It's Okay to Be Angry: A Woman's Guide to Healthy Emotions Reviews

Disappointing. This book was written by 2 men, which I was actually excited about- thinking they'd cut past the crap and get to the point. Instead, I think the first 11 chapters were all about where your anger comes from, what your "anger style" is and digging into your upbringing to figure out why you exhibit anger the way you do. A typical, modern, psychological way of shifting the blame of sin to "its technically not really your fault". I don't know if the writers were trying to overcompensate because they were writing a book directed at women in particular and they didn't want to be labelled as chauvinistic? There were so many quoted statistics about how tough women have it compared to men- the underlying feminism made me sick. If you want to feel like a victim, this book is for you. If you want to be convicted of your sin and want to actually make steps to change, go somewhere else. "Anger: Facing the Fire Within" by June Hunt from what I remember was a briefer read, but actually got to the point.

A very insightful book on anger.
I highly recommend for mostly women to better understand that its okay to be angry
And for men in their lives so they can understand that some are humans too and are allowed to be angry.
