Well...I've had the absolute pleasure of reading this creative and decadent anthology since September 2017! While life hacks prevented me from powering through quicker lol...I'm glad to have indulged in its delightful magnificence!
While every story was well-crafted and shone brightly like a chocolate silver wrapper, it was 'Like Blood For Chocolate' by Holly Gonzalez - one of Speculative Fiction's Finest - that was the golden-glowing stand-out read for me!
Furthermore, the anthology's main author, Steven R. Brandt, added extra sweetness to this assorted batter by having an interlude story within the story! This was fantastic as it bound each of the author's offerings together! Not only this, but the sub-narrative of Scheherazade has potentially given rise to a second 'Undeath By Chocolate' anthology... Perhaps one in which the infamous ComicCon authors make their 'artisan' return, and possibly add some new storytellers to the mix...? It's an interesting concept, and indeed, time will tell... ;)
