Each book being even better than the last, but His Lady completely blew me away. I wasn’t even sure of how much I was going to like Mannix when I started this and next thing I knew not only did I love him, but I was more captivated by his and Rainn’s story than any of the others.
    There is SO MUCH, just so freaking much in this book that anyone who has been reading this series is going to be blown away by. From the intense deep love between Mannix and Rainn to heart stopping twists nothing can prepare you for the impact this book is going to have. Leah Sharelle went above and beyond with this book! I’m left feeling torn between having my heart overflowing with happiness for Mannix and Rainn and absolutely dying for the next book.

    This next book in the Wounded Souls Series, focuses on Rainn and Mannix. We were previously introduced to them in the other books in the series. We were also given hints at their unconventional relationship. This story picks up where book three left off. While this book is about Rainn and Mannix, there is an ongoing story line that continues through all of the books, that may cause some confusion, if the books aren't read in order.

    Mannix is a man who's life hasn't been pretty. Wounded in service to his country, when he finally came home for good, he lost his family in an unpredictable, horrible way. He is left with a mistrust he has no interest in getting past. His relationship with Rainn, while not normal, is all he can allow himself. It works for them, until Rainn goes missing, and he is left with only his thoughts.

    Rainn is a strong woman who doesn't need a man in her life. Her relationship with Mannix fills the needs that she has, but she wants more. It was enough, but now other things have come into play, and she isn't sure it's going to work for much longer.

    This story continues the story of the villain from the previous books, but focuses on Rainn, Mannix and their story. There is plenty of action, lots of heat, and even a few tears. Rainn and Mannix are combustible together, and their interactions are, at times, hilarious! I could see the sparks in previous books, and they blew up in this one! I'm looking forward to the next book, to find out what happens next!

    Title: HIS LADY, WOUNDED SOULS MC #4
    Author: LEAH SHARELLE
    Genre: CONTEMPORARY MC ROMANCE
    Rating: 5/5

    📚🤓 The Book Whisperer 🤓📚

    The other Steele brother gets his turn to shine in book #4 of this amazing MC series.

    The story continues with the Wounded Souls men and their women still being tormented by the mysterious “Rogue” who continues to wreak havoc on them all but it focuses predominantly on Mannix and Rainn.

    Mannix is a man who was not only wounded in service to his country, but from his ex wife too, she’s the reason for his trust issues that hold him back when it comes to matters of the heart, sure he has an “arrangement” with Rainn but it’s strictly no string attached that is until she goes missing and he has time alone with his thoughts.

    Rainn’s a strong independent woman who doesn’t need a man, she’s perfectly happy with her and Mannix’s arrangement that’s until there’s more than just her to think about and she decides to leave, but Mannix isn’t about to let her go that easy, His Lady is their story.

    A brilliantly written book with a great storyline and an amazing mix of characters, it’s got a touch of humour, heartache, a lot of heat and plenty of action, once I started reading I couldn’t put it down.

    Now the wait is on to see what’s in-store next from this seriously talented author.

    This series is a definite must read. Each addition gives you so much more. If you haven’t started this series, YOU MUST!!!

    Rainn and Mannix have been together awhile but it open and he wants it closed. The Rouge keeps getting closer and closer and this book will give you exactly what you need where this character is concerned. I love Rainn. Her wit and her spunk. Awesome writing with one heck of a storyline.

