Join Bestselling Author Kelly Collins on another trip to Aspen Cove where anything is possible when it comes to love…

Aspen Cove, Colorado, isn’t on Lydia Nichols’s wish list when she finishes her residency at Denver General Hospital, but life delivered several surprising blows. Her long-time boyfriend, who was also her boss, moved on with a nurse and took Lydia’s job with him. No boyfriend. No job. No options. As a favor to her sister, she arrives in the small mountain town for a temporary job as the clinic doctor. Her first question when she gets there is ‘how fast can I leave?’ That is, until sinfully sexy Wes Covington comes into the clinic seeking care. With him around, Lydia may have found a reason to stay—for now.

Wes Covington left his demons in Denver. Working for his family’s architectural firm, he was tired of being almost—almost good enough, almost rich enough, almost loveable enough. He abandoned his penthouse, his high-paying position and his Porsche for simple, small-town life. All he wants is to restore his ancestral home and find a good woman who’ll love him for who he is and not what he’s worth. When Wes meets Dr. Lydia Nichols, he likens her to a hellion with a halo. She’s the perfect mix of sassy and sweet, cunning and compassion, but she’ll never be his unless he can convince her to stay.

Love blooms when the timing is right, but will Lydia surrender her chance at love or can Wes convince her that everything she’ll ever want or need is right in Aspen Cove?

    Favorite Quotes:

Making sense of her life was like trying to eat steak with a straw. How had it gone from gold to lead in such a short time?

Men were like Bluetooth. They connected to you when you were nearby, but searched for other devices when you were away.

In soiled jeans and a flannel shirt, he was straight off a mountain man poster—a cross between a geriatric Brawny model and grizzly bear.

He looked between the sisters. They were as different as the sun and the moon. Sage had curly red hair, green eyes, and was the size of a leprechaun, while her sister resembled Malibu Barbie.

I’ve never had sex in a jail cell. If we get caught, I’ll rock your world.

    My Review:

I giggle-snorted and smirked my way through this delightfully amusing and entertaining tale. Ms. Collin’s prodigious wit and humorous observations were in top form and sparkled throughout. Clever wordplay, snappy banter, and convivial teasing were deftly woven into engaging and well-crafted storylines that cleverly knitted in threads from the previous books without causing confusion and still allowed this installment to standalone. I adored Lydia and Wes; they brought out the best in each other and may well be my favorites of all of Aspen Cove, although they do have stiff competition as the community appears to be populated with the quirkiest of residents.

    3.5 stars

I love small town romances so I was excited to read a new to me author even though this was book four in the series and Kelly Collins has created an idyllic town in Aspen Cove, Colorado full of colorful characters. Filling in for the town’s doctor his accident, Dr. Lydia Nichols has one thing on her mind to find a job in a big city emergency room and get out of the small town her sister loves so much, but little does she know when Wes Covington literally faints at her feet her life will be forever changed. Off the charts sexual chemistry gives way to a slow burn love story with a few life lessons along the way in this satisfying romance.

I love a strong heroine and on the outside Lydia seems to fit that description and in her own way she is strong, but inside she is also still a scared 16 year old who lost her parents and was thrust into helping guide her younger sister and making her parent’s proud with her achievements. I wanted so very much to like this character but she just rubbed me wrong and for a lot of this book I felt the hero could do better. She was a bit selfish and didn’t seem to give as much as she took from their relationship which bugged me a great deal. While we did see some change in her over the course of this book, it took me a long time to enjoy her character. On the other hand, I loved Wes from the minute he passed out until he made the ultimate sacrifice to make sure Lydia was happy even if that wasn’t what was best for him. He had a giving spirit, kind to a fault, and is the type of good guy hero I always fall for in books.

I enjoyed their banter that at times was a bit confrontational until they knew one another better and it became more like foreplay. I can’t deny their attraction to one another or the heat that seemed to rise off the page anytime they were in the same room. I loved the town’s people who were a bit intrusive, but well meaning, and added quite a bit of life to the story.

