Ten years ago, I made a choice that tragically changed the course of my life.
It was a split-second decision made solely for my sister’s boyfriend.
I had no idea it could destroy my future, yet for the last decade, I’ve been dealing with the fallout.
That was until I met Jake. He’s funny, sexy and becoming my anchor of hope, giving me a glimpse of the exciting future I could have with him.
But the past isn’t ready to let go.
Elliott’s back, and the man I believed had forgotten about me wants to prove I was clearly mistaken.
I’m his anchor.
Now, the question is which man will be mine?

3,8. Adorei essa autora. Realmente sabe contar uma história. Porém algumas ações me colocaram com o pé atrás nesse livro. Por isso não dei 5 estrelas.
A personagem principal no início era uma e no final mudou da água para o vinho. Muito indecisa para meu gosto e naquela situação ja era para ter escolhido a pessoa antes de toda a confusão formada.
Jake, meu personagem preferido. Confiante, lindo, descomplicado e totalmente selfless. So com ele daria 5 estrelas.

Anchored by Ruby Rowe is an intensely emotional story that is all about heartbreak, love, loss, tragedies, lies and 2nd chances. Sailor and Elliot know all about tragedies. They have a past filled with secrets, heartbreak, and lies. After 10 years of living with the pain and guilt. Sailor is attempting to move on after dealing with the loss of her sister which is when Sailor meets Jake and they have this immediate connection and chemistry. Jake is super intelligent, and lighthearted. He will entice you into falling in love with him immediately, for I definitely did. Sailor is finally learning to let go of the past and is moving forward with Jake when she crosses path with someone from her past. Someone she never thought she would see again—Elliot. Elliot is Jake’s roommate. This is really where things get super good. My heart broke for Sailor because you can tell she doesn’t know what to do. She is just starting to move past the pain and grief that occurred 10 years past, is in a new relationship where things are bright and things look good and bam!! Elliot comes back into her life and Sailor doesn’t know if she , especially her heart can survive Elliot being back in her life. She has all these great positives about Jake yet the pull Elliott has on her and her heart is an anchor that she didn’t plan on. They have this “history” yet she has this new relationship going for her with Jake. Whats a girl to do? This is an emotional, complex and unique love triangle that plays out throughout the story and is filled with such depth and emotional roller coaster ride . There is twists, turns, ups and downs yet this story has you hooked from the start thru the very ending. I cannot wait for book 2 to continue Sailor, Jake and Elliot’s story. Ms. Rowe has written such an undeniable romance that will stay with you long after the book is over. It is another MUST READ from her!!!!

    My Rating: 4.7 stars *****
“I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."

Since I found Ruby Rowe last year, her work has continued to amaze and surprise me around every turn. In the first half of the Crashing Tides Duet, we get such a powerful story. It will break you, destroy you, and put you back together again in the most profound way.

In just this first half of Sailor, Elliott and Jake’s story, we learn so much about connections from the past, heartbreak that is incomprehensible, and the strength in these three characters have and how they learn to survive events from their past they all attempt to leave in the past.

Sailor is attempting to move on after dealing with the loss of her sister a decade ago when she meets the most fun and light-hearted man, Jake. Her connection with him is instant! They have such an amazing bond form the beginning that Sailor had no way of knowing just when she was ready to move on with Jake, her past would walk back into her life. Elliott is Jake’s roommate, and when he and Sailor cross paths again for the first time in over 10 years, Sailor isn’t sure her heart can survive. She is drawn to Jake and the newness of their connection, but the pull Elliott has on her and has always owned, anchors her to him in a way she didn’t plan either.

There is chemistry all around throughout this book and Ruby has defiantly given us a love triangle that will have you flipping which team you are on throughout the book. (Or so I’m told. #TeamElliott from page 1). I cannot wait to see where their journey leads them from this point and see if Sailor can find a way to be happy in her life after her tragic past with Elliott and the loss she’s experienced a decade ago that still holds onto her.

