“Some people in the world you can walk right by without ever seeing them. Others, it’s like you were always meant to meet and, once you have, it changes everything.”
As the leader of his pack, Griffin is not a typical omega. As far as he’s concerned, he’s destined to be alone; unable to bond, trained to kill, and with the responsibilities of a pack on his shoulders. If he was ever to take a mate, they’d have to be unlike anyone he’s ever met. An alpha willing to stand back and let their omega take charge? Not likely.
When he finds a feral alpha fighter so dangerous he’s about to be killed, Griffin makes the ill-advised decision to intervene. He sees something more than an animal in the alpha’s eyes. But whoever the fighter was before, all that’s left is anger and instinct. Can Griffin coax the man beneath back to the surface?
‘How do you separate the man from the beast when the two are chained together, so entwined that they are one?’
The Beast knows only the fight, nothing more. He doesn’t remember a before and doesn’t trust the strange omega who comes to visit him every day, bringing food and meaningless words. Until, one day, Griffin brings a name, and a part of Beast hidden deep inside breaks free.
Beau doesn’t know how Griffin brought him back. All he knows is the omega is his anchor in a storm. When forces from outside Griffin’s pack threaten to pull them apart, he’ll do everything he can to get his omega back. He’ll fight again, even if it means losing himself once more.
Enchained is a novel-length read containing oranges, knotting, mpreg, some difficult themes, and scenes not suitable for readers under the age of eighteen.
Enchained: The Omega and the Fighter (Briar Wood Pack #2) Reviews

Much more angstier than the first one in the series. The story of Beau becoming the”Beast” was simply gut-wrenching and heart-breaking. 💔😭 And I loved Griffin in the story. His background story was equally sorrowful and ugly. 😢 But these guys somehow overcame their horrible pasts and found something worth living for. The narrative of how they fell in love was beautiful and heart-melting. 💙 And the little one just supported their merry HEA to the fullest. 😍 God, I’m such a sucker for men with baby tammies and cute, little, fluffy shifter babies. 😁 Loved everything about this one. So satisfying and authentic. Can’t wait for book 3 in the series. 😌
4.25 Finn is the anchor of Beau stars

To be honest, my brain is a little all over the place with this book. I really didn't know what to expect going into the story since this is my first time delving into the world of mpreg yet weirdly that wasn't what I had an issue with. Not that it wasn't very strange to read about dudes getting pregnant but anywho...the story just didn't work for me. I think if we had just more background on the world and the characters that it would have been better for me, but as it was I had too many moments where I felt lost. Some scenes just weren't fleshed out enough for me to get into them and even the characters never felt complete so then I never connected with them.
I did think the overall story was interesting though so I'm not done with my mpreg books just yet, and I do think I'll give this author another try one day. -
This book is even better than the first. I really liked it. It's well-paced, medium angsty and very enjoyable. I was curious about Griffin - he is definitely not your average omega. The whole pack is full of wonderful slightly broken shifters and together they make shifter world a better place.
The relationship between Griffin and Beast aka Beau is very peculiar from the beginning. I was astonished at how patient Griffin was, how he gently coaxed Beau to come back from the brink. It was amazingly well-written. And Beau in turn proves himself to the pack by nearly sacrificing his own sanity to save Griffin in return. So, basically this is a story of healing and love. Both shifters are scarred physically and emotionally but by being together, loving each other unconditionally they overcome the danger and odds stacked against them and create their happy beginning. It was a wonderful book and I highly recommend it! -
Okayish book. Okayish series, review to come (if I don't forget)

I loved every moment of this.
I didn't think I could love anyone more than Noah from book one but let me tell you...
These characters are incredible. The premise alone of someone trying to rehabilitate a feral alpha despite every other person's misgivings about bringing him into the pack is so good and it was all executed carefully, respectfully and in an interesting way.
The world that this series takes place in is so twisted and corrupt and it really warms your heart to see people trying to make a difference in the lives of mistreated shifters.
Nothing was rushed, the romance felt warm and natural and the development of the characters was much the same.
