Lorelei Lang has no idea how to get her sexy customer's attention, but she's willing to do almost anything to meet him, even something as crazy as asking him out for coffee when he comes in to make a deposit at the bank where she works.

Sergeant Liam "Whisper" Davidson grew up being passed from family member to family member, and he learned the hard way that squeaky wheels earned attention, just not the right type. Army life fit him perfectly and moving into Keane "Ghost" Bryson's Delta Force team was a dream-come-true.

When he glimpses the beautiful siren at the bank, he wonders a lot of things, mostly if she was single. When all hell breaks loose at the bank, Liam is unarmed and has no way of fighting back, but Lorelei's as strong and resourceful as she is beautiful. Together they make a great team, but can they work outside of a stressful situation or will their whisper of a relationship be blown away?

Saving Lorelei (Special Forces: Operation Alpha) Reviews

I was going through some books in the kindle world and came across Julia Bright's Saving Loreilei. Ms Bright is a new author for me and since I adore Susan Stoker's Special Forces series, I just had to read this book. So glad I did because I really, really liked it.

I like how Ms Bright incorporated a couple of Susan Stoker's original characters (Ghost, Rayne) into the story. A good story can only stand on its legs if the 2 main characters are well written and I find Ms Bright did a very good job with Lorelei and Liam aka "Whisper". Can I just add that I LOVE both names?! Both Lorelei and Liam complements each other and you can sense their sizzling chemistry through the pages. I do however, like some issues like Loreilei with her annoying stepsister resolved as I find that it was left hanging. I could pick out a few other instances where I think the scene weren't really thought out properly but it didn't bother me too much, so that's fine.

I did feel it was a tad too long and it could do with a bit of trimming but overall I highly recommend this book.

Great story. Loved it. Love when they are together most of the way through. Safety: There is talk from the villains to the h about raping her, but it doesn't happen. There is a part where they talk about some men being in bed with kids, not descriptive. Only a sentence or two. Great read.

    Great addition to the series

Love this addition to the kindle world! It fits in so well! Can’t wait to read more! 100% recommend! Loved it.

Saving Lorelei is set in Susan Stoker's Delta Force Heroes world and is a good expansion of the series. Liam "Whisper" Davidson is intensely attracted to Lorelei, one of the tellers at his bank but is too shy to act on the attraction. Lorelei shares the attraction to Liam, and on one of his visits to the bank, she asks him to join her at a coffee shop for her break. After they return to the bank, 4 men burst in to rob the bank. What follows had me sitting on the edge of my seat! During the robbery and its aftermath, Liam and Lorelei form a close bond. That special bond comes into play when Lorelei faces further danger as a result of the robbery.

I enjoyed the story and the character development was good. Liam had a tough childhood and the explanation of that plus how it affects him as an adult was handled with sensitivity. He finds an anchor in Lorelei and he strengthens her in dealing with her problematic half-siblings. I'll stop here to avoid spoilers. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspense, realistic flawed protagonists and a happy ending.

I will definitely be reading more of Ms. Bright's work.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

During this time two brothers of the bank robbers that were killed decide to exact revenge on Lorelei. She stands up to them and Liam comes to her aide. They realize just how much they mean to each other...but will they get the chance?

A great story of insta-love amongst the Delta Force team, this time starring Whisper (Liam Davidson) and Lorelei, the hot bank clerk at his local branch.

Liam gets all tongue tied with Lorelei and isn't his usual quiet, self-assured persona. She takes the lead and invites him out for coffee.

The attraction is there from the start. When a crisis forces them to work together for their own safety, Liam comes to appreciate Lorelei's steely determination under the beautiful face.

This is a really enjoyable read, as you would expect from any book gracing Susan Stoker's Kindle World. An afternoon well spent reading this.

    Enjoy able

This book was another in the kindle novellas series. I have enjoyed every one of them and wasn't disappointed in this one either. This one was about Liam and Lorelei. I love when they look at each other and know right away they are meant for each other. Liam has to save his love a couple times and does so with out a sweat. A short read but a good one.

This was my first book of Julia Bright's. It won't be the last. I loved the way she brought Lorelei and Liam together and kept the sparks going thru the book. The ending is definitely a HEA that you will make you want more from this Author and from the whole Special Forces: Operation Alpha series.

    A sweet love story

Liam is shy, but he finally connected with Lorelei for coffee. However, he is tongue tied in her presence. When he is caught in the bank robbery at the bank she works in, will she trust him to keep her safe? An exciting story with some twists to keep it interesting.

I have discovered so many talented authors through Susan Stoker’s Kindle World and Julia Bright is no exception.

A fast paced, romantic read with a touch of action that was just right. H/h worked and flowed well.

    Alpha-licious

Whisper is the ultimate alpha and Lorelei is his perfect matched woman! This novel is full of twists, turns and challenges. But together they conquer all of it. Wow! Amazing story!

  • Heléne Johansson

    Wow, I love this one

Two people falling in love. He is a military man and she works in a bank. The bank’s being robbed and he helps saving her and the others. And the start to see each other more regularly then shit happens but it ends happily. Love conquers all.

    Good story!

This was a good fit for this Kindle World. The book was the first I have read by this author. To me it shows that the author has talent and her storyline shows a very promising, budding author that will continue grow her writing voice.

    Beautifully Written

This was a beautifully written story. It has a bit of everything in it, a bank robbery, overseas mission, romance, an almost rape and murder. Combine those with some very memorable characters and you have one great book.

Lorelei and Liam (Whisper) make a great couple, both shy for different reasons. She is very independent and not sure of her looks and Liam rarely talks and is shy as far as women goes. But he's there for her when it counts. HEA.

    Just right

The perfect weekend read, with just the right amount of lusty tension, warm fuzzies, and danger.
I look forward to more from Julia Bright.

    Very good

I enjoyed reading this book. I like that she added Ghost and his team. I loved the heroine, she was exactly what the hero needed.

  • Nutnut1(Lornajean Ford)

    Thrilling Romance

This is a thrilling romance with a lot of emotional and romantic moments as they journey towards true unconditional love and understanding.

This was OK. Really thought that the interactions with Ghost & Rayne worked well.

There was good character development & plotting.

BUT... even though I know that this is a novella... I felt short-changed. What was all the stuff with April? That felt like it was being built up to be a huge problem for Lorelei... but... nothing. And the thing with the ring? I get that Liam was intuitive, but I really thought that the fall out was going to be that the step-family had managed to get access to the bank vault & take the watches etc. Nods to self... definitely led to a path that was going nowhere. Sighs.

While it wasn’t the worst book I’ve ever read it also wasn’t even close to the best. I found it pretty dull. I didn’t really like Liam’s character. For someone who was in special forces he lacked a lot of confidence in himself, he never thought he was good enough and it was annoying and disappointing.

    Saving Lorelei

I was wondering when the other shoe would drop after all that happened at the bank. It was like Liam was feeling that Lorelei was in trouble but didn't realize. He was insecure about people showing him love, I felt sad for him. I loved how he always let her see his sensitive side.

  • Susan

    Good

This story has wonderful characters and a good story with action and romance. It was a bit slow in the beginning and just wasn't quite as enjoyable for me as most of the others in this series that I have read.

  • Charlene

    Lots of story

This had so much going on. An actual storyline. I loved how Liam was with Lorelei. And I loved how accepting she was of him.
