    0, really.
There is simultaneously too much to say about this, but also it’s worth none of my effort.
    Thank you, goodbye.*

*I only read this for a book club where the prompt was ‘a book with a title so cringey I’m embarrassed to have this on my kindle.

This story left me scratching my head because the title has absolutely nothing to do with the story. Truthfully, the story doesn't make any sense, and it is just about senseless drama. The characters don't make any sense. This book was just a waste of time. If part two comes out, I may check it out to see if it bring this cauldron of nonsense together.

  • Kristin

    No, just no.

The book was everywhere and never stayed in one place. The characters were weird and didn’t make sense for the plot. I’ve wasted precious time that I can never get back and I beg of you to not do the same.

Clickbait! The title didn’t even happen!

I’m very sad. This had one of the funniest titles I have ever read. I was looking forward to reading the trashiest, stupidest, most offensive book ever.

Half of it was like that. Many of these stupid lines made me laugh. However, the other half read like a bad, boring soap opera. Drama and drama and drama. Just boring.

Also, this book was a little creepy. The author had ZERO problems with age-related things, which was very uncomfortable and definitely took away from the funny parts. Cant laugh if im cringing!

As I said above, the book is clickbait. There is no gay stepdad pregnancy. Instead, the book ends wildly with ZERO resolution, and he says to look forward to part 2. Well, this book was written in 2018, and Quan Millz, self described “urban fiction mastermind”, has an otherwise lightning-like writing pace. So the fact that I don’t see part 2 makes me think he may have retired from the series.

Admittedly, this does make me a bit sad cus I probably would have read the others. For that, the boring soap opera parts, and the creepiness, I wouldn’t recommend. There are probably funnier reads out there.

Maybe I missed something because I'm not sure what the title of the book has to do with the story. I chose 3 stars because there were so many grammatical errors in this book. After reading the first couple of chapters I was tempted to put this book down but the more I read the more I wanted to read.
If you can get past the errors I highly recommend you read this book.
There are lots of shady characters in this book!
Behind closed doors Church leaders aren't who they pretend to be.
I'm definitely going to need part 2!

  • Deidre

an ok read it just took forever to get to the interesting parts, and too many questions were left unanswered, it was just a mess, I felt like it would never to the point of the story and it was just all over the place, will not be reading book 2.

    Pleasantly Surprised

The title attracted me to see how the author actually wrote. He is not mediocre or joking on any level regardless of any perceptions about his titles. I guess I'll have to wait for the next episode for the title to actually be relevant to the story though. I will be reading more from Quan I love his descriptive and unique way of story telling.

    Good read

Didn’t know church people could be so scandalous and grimy wasn’t expecting that ending at all the Devon is really crazy can’t wait for part 2

  • Tiffany Toney

    Christian or naw;

Action packed, Shameya grows up w/ her birth parents & is living with a bad foster-mom& sisters.! Making it her mission to move to Atlanta, she makes it; but under different reasonings.!

  • Gip

The book was very good. Although there were a few grammatical errors, I couldn't put this down. The title of the book was kind of misleading. Maybe Part 2 will live up to the title. Anxious to see what will happen next. These characters are a trip!

  • Maebelle Richardson

Good read but there was a lot of errors in it and the title still have me a little confused. That ending left me with my mouth open. Can't wait for book 2 to see what happens with this messed up saga these people got going on.

  • Taylor

Well the ending was fun and I enjoyed how fast paced it was, but lowkey felt like the plot wasn’t going anywhere and wasn’t aware before I read it that there’s eventually gonna be a sequel to tie up loose ends.

  • LoveLee Kourage

I'm not sure where the title came in because it never came to pass in this book it was a great flowing book the ending was like WOW I'll check out part 2 to see how things unfold...

  • Halimah Grant

    I loved it

Omg this book was crazy but I loved it keep up the good and work and juicy stories can't wait for part 2 I live reading your books...❤❤❤

  • Kimberly

This book had no rhyme or reason to it. The girl never gets pregnant by her step daddy and a lot of the plot makes no sense and leaves too many unanswered questions and confusion.

  • Sharon Thompson-Lloyd

    Wow

This book was so crazy but good. Oh my goodness y'all better read this book. This book will captivate you until the end.

  • Stony Smalls

This book had me in a choke hole, okay . Watch who you call your friends .

  • Jake Bowden

Thoroughly entertaining but the title didn’t really have anything to do with the plot.

  • Demetrica Boling

    Oh My LorT

Four STARS because of the grammatical errors.
When I say every character needs their a** whooped... But that ending... I didn't expect a book two but I have to have it like a feign!!! Hurry up!!! I wasn't ready for an outright nasty no good character like deacon Durden... who could Heartlessly kill an infant/ toddler so dramatically so psychopathically and have no conscience about it? I feel as if he is going to do the first lady so wrong when everything hits the fan I feel like he's gonna be out to get her to because he has no conscience he just doesn't care about nothing but him and where he's gonna be or how high of a pedestal he will be on .
