WOW!!! The idea behind this story is a scary one and if looked at very closely you’ll realize that everything in this story has some sort of truth and it’s a scary reality.

Racism that takes the form of monsters, just fucking crazy.

If the first issue is any indication, this could be one of my favorite horror comics ever. Poignant, timely, and scaaaaaaaaary. Can't wait to hit my local comic shop for more (and that's saying a lot, as I always wait for the trade paperback to collect 'em all). HIGHLY recommended!

An excellent debut with fully fleshed out characters and a creepy atmosphere. The characters are believable and real, and the main character, Aisha, is allowed to be a believable Muslim woman. Her engagement to a non-Muslim man seems to be what is spurring the horror. It is a horror of being surrounded by people who you know secretly despise you for who you are. The horror so far is abstract, but the imagery is terrifying. I can’t wait to see where this goes.

This is a gorgeous marriage of horror story and art. The back-up feature expresses the author's intent to tell a horror story of what we see going on in our world right now and that goal came across with flying colours. It's additionally unsettling by how believable the situation is. I'm pulling back a star because I didn't like where the last issue ended, but that could say a lot too for the story. We'll see by #2 if that pays off, but for now I'll be selfish. I want good things for our protagonists. Good things!

This was one scary comic book! I don’t yet know what is going on but I’m definitely going to find out.

Smart and subtle, Infidel is a modern approach to horror and suspense told with care and populated with fully realized characters. If you are looking for substance over spectacle, this is the place to find it.

This is the best first issue I've read in a while, interesting story about people in a difficult situation involving issues of race, that were handled very maturely I think, with a cool supernatural element lurking in the background. Gonna try and keep up with it

A unbelievable start for then editor now writer Pornsak Pichetshote!
    Grotesque, horrifying and beautifully made.
Made me fear what is the dark, is a trick of the light or... something more?

Some gorgeous art here. Some good creep. I'm very excited for this title. Probably have to put it on my pull list.

Heading for #2! The art is a totally magnificent and writing of Pornsak is so extraordinary and wonderfully bizarre. It was one of the scariest first issues I have ever read also.
