Poetry. From the publisher's catalogue: "In the fall of 2016, Bryan Borland embarked on a book tour that took him across the United States. Set against the backdrop of a divisive presidential campaign with an unanticipated victor, an explosion in New York, a historic World Series, the largest poetry event in North America, and a maturing relationship at home, Borland navigates the ways we become tourists in our own lives."

-
Bryan Borland is one of my favourite discoveries of the year, and fast becoming a favourite poet of mine. In this small—but consistently alive—collection, Borland reflects on what Trump America means for our lives, our relationships, and our hope.
I know my life has been altered in the past two years in what seems to be irrevocable ways. It's brutal out there, and endlessly tiring. Borland's poetry gives my aching bones a safety net within to fall—to reflect on my feelings of fear, abiding love, uncertainty, and revolution—and to keep on imagining a better country.
Thank you, Bryan! -
Borland’s voice never disappoints. He writes of the complex in such a smooth way. These poems mourn.