I hope that Clair is writing more in this series. -
3.75 stars
This book was a little better than book one but all in all I liked both. I wonder will she continue this series with Quinn finding a mate or will Griffin find Michael or a mixture of both with Beau killing Griffin's parents in the end. Looking forward to it. -
3.75 stars.
This was my first time reading an mpreg book and while I enjoyed some aspects of the book I felt like it was a little all over. I enjoyed the characters, the storyline but I wanted more information on some things. -
Rating: 4.5 stars
I loved this book. It was way better than the first book in the series. I absolutely loved both MCs. The way Griffin took in the Beast and helped him find his way back to being Beau was just wonderful. I loved Beau and how he was really such a gentle giant once he shed the Beast. I loved how both of them worked through their problems and didn’t let anything fester for too long.
I thought the story itself was interesting. There was a lot going on and where the first book in the series felt too long for me. This was flowed really well, and I didn’t really want the story to end. There is still so much that needs to be resolved even though this story reached a satisfactory conclusion, that I hope the author writes more soon. All in all, a highly enjoyable Alpha/Omega shifter story with m-preg thrown in. -
Holy sh*t this was way more emotional than I was prepared for 😭 I'm also late to updating my Goodreads and since I've already finished the entire series I can say without a doubt this was my favorite of the series. Griffin and Beau were just wonderful together and every one of thier struggles punched me right in the heart.

I liked this much better than book one. It was a nice way to spend and afternoon.

4.5
This was excellent. It had me all over the place emotionally but I enjoyed it because that’s what a book is supposed to do. You’re supposed to get to know the characters in a way that when they’re happy you’re happy when they’re sad you’re sad and that is exactly what this book did. The writing was great, the smexy hawt though I could have used a few more scenes, and I cared about the side characters. -
I have no idea how to rate this book.
WHAT DID I JUST READ. LMAO
This was one HECK of a weird-ass experience, y'all.
•Men getting pregnant;
•Knotting;
•Brestfeeding men;
•Men feeling "maternal";
•Birthing babes through one's back entrance.
Whut. Whut. Whut even.
My brain can't process this....but watch me read another one of these 🤣👏🏻🙈 -
Fans of hurt/comfort will LOVE this! And I think what I loved most about this was that this time, it was the alpha who was hurt, and the omega who was helping him! So many times it's the omega who has been traumatized, but this time Griffin, the omega and leader of his pack, is the one who comes to Beau's rescue and give him a reason for living again. I loved Griffin's patience with Beau and how gentle they were together.
There is a lot of emotion in this book, the connection between Griffin and Beau is beautiful, tragic, happy, and pretty much every emotion you could think of. My heart broke for them in the middle of the story, but they were able to find happiness and support with each other.
Very interested to see how the overall conflict and bad guys will play out, and I hope that they are able to find Griffin's brother - maybe his story is next! This story was just wonderful, I think one of the best things I have read from her. I really can't wait for the next book in this series.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. -
3.5 Stars
Much better than the first, and I’m glad I decided to continue with the series. I did still find the writing pretty flat and emotionless even though the book had a lot of emotions. I also hate how we don’t really descriptions on how people look... that’s another reason they feel flat. -
4,5 stars!
Somehow the series got better? Such a sweet and well deserved happy ending! I loved this so much! I really enjoyed that the couple had to fight for their love - more than once - and that they refused to give up on each other! This book had more than a few scary and sad parts that the couple had to go through and I love good angst so I was in my element. Seeing Ronan and Noah again was also a great! I may jump straight into the next one! -
Ah, this book was better. More angst, more hardship, a really interesting start therefore a happy me.
Yes there were also more typos and mistakes but they didn't stop my enjoyment of the book too much.
4 stars from me. Xx -
It started out nicely enough.
But again (it seems it's all I have to say lately) it was too quick and FLAT. No emotions arose or anything. Just here's the story, it ended, never thought of again. Forgotten.
I didn't feel the characters' depth of character or the story itself. It was interesting but didn't do much for me. -
I frickin love this series.
I Love how it is different from so many other shifter stories!