    ~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
    I cannot say enough good things about this book. This was the story I was waiting for. Mannix and Rainn are two characters that have intrigued me from the beginning. We follow Rainn as she runs away for the good of the club and because of her fears. Mannix will do anything to find and bring her back with Rogue out there still hunting the women of the Wounded Souls MC. We of course get more of my favorite sassy little girl Shiloh, she truly cracks me up. We get characters from previous books that I needed an update on. This book has plenty of dangerous situations, betrayals, passion, love, romance, family, brotherhood and did I mention passion. Rainn and Mannix have never lacked in the passion department but this but superseded all my expectations and then some. Amazing story and this series just gets better with every new book. I can't wait for more.
  • Julia Red Hatter Book Blog
    I'm not sure how Leah Sharelle does it, but each book just gets better and better. Mannix pissed me off more than his brother did, and that's saying something. He has a heartbreaking past, no doubt about it, but life/fate decides to put Rainn in front of him and give him something good. He decides to mess it up. Like a man. Though I do love love Mannix's devotion and love he has for Rainn. Rainn is my favorite chick, she's a complete bad arse and gives zero fecks. She knows who she is and owns it. Her confidence is awe-inspiring and her take no crap attitude is refreshing. Mannix and Rainn together for better than all the men and their ladies. Mannix couldn't have had anyone but Rainn, just as Rainn wouldn't have dealt with anyone but Mannix.
    The overall story arc comes to a head in His Lady. It leaves me terrified for the next book. We have experienced so much loss at the hands of Rogue but we have also seen devoted love in all the men from this hated man's actions. Once again Leah Sharelle takes me away to Australia in this rough around the edges with a gooey center MC. All these characters have stolen my heart and I can't wait to see if Creed will smile again!
    4 out of 5 stars
    I think these books are getting better as the series progresses. This one is all about Mannix and Rainn and they spend a great deal of the book mad at each other and the rest of the book sickly sweet on each other. :)
    This story captured something the others hadn’t yet - though I can't put my finger on what it was. Maybe it’s having everyone so involved and making reappearances. Maybe it’s that Rainn wasn’t a virgin coming into a crazy world. Maybe it’s that Mannix seemed more reasonable - or that I’m just getting more used to the Wounded Souls ways.
    Not unlike the other books in this series, the women are in trouble and there’s some pretty big crazy that happens. I actually found myself with tears in my eyes while reading a couple of scenes. And the club princess still lightens up the story here and there just like you need when reading something so heavy.
    I am SO, SO eager to read the next story. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
    I honestly didn't think Leah could out do the last book. But I was proven wrong! My goodness where do I even begin. I'm so glad Rain makes Mannix work to get back in good standings with her, after he panics and says some awful things. I was pulling for Mannix and Rain from he very beginning, even when I was pissed at Mannix I knew he would have a soft side. I keep falling more and more in love with Shiloh every book! There was so much in this book that anyone who has been reading this series is going to be blown away by. The twists and turns in this book that nothing can prepare you for. Don't get me wrong I am so in love with Rain and Mannix, but I cannot wait to get my hands on this book. This is a must read! Go add this book to your TBR list
    This is the fourth book in this amazing series, and in my opinion, these stories just seem to get better and better! Mannix is the enforcer on the Wounded Souls, because of his tragic past, he avoids any relationships. Rainn is the clubs feisty dancer, and she has loved Mannix for years. When the mysterious “Rogue” targets Rainn, she runs away. This is a wonderful, intense, and captivating page turner, and I was totally intrigued and hooked throughout. I cannot wait to read more from this exceptional author, and I highly recommend her work for all MC lovers!
    What a ride! Book 4 does not disappoint in this series! Mannix and Rainn have been in an open relationship for years. Neither wanted to be tied down or have the responsibility of a relationship. But then things changed. Now Mannix and Rainn must decided if it is worth it to fight for each other and can they escape Rouge's plots against the club. This book has some jaw dropping surprise and will keep you guessing. There is action, steamy romance, mystery and humor on each page. I cant wait for book 5!
    These books just keep getting better ... Mannix and Rain are both hot messes at the beginning of this book. Rainn ran and is hiding a secret and when Mannix finds her and her secret it gets ugly. He panics and says hateful things he can't take back and im glad Rainn actually makes him work to get back in her good graces ... no free rides. Shiloh is still super adorable in this book and I love that kiddo. Creed was the real surprise at the end though!!!
    Mannix Steel’s story starts off really sad. But his story is one that could happen to any man who is a Vet or is currently serving. Rainn Marcus misses her friends but she feels what she’s doing is the right thing for everyone.
    This is a couple that was interesting to watch. Mannix has a past that clouds his future. That past is what makes a relationship with Rainn difficult. We get to catch up on what’s been happening to the Wounded Souls too. I haven’t read book two or three of the series but I didn’t feel like I was cheating by skipping ahead. But at some point I do want to go back and catch up.
