"The Vessel" by Peggy Christie focuses on s group of rogue Chinese vampires target Nora who, according to a centuries old myth, is the embodiment of the collective energies of all the souls that have ever or will ever exist.

The novel was well paced and kept me locked in from the opening chapter. There is a decent amount of action sprinkled through and things definitely picks up at the end.

I enjoyed the character development throughout the story as we get to see a good number of them grow as the story progresses.

I loved the direction she took with the vampires and the background setting of China melded perfectly.

I would be curious to see this story involve with other supernatural creatures discussed in the book.

This was a fun little thriller! I loved the main character and her cheeky nature, her quips and comments would fit very well in my circle of friends.

This was a different type of vampire story than I’ve read before.. I truly liked the concept. I did spend some time looking up proper pronunciation of names as I have little to no knowledge of Asian pronunciations..

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, not quite as dark as I expected but was very glad for it!
