First WordsJapanese: 100 Japanese words to learn (Lonely Planet Kids) Reviews

A fantastic little intro to Japanese - great for kids but useful for a totally ignorant adult too (me, in this case). Good illustrations, with the English and Japanese words side by side for easy comprehension. Lots of basic words here: cat = neko, bed = beddo, moon = tsuki, book = hon, phone = denwa etc.

This was a fun little intro to Japanese with some good words to ponder.

I am six and I think this was a good learning book and now I know Ramen is the the Japanese word for noodles!

Nice simple pictures to go along with different vocabulary that included the English word, hiragana/katakana, Romanji, and pronunciation in a very clear manner.