I was blindsided by my desire to devour this book. A friend recommended it and well, I can't turn down an adventure. The blurb sounded so enticing. But the actually story was far more interesting in a train wreck sort of way...It was a great read. It's probably the most awkward yet real story of its kind.

I don't want to give too much away so I will shut my trap. But first, the complex relationships and personalities make this book pull you in. Being distracted by the feelings and carried away by the past, it's easy to fall for both.

That being said, I am nervous as Hell for what comes next!

    🔥🔥🔥🔥

Wow!!!!! This was emotional, heartbreaking, beautiful, sad, angsty and sooooo freaking hot!! I never expected some of these steamy scenes with a book that started out so sad and depressing.

I can’t choose between Jake, Sailor and Elliott and I’m glad everything worked out. These three had a unique relationship and connection that changed their future and also haunted their past. I can’t get into details because it will mess up the dynamics of enjoying this book which I read in one sitting because it was so sizzling hot.

Ruby Rowe you are absolutely amazing and so is Anchored. It's an amazing, heart wrenching, and heartwarming story. I absolutely love the connection that Sailor, Elliott and Jake have. I would never be able to choose between Elliott and Jake they each bring their own feelings and complications to the mix. Sailor is an amazing, strong and beautiful girl who deserves the world. Elliott is an beautiful soul that deserves all the love in the world. Jake is an strong, funny and loving person who deserves everything. I can't wait for Adrift to see what's in store for these three. I absolutely love this book and I highly recommend it to anyone.

Anchored, is an amazing rollercoaster ride of emotions, twists and turns! Sailor is a kindergarten teacher who has been through unbelievable tragedies in her past and has learned to live a strict life to stay as far away from that past and unbearable heartache. She meets Jake by chance through his niece, who is a student of Sailors. The attraction is undeniable between them. As Sailor dares to stray from her strict rules and find happiness and fun, her past comes back to her. Elliott is Jake’s roommate and Sailors painful past, but he’s also the only man she’s ever loved.
I read this book in a sitting I couldn’t put it down. Ms.Rowe is so amazingly talented in how she perfectly placed these characters to come into the book at the perfect time. It felt real to me, I was right there with them, and it was very realistic in how these situations can happen and do happen.
If I could I would give this book 10 stars!!! Everyone needs to read this book!! I didn’t want to give anything away, but Ruby, thank you for this book it was so amazing and I read it again a couple days later that’s how much I loved your book!! Can’t wait for the next one ❤️
    PS: The ending is WOW!!!!!

I absolutely loved this book. Ruby Rowe really knows how to write a story that pulls you in from the very beginning. This is a very well written story. Sailor, Elliott and Jake's story is centered around the past and present. About tragedy, regret, jealousy, secrets, and love. Sailor and Elliott have known each other for a long time. Tragedy and secrets from the past has kept them apart for ten years. Sailor is now a teacher and Jake is the uncle of one of her students. Sailor discovers Elliott and Jake not only know one another but they are roommates. The story of these three is woven so well. Sailor is torn between the love she has always had for Elliott and the feelings she is developing for Jake. Each have secrets from the past that they are keeping and need to tell in order to move forward. This causes each of them to wonder if revealing them will help or hurt. Both men want Sailor and Sailor is not sure at times what she wants. The emotions while reading this book that you go through are intense at times and have you wanting to find out what will happen next. You will need to have a box of tissues close by. I can not wait to find out what will happen with Sailor, Elliott and Jake in Adrift.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Wow, what can I say—Ruby Rowe you did it again! This one threw me for a loop and BLEW...MY…MIND trying to figure out what will happen next! I wasn’t expecting the turn this story took; it was quite an unexpected surprise that may leave you exasperated wondering how did that happened! This was an amazing and beautiful love story that was so well done; it held my attention and was entertaining, but also was heartwarming, emotional, full of angst, and fascinating from the beginning until the end. This was a perfect blend of steam, angst, and a little bit of humor. I was enthralled with the characters of Sailor, Elliott, and Jake and how their relationships entwine. There are several surprises and plot twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. From the very first page, I was spellbound by these fantastically described characters that you will find yourself falling in love with—or not. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next with lots of steamy romance that is off-the-chart hot while the strong charismatic characters draw readers in and refuse to let go. You will love this book, and it will draw you in from the beginning to the end.

