I Was Seven in '75 Reviews
-
This wee book is awful cute, and as Ellen Forney is only a couple years older than me, I found much to relate to, from the obnoxious brother, to overblown childhood drama, to the family vacations to visit nudist camps (however we didn't participate... just passin' by!)... all in the glorious 70s! The drawing style is very charming, too, like an illustrated note that you would pass to a friend.

This is exactly my shit.
-
I picked this up in a charity shop (of all places), and was reminded all over again of just how much I love Ellen's brain and her drawings
-
Cute little collection of comics about everyday stuff such as parents throwing themed parties and the joys of acquiring new tech of the day (a microwave).
I throughly enjoyed and found the stories to be relatable and humorous. -
ellen forney is one of my favorites.

For readers who enjoyed Forney's Marbles, this collection of short auto-bio comics provides a more lighthearted look back at the author's childhood.