Overall, I enjoyed One Hundred Promises quite a bit and had I liked the heroine better it would have been a perfect romance; sweet, sexy, and with just enough drama to make things interesting.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

OMGosh! This was so flipping hilarious. I laughed so hard throughout this book. At times, I had to put the book aside as I couldn't stop laughing (okay laughing so hard, I was snorting!) The story is written in a dual POV which makes reading so much more enjoyable for me. Getting to know these two characters and reading their story made the book just fly by. I LOVED it. I will definitely be re-reading this one again and again. We all need laughter in our lives and this one delivers.

My heart just swooned for Wes (and lets not forget his dog Sarge!) He knew to just want to do to make Lydia and me fall in love with him. Lydia was just a great. She was strong and compassionate and totally lovable. Yep, get your Depends out and get ready to have a great time reading this one!

4.5 - A delightfully comforting and romantic story set in a charming small town

This book was so swoony and adorable and my newest favorite romance series! Just so utterly in love with Aspen Cove and it's charmingly lovable characters that I cannot wait to binge the other novels.

I don't read small town romances that often, but when I do, I always have the warm fuzzies and feel so wonderfully happy. One Hundered Promises by Kelly Collins was no exception. This book was filled with heart tugging moments, steamy scenes, and humorous situations that had me flipping through the pages. I was positively enamored until the end and totally swooned like crazy.

This book also reminded me so much of Hart of Dixie, one of my favorite T.V. shows. If you've seen that show and loved it, then you have to read this book, and if not, and you enjoyed this book, go watch that show. They have some similarities, but still different enough that you'll find something new to love about them. Anyway, I remember being incredibly fascinated by that show and the delightful homey feeling of living in a small town. I was definitely addicted -- I've seen the entire series twice, and rewatch my favorite episodes from time to time. And that's exactly how I feel towards this book. I was hooked and never wanted the story to end and I kept rereading my favorite scenes just to spend a little more time in Aspen Cove. It was just that good!

So, obviously, there were many things I enjoyed and loved about One Hundred Promises. The writing was genuine, beautiful, and so full of heart. The characters were very realistic and so relatable and I adored them all so much. The plot was perfectly paced and balanced with sweetness, spice, and a lot of love. There were plenty of heart skipping swoony scenes and moments with warm fuzzies that will make you smile. The romance was beautiful and I enjoyed the relationship between Wes and Lydia. Their chemistry was off the charts and their flirtatious bantering was just so fun. But, what I truly loved most about this book was none other than Sarge. I love all animals, but I'm a dog person at heart and Sarge was just so adorable and spunky.

One Hundred Promises by Kelly Collins was absolutely the sweetest and so beautifully heartwarming. I smiled, I laughed, and I had the best time getting to know this amazing town and fascinating characters. If you're looking for a delightfully comforting and romantic story set in a charming small town filled with so much love and beauty, then I think this book is perfect for you.

I received an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • books are love

Wes was so so swoony. He was once like Lydia where he didn’t think of his happiness only pleasing others and earning money. Now he is after his bliss and finding balance in his life. He left it all behind to do what he loves. Wes is a great guy-smart, kind, generous and very low key. He doesn’t flaunt who he is or that he is a award winning architect. He loves his community and wants someone who will be there by his side making decisions with him together. He wants a partner in every sense of the word.

Lydia when you first meet her seems a wee bit stuck up. She is coming off a breakup that has derailed her career and she is angry. Men aren’t in her radar and neither is small town living. She considers this a stop on her career tour. That doesn’t mean she isn’t a good person she is just that her views aren’t like Wes’s. What we see though is that Lydia really doesn’t know what she wants for herself. She has been taking care of others and doing what she can to help them and make them proud that she doesn’t know what will make her happy. She is actually very smart, kind and sassy. Just a little lost. This book is her journey to finding herself and happiness again. Love the happy faces and the story behind it.

So how do these two with their crazy chemistry come together. Bees...Lydia is allergic and Wes had a room for her in his house. IF it wasn’t for the bees, Lydia would still be inserting her foot in her mouth and really putting down Wes and Wes would still see her as one who doesn’t care much for small town people and their ways. Those bees force Lydia to Wes’s house for someplace to stay and the rest as we say is history.