This one started with editing issues unfortunately. The first book was fine. Hopefully future ones will be better. -
Okay, so this was a bit better than the first book, because finally something dramatic and heartbreaking happens, and yet, all the events, especially the positive ones, are just sooo anticlimactic.
Things just happen, characters seem to barely react, and it lacks impact all around.
Also, there were parts of the plot that were pretty much 1:1 with the first book for some reason. Other aspects were changed, but that's still very lazy.
I am equally intrigued and unhappy with how shifters in this world work: babies just randomly turn into an animal one day, with nobody knowing what it might end up being. And so, different species can mate and have kids together, too.
The collective downfall seems to be the fact that only some shifters are compatible with one another, and so, in this series, an alpha will randomly come across an omega, notice they are compatible, and bam, they end up together. Boring. -
I found this to be thought provoking
I love the idea of an alpha/omega society where an omega is in charge (and is good at it). This world isn't quite like that as a whole, but the Briar Wood pack is a fun experiment to read about where the alphas all voluntarily follow their omega leader.
I loved the determination that Griffin had to save Beau in the face of everything that they all "knew" to be inevitable. I loved that neither Griffin nor Beau placed their hopes of a family on some kind of miracle, but didn't reject the miracle when it came. -
Breaking the Chains
I thought the author outdid herself with ENTANGLED, but everything in this book was equally or even more entertaining than the first book in the Briar Wood series. This was "Alpha" Griffin's story. Some series books can be read as Standalones, though not this one. So much groundwork - world building is done in Book One, this Second Book naturally flows as the sequel. I can't recommend both Briar Wood books highly enough.
Claire Cullen did a wonderful job of giving Griffin a story worthy of his stature & traumatic past. Being an Omega in charge of a pack of "misfits" (unwanted and/or mistreated "abused" by their former pack or owners) was difficult, but the Briar Wood pack leader rose to the challenge. Because his pack members had suffered emotional, mental, & physical abuse before they found sanctuary at Briar Wood, Griffin and other pack members helped with rehabbing view members.
Griffin has always been portrayed as so strong - sometimes emotionless, but in this book we saw all sides of him - and finally got a complete picture.
When Griffin insisted on rescuing through purchase a feral former fighting Alpha aptly named the Beast. Everyone but he had reservations. Beast's rehab was slow and taxing. He had to be kept away from the main house because he was violent and unpredictable. He had to be chained, as he had for many years of his life. Unfortunately his chains had be internalized. Even when given the chance to be free he was afraid of what he'd do... he insisted on being chained.
Turning the Beast back into a man was going to be harder than Griffin realized. And he could not see or refused to see what others had begun to notice - the special attachment & attraction pinging between the two of them.
I loved this story, this series, and I am hoping for more, until them I'll have to read other books by this talented author. -
A caring omega takes a chance when he sees a feral alpha about to be executed. He buys him and takes him home where he tries to rehabilitate him much to the chagrin of his pack namely his number 2 Alpha Ronan (I`m all about this pack dynamic by the way). After doing a little digging, Griffin finds out the actual name of his resident Beast - turns it is Beau. Over time, Finn wins Beau over and Beau settles in and everything seems normal unlike Finn is kidnapped. In short order, Finn is rescued but the mission was a close one for Beau. Luckily, Finn got him back from the edge. Beau experiences his first rut and he and Finn mates and by some miracle a pregnancy happens. Even though the pregnancy went through a rough patch they made it through to the other side. Finn`s parents from hell make a second appearance but Beau kicked their asses. Unfortunately, the bastards got away. Finn eventually helps Beau get to the root of his nightmares but his revelations bring light to a mystery Finn has been trying to solve.
The story was really sweet overall but I have a question:
How exactly does this omega pregnancy thing work? I came across it once before in a novella and I'm still confuzzled by the concept. So if someone could explain the anatomy of these omegas I`d appreciate it.
