By the end of this book I assure you that it will help you cultivate mental toughness to resist temptations, improve your motivation and become disciplined enough to achieve all of your goals.
All of us want to achieve certain things, which is why we often set goals centered on our aspirations. However, when we start pursuing our goals, it dawns on us that achieving any goal is not as easy as setting them. When this realization hits home, many of us quit before getting close to the finish line. This happens primarily because of a lack of self-discipline.
When you lack self-discipline, succumbing to temptations is always the easy choice. When you do that, i.e. give in to your temptations, you give them power over you. Your temptations play tricks on you and while you may think they are relaxing or entertaining, they're actually devouring your time and motivation.
However, if you pay attention to your thoughts, how they lure you into giving in to your temptations, and work on developing more self-discipline, all this can change for the better. You can achieve all you want. You can build a meaningful life for yourself. You can be successful, happy, and live a fulfilling life. If you work on becoming mentally tough and disciplined, you can be the real boss of yourself.
If you are committed to increase self-discipline, keep reading because this book outlines and then in detail, discusses actionable and effective strategies that when implemented, will help you become mentally tough, resist your temptations and improve your motivation.
According to a research paper by June P. Tagney (Department of Psychology, George Mason University) , findings linked self-discipline to successful outcomes
And a recent study by W. Hofmann (University of Chicago) found that self-control positively contributes to well-being, life satisfaction and happiness!
There are countless other studies backing up the effectiveness of self-discipline.
Knowing is just half the battle and the other half is action, as such I highly encourage you to pick this book up, read it and get started with finally achieving your goals with confidence and self-discipline!

5 Stars: SMART
What is summer reading without a self-help book to motivate me to complete my summer "To Be Review" list or having answers for my friend currently seeking employment? Part of a having summer reading list is to stack up on short reads; I sat after touring San Jose Museum of Art and read "Self-Discipline: Grow Your Mental Toughness To Resist Temptation, Become More Motivated And Finally Get Things Done! (Self-help, Self Improvement, Self Control)" By Keith Coleman. It's an easy read and reference-worthy when you are stuck on a goal or reverting to bad habits.
Keith Coleman encouragement on adopting "S.M.A.R.T. Goal" approach when you want to complete a goal is something I teach my students during summer school in China. "What is a SMART goal? SMART is an acronym that stands for ‘Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-tagged." Many times we fail our goals because they usually are the opposite of "SMART," I am delighted that Keith confirms my style of living. Other tidbits of helpful information to kick bad habits are covered with accuracy and purpose, a well enjoyed quick read at the museum. -
A short, motivating, enjoyable read.
This book is a good self-help as well as reminder for us. This book reminds us that when we feel like failing and unmotivated to finish what we should have finished and achieve what we should have achieved, we need to look and find what keeps us from our goal. Then, provides Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-tagged (SMART) goal which will help us to achieve our goal.
I like the precise wordings of this book. The steps are easy to follow and really helpful. Something that we can reread whenever we feel like unmotivated.
