Démanteler les frontières: Contre l’impérialisme et le colonialisme (French Edition) Reviews

The book is a mess. Walia has problems getting the issues, and the argument turns into a
Greta Thunberg sort of tantrum. Because the source of Walia's chagrin is the State. The same State that is supposed to be a nanny for his pet projects. And the Capitalism, that he hates so focused, is the one that gives the rays of optimism in this whole mess.
It's the State that has invented the borders. And it's the Capitalists the only ones who are making an effort to open those borders.
It's the State that is making a continuous effort to limit access to work, in order to make the serfs, slaves. And it's the Capitalists who are bringing both the jobs, and the products that make the life more bearable for the serfs.
It's the State that relies on gender roles to extract its power from the serfs. And it's the Capitalists who are ignoring the rules and selling to the untouchable for a profit.
It's the State that makes the colonies, because the State can't create anything. And it's the Capitalists with their free markets that are ready to buy from anybody and sell to anybody.
In the end, Walia is an excellent example of the monstrosity of the State: wanting to destroy the last remnants of Capitalism for the eternal glory of the crushing State.