Lydia and Wes get to learn about one another. They become friends and see the goals and pasts of one another. They don’t act on their attraction at first. First they get to know one another and see that each other are not what they seem. Both are caring and kind. Just after different goals. We get some sassy banter and some fun times. When they come together it is steamy and sexy. I love the sacrifice Wes makes for love. He shows us that he sees what Lydia needs and trusts in love. And the ending that Lydia gives us swoon...She really gives a wonderful romantic moment...So glad for her and Wes...Can’t wait for the next in the series for Kelly Collins has created a sweet, sexy and fun series where you love the characters and their stories. YOu fall for the town and the people and just like their story of finding love and seeing the characters from previous books and how they are.

I read this in one go and loved this book so hard! I f you love small town romances go to the store and buy all the Aspen Cove books - and the Second Chance series too!!) These are wonderful and awesome romance books!
I seem to get addicted to this small town romance series by Kelly Collins! I loved this book (and the other 3 books of Aspen Cove too) I loved how the character of Lydia, the heroine in the book, became more developed in the book, from a dedicated doctor trying not to become involved with the people in the small town of Aspen Cove, to a compassionate and dedicated doctor who needed both her hero and the townspeople to surrender to her true feelings and character. I loved the playfulness and daredevilish character trait which became more clearly page after page.
Wes was smitten with her at his first look and didn’t need to have his character unravelled, because he had done that before and knew what he wanted.
This is what the book’s about:
Aspen Cove, Colorado isn’t on Lydia Nichols’s wish list when she finishes her residency at Denver General Hospital, but life delivered several surprising blows. Her long-time boyfriend, who was also her boss, moved on with a nurse and took Lydia’s job with him. No boyfriend. No job. No options. As a favor to her sister, she arrives in the small mountain town for a temporary job as the clinic doctor. Her first question when she gets there is ‘how fast can I leave?’ That is, until sinfully, sexy Wes Covington comes into the clinic seeking care. With him around Lydia may have found a reason to stay—for now.

Wes Covington left his demons in Denver. Working for his family’s architectural firm, he was tired of being almost—almost good enough—almost rich enough—almost loveable enough. He abandoned his penthouse, his high-paying position and his Porsche for simple, small-town life.

This is the fourth book in the Aspen Cove series to which I have read them all. It is a standalone book, but I recommend reading the series as you will get the whole small towns to feel. This book was hilarious with the delightful dialogue and banter between mail the characters.

Dr Lydia Nichols is a 32-year-old doctor that we have met before in book one in which her sister Sage moved to Aspen Cove and found her Happy Ever After and a place to call home. Lydia has come back to town to help out while she is between job and has no plan to say in this little town any longer than she must.

Wes Covington is a divorced man that call Aspen Cove home and has no plans on leaving the place where he has found wanting he most wants in life. He has changed in the world and found peace and a job he loves to do with a kind community to help.

This is a romance where opposites attract and hearts are manded along the way. Lydia’s first day at Doc’s surgery is a complete change to the busy Dever ER and Lydia finds the day very mundane until a very sexy man walks in with blood all over his shirt.

Wes does not give a great first impression when he first meets the new doctor in town, but he is totally impressed with the way she looks. She is sweet, sexy, compassionate and a smart ass to him she is a perfect woman. When an opportunity to speed more time with her he takes it but he soon learns she can’t wait to leave town. He is looking for a forever woman but she is looking for something for just now.
Can Wes make her stay or will the drive to be the doctor she dreams of being takeaway her Happy Ever After?

  • Jodi Bird (Ruby Red Romance Review)

5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review

This story made me smile, it made my heart break, and it put me back together. I loved every single second of this book. I fell in love with Lydia and Wes from the very beginning of this book.

Wes is an amazing man. He's had it all at one time, now he just wants a quiet humble life. He's a good man. He's not looking for short term. He wants someone that will be by his side day in and day out. Right now the only thing consistent in his life is Sarge. When an accident causes Wes to need treatment from the new doctor in town, he got way more than he bargained for.

Lydia, I love her. She knows what she wants, but a bad decision may make that hard to reach. Lydia wants bigger and better, far more than she will get from being a small town physician. There were times I was upset with Lydia. She couldn't seem to look past what could have been to what was right in front of her. Once she finally did, she saw that maybe there was more to life than constant movement.

I hate to admit this, but I'm new to Kelly Collins. That being said, she has a new fan. I sincerely loved this story. I enjoyed watching the fall, from both sides. Kelly did an amazing job keeping me sucked into this story, but it honestly wasn't that hard. I enjoyed every minute of this story and I know you all will as well.