    I’ve come to enjoy this writer’s style. She knows just the right place to get me to laugh. She knows just the right place to tug at my heart. And she knows just the right moment to create some heat between the main characters. As we get to the end Rainn drops a bomb that has me anxious to get to the next book. And if that didn’t do it, it was most evident by the time I finished the Epilogue.
    I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
    Man, oh man! I really loved this book and had a hard time putting it down! His Lady was a fast-paced, page-turning story that kept your attention from beginning to end! Mannix and Rainn were just… awesome.
    Now, I jumped into this series right in the middle, and it totally didn’t bother me—that’s how good the story was and how well written. Not knowing the backstory of some of the characters didn’t detract from my enjoyment, because the chemistry and relationship between the Beast and his Lady was that strong. It had lots of action, steamy scenes, humor, and some tragedy. The book never dragged or had a lull which I loved. I definitely recommend to my MC lovers out there, and it’s different since the Wounded Souls are Australian!
    This is my first book by Leah Sharelle but definitely won’t be my last!
    The Wounded Souls series just keeps getting better and better as it goes on, with His Lady completely blowing me away. In previous books, I didn't really didn't quite get Mannix & Rainn's arrangement, so I'm glad that the brilliant Leah Sharelle gave me their story, because until she did, Mannix was kind of douchey when it came to Rainn in my eyes to be honest. See, he really got crapped on by his ex wife in the past, and it broke something inside of him, so his trust in women is nonexistent. Now he has his arrangement with Rainn, which is a friends with benefits thing which is not exclusive, but when she goes missing, all of sudden, he has to face some feelings that aren't making him very comfortable. And it only gets worse when he finds her, because things are going to get a bit more serious when her secret is revealed. Now, Mannix really pissed me off a lot for the first half of this book, as he just couldn't seem to say the right thing to save his life, so I wanted to deck him. Luckily, Rainn felt the same way, and took care of it herself, as she was a sassy woman who didn't take his crap for the most part. There were times that I did think that she did go to him too quickly, but then her walls were still up thankfully, so I'm glad she made him work for it a bit. YAY for the flock being back though, as they made me laugh again, with their hilarious antics, and of course, my favorite tiny human Shiloh, who stole the show again. On top of all this other goodness, the suspense factor of Rogue, which provides those f-bomb worthy twists, and now has a name, so yeah, getting closer to a big showdown. I CANNOT get enough of this series, and CANNOT WAIT for the next book! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
    Where to start; I said when I read this authors debut novel that she was ‘one to watch’ and I wasn’t wrong. Every book in this series has been phenomenal. The writing is engaging and addictive, it’s a bit like Pringles, once you pop you just can’t stop...you get what I mean right! I love that each of the books in the series has progressively given you information on the ongoing storyline whilst also focusing on the couple in the limelight. This book was all about Mannix and Rainn.
    Mannix has been a character that you knew had quite the story, and Rainn Storm, well she certainly lives up to her name! Okay so Mannix’s back story just about broke me, the absolute devastation he had to endure would have killed a lesser man, but not our Beast, yes he was left battered and bruised, but he came back stronger and with a fierceness that even he didn’t know he had. Yes he made so many mistakes with Rainn, but you always knew his heart was in the right place, even if he constantly put his foot in his mouth!! Now Rainn, well hold on to your hat because this girl is more of a hurricane than a storm! I loved her passion and natural instinct to protect those she loves, but also though she was a little wreck less, especially given how she deals with Mannix’s reaction to her news, she could have saved the men of the wounded souls the extra headache that her disappearance caused.
    Some of the scenes in this book really floored me emotionally; there is one particular storyline that really took me by surprise and broke my heart, I certainly didn’t see it coming and am not sure how my heart will ever heal, or that of a particular wounded soul 😭. The ending to this book was both exciting and nerve wracking, but no need to worry, my man Creed is up next 😍
    HIS LADY was an awesome story. Rainn and Mannix are great characters. They complement each other very well, but also shoot of sparks at every turn. They clearly care for each other, but both is holding back. Rainn because she knows that she will end up in a world of hurt and Mannix because of his past and his issues with trust. Rainn is the only female that I believe Mannix can trust, other than the other wives of the MC men, but there is always doubt.
    I knew from the other books there was going to be more to Mannix than I originally thought. He is tortured by his past, and that does influence how he acts in the present. I can now understand why he is so untrustworthy of women, and that does cause him to pull to really crappy things, but he does pull his proverbial head out of his butt. And Rainn, WOW!! Now here is a woman that can handle her own, but she still has a vulnerable heart. But her capacity to love and forgive is something that I really like in a character.
    All in all, great book! Some of my favorite characters come back and the action is definitely thumping in this book. There are more secrets and truths being told. We learn more about the danger stalking the club and get to find out WHO it is. Shockers will about, and there is a point that you will cry your eyes out with devastation, but you have to read the book to know why!! Now I am on pins and needles for the next book to come out. I need to know more and I need to see the how the next batter to the box make a home run!