Maybe if had read book one there might have been some insight but that`s not the case and this is the book I ended up with. -
HARD FOUGHT HAPPILY EVER AFTER
This adventure begins right where book #1 ended. At the beginning of the next job. These books can be read as standalones. Characters from the previous story are fully involved in this one but not in a way that their presence has to be rehashed. This story is centered around Griffin, the unmated Omega leader of Briar Wood Pack. The real adventure starts with Griffin, buying a feral Alpha fighter before the handlers can shoot him. Beau is the Alpha Fighter known as the Beast. He has been feral for so long, that he has become a killer and completely uncontrollable. The only solution for him is death. The problem is that Beau is compatible to be mated to Griffin. This is a fast paced heart felt, heart breaking love story. You have action adventure, cranky shifter babies, friends banded together as a pack of misfits ready to take on the shifter corrupt. What more could you want!? This is another Claire Cullen extraordinary original. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS AMAZING SERIES!!!!! -
Griffin was trained from childhood to leverage his omega wiles on jobs ranging from espionage to assassination. He and his siblings were sold into this life by their parents and quickly separated. After escaping his handlers, Griffin uses everything he was taught to help others like him...and search for his brothers. He leads an unconventional “pack” of strays, rescues and misfits.
Intentionally scarred to prevent unwanted on-the-job bonding/pregnancy, Griffin knows he can never have a family or mate, but it doesn’t stop him from rescuing a compatible alpha fighter who’s about to be put down by his owner for going feral.
I loved how this story broke away from traditional shifter plot lines by allowing both omega and alpha characters to have satisfying emotional growth. Griffin allows himself to get back in touch with his omega traits without surrendering his pack leadership responsibilities. The feral fighter rediscovers his humanity, leaving the beast behind. -
I was intrigued about Griffin from reading book 1 in the series and was pleasantly surprised his book was next. Usually the major players tend to come further down the line in a series. I was also pleasantly surprised that my assumptions about Griffin's gruff nature from the previous read were ill founded. Beneath his composure is a bleeding freaking heart who truly just wants to help. He hates seeing someone suffering which leads to him rescuing a feral alpha fighter who no one believes is rescuable. In fact, his captors are in the process of putting a bullet in his head when Griffin happens upon them.
Much of this book is Griffin working to save "Beast" aka Beau from himself. For most of his life he has been brainwashed into being nothing but Beast, a deadly fighter who doesn't lose. It's Griffin who works to remind him that he is Beau and it is not an easy road. Hearing the things both Beau and Griffin had gone through in their pasts was heartbreaking. You really just wanted these two to find a slice of happiness for once in their lives. It takes time, but by the end of the book we see them with smiles on their faces. -
This is another wonderful book in this great series! It is well-written and I love all of the characters. I could not put it down and was totally immersed in the story from start to finish. Griffin and Beau have a very interesting start to their relationship and because of their pasts they will never be a typical alpha/omega couple. The incredible obstacles in their way are daunting but Griffin will do everything in his power to help Beau. I love their interactions as they learn to trust each other and how courageous Beau is as he starts his new life. The ending is great and I can't wait to read the next book in this exciting series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. -
Griffin is a Omega that was purchased by Alphas to train to kill and to work for them in seduction, that later becomes leader of a pack of different shifters that all have something to contribute to the pack or they train to be able to contribute. Beau "Beast" is a Alpha that was a fighter and gone feral when Griffin finds him. Griffin knows that they are compatible but also know that if Beau is not able to come out of the darkest area of him mind they will never have a chance. Beau proves himself to Griffin and the pack.
In a world where omegas are sold for training or breeding and where Alphas are sold to train to fight. Both Griffin and Beau see that as long as they have each other they are able to keep fighting for what is right. -
I was a little reluctant to start this because I really didn't like Griffin when he was a side character in the previous book, but I didn't regret giving him a chance.
Coaxing the feral alpha back to sanity was a plotline that met all my cravings for drama, fluff and comfort. And the suspense parts after also that had me well entertained.
Aside from that a lot of what I mentioned in my review of the previous book still stands. There was a little more explanation and background information, but mostly after the effect, like it's being told on a need to know basis. And one or two times it is done in dialogue, which had me wondering why an alpha wouldn't know the first thing about their own biology?
Anyway, I feel like this was a step up from the first book, especially relationshipwise.