  • Juliana Ignácio

I'm suspected to speak because I simply love all Kelly Collins' books that I've read. And with this one couldn't be different. The story of Lydia and Wes is beautiful.
After losing her job and her boyfriend, Lydia heads to Aspen Cove for a temporary job as a doctor, but her goal is to get a job in a big city.
Wes left the big city to live in Aspen Cove, leading a quieter life and doing what he really loves.
When they meet, the attraction is instantaneous. And when Lydia needs a place to stay because her apartment is infested with bees, she will end at Wes's house, where she is promptly greeted by Sarge, his dog, who immediately adores Lydia.
While they are living under the same roof, feelings grow and grow between them, but while Wes wants one forever, Lydia doesn't intend to stay in Aspen Cove.
Their relationship is perfect, Wes bringing up the free and adventurous spirit of Lydia, while she's making him live things he never did in his life, like the pranks they've done through the city. I just loved it.
But when Lydia gets a job offer in the big city, will she leave Wes and Aspen Cove to go after her dream, or will love be stronger and she will stay?
I loved the story and to be able to see the characters from the previous books again.
I'm anxious for the next book in this series.
    I highly recommend the reading.

  • Margaret Watkins

I thoroughly enjoyed this hilarious, small-town romance. From the opening chapter, the book was filled with surprises and delightful dialogue. Lydia and Wes' initial meeting was less than stellar, however as they grew to know one another, they found common ground and both were forced to alter their opinions of the other. I enjoyed the slow build up of their romance and then Wes' strategic wooing of Lydia. I was reminded of the Mother Superior's words from the Sound of Music, where she tells Maria that “When God closes a door, He opens a window”. While Wes understood this principle, Lydia took a little longer to come to terms with her career path and her plans for the future. I enjoyed the appearance of previous characters from the series in this book and catching up with their lives. It was like a family reunion. Wes is a heart-stopping hero and I loved Lydia's wacky sense of humour and her ability to laugh at herself. Although this book is part of a series, it is nevertheless a standalone and comes to a happy and fulfilling ending. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

    4 Stars

One Hundred Promises was my first time reading anything written by Kelly Collins and it didn't disappoint. Lydia and Wes' story is a sweet, emotional, and heartfelt small town romance, of friendship, family and love.

Lydia is a dedicated doctor who has been burned and finds the pace a little slow in Aspen Cove's little clinic. She's a care taker a heart, who thrives on success and has dedicated her life to making other's proud of her, rather than looking out for what she wants and needs.

Wes is a swoon worthy hero who is kind, caring, compassionate, sweet and caring. After leaving behind a life where he was tired of striving to make others happy, a change in career and lifestyle made all the difference to his outlook on life, that he endeavours to share with Lydia.

The chemistry this pair share is undeniable and share a fun, flirtatious banter. Although I haven't read the previous titles in this series, I found the side characters to be intriguing and endearing.

I look forward to reading more of Ms Collins work in the future.

  • Angela's Book Addiction

One Hundred Promises by Kelly Collins is book four in her Aspen Cove Series. It is the first book that I've read by this author and can definitely be read a standalone.

This contemporary romance follows Dr. Lydia Nichols as she joins her sister as a temporary doctor at a small town clinic while dealing with a terrible break-up and job loss. Lydia has big city dreams. She's searching for something bigger and better and plans to leave Aspen Cove as soon as possible.

Wes Covington, architect and builder, is one of Lydia's first patients. He once had the type of city lifestyle that Lydia desires, but it didn't make him happy. So he left it all behind finding happiness in Aspen Cove.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Lydia and Wes. Although they got off to a rocky start, there was an immediate attraction. I enjoyed watching them find common ground as they got to know each other better, fall in love, and find their HEA.

    * I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC. *

  • Reading Addict

I really enjoy these small town romances and Aspen Cove is one of my favorite series. Each book stands alone however I recommend reading them in order because the Aspen Cove characters appear throughout the series. Lydia is a doctor and is the older sister to Sage from the first book. She has lost her position at the hospital and her relationship with her doctor boyfriend has ended as well. She has come to stay in town with her sister but really has no desire to do so. Wes is in Aspen Cove by choice. He was burnt out on the grind of living and working in a big city and wants to make a life for himself in Aspen Cove. What this story is about is can two people that like each other, are attracted to each other but have different career goals make a relationship work? Well you're going to have to read the book to find out the answer! One Hundred Promises is written from dual POV and it's sweet with heat, a tiny bit of angst and plenty of humor. It's a solid 4 1/2 star romance in my opinion.

