Jerry and Fran Tilson ran away to France a few months ago. (read the story in New House … New Neighbours )
Today is a big day in becoming part of the community. They are having a housewarming party for their new friends and neighbours.
Then after the party, there is the long anticipated visit from Fran's aunt ... the slightly(?) bohemian Gillian.
Turns out that it is a life changing visit, but for whom?

We join Fran and Jerry as their village in the Languedoc southern France descends on them for their house warming, nervously anticipated lost contact with relatives are reacquainted with, and friends from England are introduced to the wonderful uniquenesses of their life here. Broadly painted, yet imagery so vivid, the summer smells, and heat waft off the page, inviting the reader to themselves participate in Fran and Jerry's adventures. A spellbinding worthy successor to New House New Neighbours, its narrative inclusivity had me liking the principal characters enormously, enjoying the peculiarities of southern rural France and impatient to read the next installment.