The cover of this book is justifying. The title is appropriate. The storyline is touchy and the plot was the amalgamation of beautifully segmented emotional events overall. The portrayal of the phases according to the story are well enough connecting and the characterization is superb. It was a satisfying read for me. Would love to recommend this book to avid readers for sure. Thank you.

    Wow! What an amazing story!

I can always count on Ruby Rowe for a heart-pounding, blow-me-away story. Anchored is, by far, one of her best, and I am on pins and needles, wondering how it's all going to play out. Elliot, Sailor, Jake--oh my. These characters are some of the best you'll ever read.

Ruby is known for her unexpected plot twists and for romantic scenes that literally sizzle on the pages. I'm talking, this author can write a sex scene like no one else. But there is so much more to this story-the mystery, the heartache, the emotional turmoil. Anchored hooks you from the beginning and leaves you dangling at the end. You're going to get so engrossed, you're not going to put it down. Believe me, this story is THAT GOOD!

    The past influencing the future

A tragic accident happens 10 years before this book takes place . Sailor is a kindergarten teacher who meets Jake a detective who’s niece is in her class . He realizes that he remembers her from back in high school .
Elliot is his roommate who was the boyfriend of Sailors sister .
A love triangle develops and Sailor has trouble picking between the two sexy men .
Beautiful written the story unfolds revealing what happened. in the past and where their relationships will go for the future . There are twists that unravel as you read this story. I totally loved it !!

This love triangle was so intense at times... I enjoyed the characters especially the different personalities and how Sailor found happiness in both Jake and Elliot. I was so intrigued with the story, at the end I sat back and realized holy shit! she fell for the same two guys her sister did... I wish the relationship with her bestie Carrie was explored more especially since she was her only true friend and only person who knew what Sailor had been through the past years.. Hopefully book two explores Sailor, Elliot and Jake's relationship. So curious how the turnout will be for all three. Great Read!!

I’m not crying, you are! Admittedly I struggled to get into this a little at first. I don’t like seeing scenes with other intimate partners (even if it’s before primary characters get together) I also don’t like love triangles but this book blossomed and transformed into so much more. Understanding the characters past made me understand them as they are at present and that made a huge difference. Once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down. My heart plummeted and then it soared. The development here really stuck with me and I’m eager to finish the duet and am starting the next book immediately.

This was my first book by Ruby Rowe and I loved it. So many devastating secrets Sailor has had to live with. Then by chance she meets Jake. Now she finally has a chance at happiness and moving forward until her past comes back right through the front door. Elliot is the past she thought she would never see again. Now what to do. So many twists in this love triangle. This story is amazing. Diving straight into the next book!

I adored this book. It's a great reminder that no matter what the past may be, no matter what current issues there may be, there is a chance to overcome. This one definitely caused me to get teary eyed a time or two. It's a great read, and I highly recommend it.

Great beginning at a second chance

Captivating story! It draws you in because at first you don't know what happened, but can only guess. As it continues on, more is revealed and love and loss dominates. The friendship and chemistry between these characters is amazing. Love this story and now on to the remaining of the duet! Highly recommend!

ANCHORED was filled with emotional depth and intense passion!

Everything seems to be settled between the three of them but this is a Duet which means there is another book!

I wonder what will happen in the next book! Will their love survive?!!

Amazing...simply amazing. The emotion within this book is off the charts. I cried so hard, I did also laugh a lot as well. The steamy sex scenes are great, and I feel it’s just started really. I’m so looking forward to the second book in this series. Very well written yet again by Ruby.

Jake and Sailor are new friends. Elliot and Sailor are old friends. Elliot and Jake are friends and roommates. What could the problem be? Guess!

Another great book by Ruby Rowe - Can not wait for book #2 to find out where this story is going to go. Knowing Ruby, it's going to go where we least expect it to.