  • Em__Jay

ONE HUNDRED PROMISES is a wonderful, feel-good romance set in small town USA. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and the writing. I’ll definitely be reading more books by the author.

The book tackles some serious issues but does so with a light touch, so the story is never mired in a pool of angst. This book tackles many life challenges we all face. What do we want? What do we need? How far should we go in pursuit of either? Wes has already taken this journey and he has found both what he wants and needs in Aspen Cove. Aspen Cove is not where Lydia thought she’d end up and she is treating her time there is temporary.

Wes and Lydia’s romance was a pleasure to read. They have fun together, they’re physically dynamite together and they appreciate one another. Even the prospect of Lydia leaving is handled with a refreshing maturity.

There’s a lovely cast of supporting characters that give Aspen Cove its own personality and as much as they add to the story, they never take over; the focus is firmly on Lydia and Wes.

  • Cara

Doctor Lydia Nichols thought she had the best life! Achieving everything she thought she wanted, but when it all comes crashing down she agrees to cover for her sister boss in Aspen Cove while she regroup, while she gets set to leave, but what she wasn't expecting was the need in the town for her services, or her need for a certain smart mouth contractor.

Wow! One Hundred Promises gave me all the feels! From laughing my fool head off to crying sad tears, and as this is the first Kelly Collins book I had ever read, I was unsure if I would like it! But by the third chapter, I was enthralled by the town of Aspen Cove and the residents of it, and I regret not finding this series earlier.

The writing and the plot of this book is brilliant! And the characters are unique, funny, especially Ray and his honest use of going to Buttercups. But Sarge stole the show for me!

I give One Hundred Promises 5 stars! It has definitely earned a place in my heart and it is a book I will be reading again and again!

  • Donna

Another winner in the Aspen Cove series. It was nice to finally get to really know Lydia. She is a strong, smart, successful woman but in dire need of recognizing what is truly important in life. It takes her a while to finally get her priorities in the right order and learn to love life instead of just existing. Wes is a swoon-worthy man--smart, successful, sure of his manhood without being an arrogant alpha, caring, compassionate, and romantic. Plus, he "kisses like a porn star."

I enjoyed getting a better glimpse of Doc and Agatha. I loved Sarge. It was nice to catch up with the people and happenings in my favorite Colorado town.

I highly recommend reading One Hundred Promises. While each of the stories in this series is a standalone, I urge you to read the entire series starting with One Hundred Reasons. The series will be more enjoyable if read in order since the characters appear in all the books.

  • Kari Hansen

After completing her residency in Denver, Lydia finds herself without her boyfriend and as a result without a job. Her sister convinces her to come to Aspen Cove for a temporary job at the clinic until she is able to obtain a position in a major city.

Wes is an architect who has experienced the stress of living in the city but has found a home in Aspen Cove and loves the small town life. From their first meeting the sparks flew, and they had a way of challenging each other about everything.

This is definitely a case of opposites attracting and now all Wes needs to do is convince her that she has found what she has always wanted in Aspen Cove and him. I really enjoyed the small town atmosphere and the eclectic characters that go along with it. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

  • LaGina

I took a trip to Aspen Cove again to hang out with some old friends and got to meet the sexy builder names Wes that lives there. It is so great to be able to dive right back into a series when a new books comes out and read more about the people that live there. In this book we get to find out more about Wes and Sage's sister Lydia. I always find it a special treat when I can get a Kelly Collins book in my kindle. They are so sweet and full of emotion with just the right amount of sexy to keep you reading till 5am. Oh, that was me, sorry. ;-)

  • Kelly Lamley

Loved this book..... the story is brilliant, about a Doctor who's moved to a new town where her sister lives and how her live has changed and of course meeting a new hunk, but with a few bumps along the way. I'm not giving you anymore than that otherwise it will spoil the story. Everything about this book is brilliant, I loved the characters and the storyline is really nice, its not all about sex, it gives you a story as well. Well worth reading...

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
